You know some dumb shit I'm not seeing talked about?
For the longest time when we complained about things like warped accessories with action figures, it was blamed on, in whole or in part, that pressing the items into the plastic tray to insert them into the packaging would sometimes bend the weapon...
Except one of the upsides of the windowless packages (which i personally prefer but that's it's own bag of chips) is that the weapons go in a cute hand folded paper bag and dropped into an oversized cardboard box inside a largerore sturdy cardboard box. There is no physical pressure on the weapon twisting it or bending it in any way, and yet, they're STILL coming out of the box warped.
That's a problem of the piece coming out of the mold while it's still warm, and it's an inadequate grade of PVC that is too soft a durometer for those items.
Bobby has been upfront that he opted for ABS because it's solid and hard when fully cured and it's not being pulled before that cure sets to be added into his packaging. This isn't rocket science.
Now some folks i see in these comments are noting correctly that the age range for these products is very different. One is a toy, one is an adult collectible, but like, if you're admitting it's a kid's toy, like how can you complain when shit is soft? I'm really curious how Hasbro is putting "4 and up" on that package while there are tiny knives and removable magazines and shit, but for kids, those are choke hazards. And they're definitely going to be lost. Kids toys are supposed to meet safety standards like "not a choke hazard" yet here they are... which kind of tells me they're trying to be clever but they KNOW that kids aren't buying these, only adults.
So no problem, make these Pulse exclusive, bump the quality to a true adult collectible and cut the crap. No kid's grandma is rushing to Walmart to buy little Jennie her favorite Retro carded Scarlett for her birthday.

If I was to start collecting Joe's, I'd go with valaverse for sure, they look so good and detailed. Great comparison video.

I was just talking to a friend about this today, it's really weird how they did that and you don't see a similar (lack of quality) in Hasbro's other lines. This is clearly a decision that was made and they won't address.

I have heard the argument, not from Hasbro but from McFarlane Toys (who also has weak weapons for their figures) that they use the softer plastic to give it the "bend not break" quality. So that a softer piece will bend instead of snapping like stiffer weapon would. I think there's merit to that, but really it's when you're talking about longer, thinner figure weapons, like swords. The weaker plastic for some reason really didn't hit me until I opened the Range Viper and I was able to practically bend the grenade launcher in half! I'm not a big Valverse collector - I have Desert Rat and their first Sgt. Slaughter, along with a few others, but I was thinking of getting the Crimson Shadow weapon tin. I had a viewer comment that they like the Valaverse weapons, but they're just a little too big, and they have a hard time getting figures to shoulder the weapons. Have you noticed anything like that?

Yeah the Vala weapons are a little larger. Especially the pistols. I’m honing go get some of the newer weapon sets like the golf one with the mini gun

Classifed weapons have gotten better designs but more flimsy. Probably cost cutting measure, but also they are less likely to break. So pros and cons. Valaverse weapons are superior, but a little on the bigger side and more pricey. You have to buy weapon packs to fully load your action force figures (unless its a deluxe)while the classified figures already come fully loaded.

I don’t get it they were 20 bucks when they first game out with the quality weapons then they raise the price and we get shitty weapons. Where’s the money going? And on top of that they changed factories during the Falcon wave and now we are getting QC issues with some figures.

CEO pockets, of course. Like prices have gone up, accessories like extra hands or heads (spreaking mainly marvel legends) reduced if they come at all.

The question is, do you aim at collectors or kids.
For kids, bendy is preferable, for collectors rigid.

Valaverse action figures can only be sold for ages 14 and over and the accessory material can shatter . Hasbro Gi Joe is available for kids 4 and over , Accessories are not meant to shatter and are flexible. The GiJoe weapons have not reduced their material , Your showing weapons that are designed differenty in shape thickness and length. The early weapons were thicker. Weapons that are long and thin are more prone to warp. , For retail distribution and insurance purposes Mass retailers as well (CPSC) have safety standards and requirments. Valaverse to be able to enter retail mass distribution would require to change how he makes his products . Which is not that difficult for him , but might be pricey

Not bashing? No this needs to be bashed so they will fix it. No excuse for this. Age limit excuse is bullshit as I had hard plastic weapons as a kid. Their target buyer are adults aged 35-55 not today's 5 year old who cares more about their tablet. Besides if you put a 10+ age limit on the box parents are still going to buy them for their kids......or no kid is playing Call Of Duty right now 😏
