Well I know where I will be visiting when I visit New York for the first time :). I love a good deli especially when it's an Italian deli or old school deli period.

Sure. Amazing. And it's famous, not because it's old, not because it's great, but because one scene of a beloved romantic comedy movie was filmed there. It would be famous, even if a Columbian drug cartel owned it.
So from what I’ve gotten from the comments this place is an overrated and overpriced tourist trap that only became famous because they filmed that one famous scene from “when Harry met sally” there

I’m going to NYC in December and I can’t wait to come here!!
Don't! Literally just read any of the other comments here
He Cant Even Break Eggs😑😭
I don't care how good the pastrami sandwich is. There is no way one single food item is worth $27.00 bucks. That sounds outrageous, even for NY standards.
It’s 2:00 AM and I’m hungry as hell, what is wrong with me?
Well I know where I will be visiting when I visit New York for the first time :). I love a good deli especially when it's an Italian deli or old school deli period.
Prices went way through the roof and sandwich size has been reduced by more then half. They done went Hollywood. Still good though.
Was privileged to eat at Katz’s on my last trip to New York. The history and the vibe of the place when you walk in is amazing. It’s like all the spirits of the old patrons and owners still hang out there every day!
This guy makes it all sound so yummy.. I can almost taste his arrogance from here.
What a jamook!
What a treasure and privilege to have this kind of family heirloom! And it sounds like the great grands are taking pride in and care of the place like it should be! It's crazy because a lot of family businesses don't go past either the second or third generation, if that! Amazing!
Sure. Amazing. And it's famous, not because it's old, not because it's great, but because one scene of a beloved romantic comedy movie was filmed there. It would be famous, even if a Columbian drug cartel owned it.
Don't wanna trigger anyone but a latke looks like a traditional hash brown
I didn't know hashbrowns had egg in them. You can't tell the difference?
A LOT spicier than hash browns.
@John Syzlack holy shit hahaha
Love Katz’s. Never change!
Can you get gluten free, non GMO, vegan, free range, tofu pastrami here?
lmaoo
if the tofu is free range it can walk so it's not vegan.
Can you fly me to the moon?
thegreatcalvinio GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE
Great job guys!! NYC is blessed to have this national treasure.
Is the potato raw or boiled?
Ilsunny Lo most likely boiled
Ilsunny Lo well usually it's raw when making em
Latkes are fried in oil
Ilsunny Lo boiled
It's raw (I make latkes all the time)
Love this place. Best sandwich ever!!!
So from what I’ve gotten from the comments this place is an overrated and overpriced tourist trap that only became famous because they filmed that one famous scene from “when Harry met sally” there
I bet he’s never there 😂🤣
this place doesn't disappoint
Glad they're still open
so they havent changed anything in 100yrs.. then y is this dude so full of himself
He runs one of the most successful and iconic eatery's in New York City. The volume of cash that family brings in is enough to make anybody pretty full of themselves.
Point still being that this guy hasn't accomplished anything but being born in the right family.
He's not.
what is wrong with you
Why would I come to a place to be condescended to, not everyone works there to memorize the menu but also if the menu is splattered all over the place u don’t know wtf is going on. Maybe if they are nicer, they can make another 10 million. Yeah, he is full of himself.
Them Mid - Nite Cutter Are Boss😤
what if you order worth 70$ and just scam them by saying you lost your ticket?
I'm just a tourist but I've never eaten at Katz's and doubt I will given the comments. I have eaten at Harolds deli in Elizabeth NJ and it was fantastic.
Great food but...clean out your bank account if you plan on going there.
Expensive or youre gonna want to.order a lot?.
@@oscardeavila8993 24$ for a sandwich
Wish i knew you guys were gonna be ova there I live not far and I havent been to Katz's in a while though. Love their meats been going there since i was 10
the whole point of a neighborhood deli is to provide fresh foods at a reasonable cost - what's happened here is an abomination. $27 for a sandwich? are you out of your mind?
My dad always used stringed potatoes so that type of potato mashing is cool and unique to me
I grew up in New York City I grew up in Harlem every chance I got I went to cash I live in South Carolina now for 15 years and every chance I go back to New York I go to eat at Deli
Love this place especially when I was a local 8 roofer in Manhattan
*Katz* : Welcome to Katz Deli, I'm Katz. Will you please take your seat? *gives me angry look, snaps fingers, points at sign* No dogs allowed!
*Me* : Fine, I didn't wanna eat here anyway!😠 *leaves*
We need this deli in Vancouver.
Millennial schmuck for an owner. Note for Jake, you don't have to be too cool for school about it, just be humble and let the pastrami do the talking.
@Jessica Taylor I'm 41...I probably like 1 quarter of millennials I meet, but damn ya'll just a different breed. U ever met anyone who lived through the great depression??? The irony is that tough times can make u a better person
D Brown fuck baby boomers. Can’t wait til they’re all dead. Such a useless, worthless generation.
me, a generation z: *eats popcorn*
I love this place I have eaten here hundreds of times but when my family and I moved to Georgia I haven't been there in a while but I will be back there soon
Nothing better than some good old Jewish food
Madeline Lippy I agree but not when it's not kosher. This isn't kosher
Basketkase81 I guess your a nazi
kalinnn Smithh he was not very nice as we say in Germany Ich bin ein jude jáger
John Syzlack and what about Russian Jews? Spanish Jews? you tried lol
John Syzlack parasites that now have a nation more powerful than any of the ones you just listed? Other than China and Russia of course but Israel is a much younger country. Stop being an antisemetic fuck and see that all people are to be treated equally. You’re a damn right schmuck if you think otherwise.
Tasty has forgotten it's roots
The cutters are too busy talking and not doing bugger all...my cutter let me stand there while he talked with his mate and sharpened his knife.....
Reuben sandwich was tasty but its turning into a bucket list tick joint.
hahahahaha the opening tho....
and it's going into katz LOL
129 years really isn't that old.
It is in America.
For a deli it is
130 this year
We are back online after Hurricane Irma went right through our City. I have never had so much appreciation for being able to use RUclips and watching Tasty lol.
Healthy Recipe Channel glad you are okay!
Thank you, it was Surreal Experience. Thank God it lost a lot of power before hitting us. The eye of the Hurricane actually went through our city as a Category 2. Very powerful storm indeed.
No, we are in South West Florida. We were struck by the strongest Hurricane that ever came out of the Atlantic Ocean. Hurricane Irma.
Healthy Recipe Channel Mary
Healthy Recipe Channel - I'm so glad you're okay! I'm in North st Pete - Tampa Bay Area and evacuated, it was bumper to bumper traffic to get out and back. I got very lucky and my heart goes out to those in Naples, key west 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Honestly the food looks really delicious
And yes - they have the best corned beef, and best pastrami. And their pickles are great.
I've been there in 2010 when I visited NY... My friends told me we had to go there and this joint is a big deal... I didn't like that food one bit...
I so want to go there one day
Sushi for dinner?
Prashant Vashisth ok "mandeep" 😂
yas

Would love ig
ew, i want my meat cooked
In New York last month so a visit to Katz’s was on the cards. Great sandwich but! I can get as good in London’s East End from a number of Jewish deli’s for half the price, least I can say I’ve been to Katz’s Deli.
Eating at Katzs deli is now at the top of my bucket list. ...
I always go to Katz its like my FAVE
