Actually, a Rancor Keeper is a pretty safe job, as in lore they are stated to be non-aggressive and intelligent creatures. Jabba's Rancor only became aggressive due to what we can assume is mistreatment and abuse.
Regardless of how aggressive it is, a Rancor is still huge, with sharp teeth and claws. It’d probably step on you or swipe you with its claws by accident on at least a few occasions. And that’s not even going into the possibility that your pet rancor might chew on one of your belongings. You know how sometimes, dogs and cats will try to eat things that aren't edible, and you have to pull it out of their mouth before they can swallow it? Imagine having to do that with a rancor. Putting your fingers anywhere near its jaw carries a high risk of losing a hand.
Even then, Pateesa was quite affectionate with Malakili. In Legends there’s even a moment where he took the rancor for a walk (as you do), and the creature protected him from Tusken Raiders.

There needs to be a story game where you can explore the entire galaxy in a nonlinear way, with consistent updates that allow for the opportunity of the galaxy to be expanded.
quite a few of these feel like they are bad in hindsight on account of ending up dead... you cold say Clone Trooper fits in with this. Some of them are just crappy jobs, but was being a cloner a bad job? when they were building the clones
I dont think you should count anything done by a slave as a "job" because they don't have a choice and don't get paid. I think you should also stick to jobs that weren't species specific as they might not be considered bad jobs for that specific species
Bounty Hunting doesn't have to be dangerous, after all, you're the one picking the assignment. The pay may be lower but doing easier jobs is also available
Sith assassin is a truly horrible one. Some masters would outright torture their assassins in training like happened to Maul. Aside from all these, a smuggler would potentially be a bad job. Some of them had to move really bad and dangerous stuff, and throughout galactic history they'd have to deal with both pirates and varying authorities eager to either pillage them or arrest them and confiscate what they had. You could also say a cantina owner on Nar Shaddaa is a truly horrible job. There would be a lot of business but many customers there would be ready to suddenly start killing each other in your cantina. You'd also more likely than not be dealing with extremely shady customers all day every day, some of whom might even consider robbing you. You'd have to deal with the potential of being collateral damage in vicious barfights, people who might specifically target you, possibly have to drive out dangerous and unwanted types who might consider paying you back in a terrible way like blaster to the face or a beating, and to top it off the entire world is owned by Hutts. Nar Shaddaa's people would all be subject to Hutt laws made by slugs who consider themselves to be practically gods above everyone else and see all other life if tools to be used. Really, every job on that planet would suck in some way.
3:55 doesn't sound that diffrent then working as a zookeper on at an animal shelter and given that were dealing with a hot dry planet I could see myself living in one of those caves.
As it was mentioned at the beginning of Darth Bane: Path of Destruction, cortosis mining was really worse, constant back breaking labor where you would work for 8-12 hours a day only getting paid when you bring up cortosis, you had to use a hydraulic jack to even break it off the vein. You could work the same vein all day and potentially not even get anything for the day. To make matters worse, the mines were not the safest places to work, even without the cave-ins, the miners typically did not have long life spans, the miners would lose their hair. The only "upside" might be that the miners were usually ripped with muscles from handling the jack all day. If I remember right, it was a 7 day a week job as well. Side note: Malakili was not a "rancor keeper", his title was "beastmaster", the rancor was just his favourite. It would still be a relatively shitty job (pun partially intended).
excellent book Really anything involving mining was usually a pretty bad job, as miners for spice and cortosis essentially had subpar living conditions, were subject to lots of health issues from the job, didn't have much rights, and usually there was some sort of unfair system to control them and keep them from getting out of the profession. (often by keeping miners in debt so they had to work to pay the debt off, which was made as difficult as possible) Plus, miners could fight amongst themselves to try and get whatever little they could. (evident in DB POD)
I got one, becoming the property of a kaminoan cloner. Having your age, sex, species, and every thing else fair game for your master to change and by the way disobedience can lead to termination.
