Pico Aneto - Highest mountain in the Pyrenees

Alpine Climbing on the South Ridge of Pico Aneto in the Pyrenees.
Joining me is Tyler Klein, one of the #summitathlete members in 2022.
An absolutely magic day on the highest peak of the Pyrenees. Mixed summer/winter route which I believe to be Canal Llosás, although, as you can see we spent very little time on the couloir and most of the day on the rock.
Given the lovely weather and the south facing aspect we chose to stay out of the couloir to avoid warm snow and potential loose rock.
Not a single bolt, or rap point. Not even a scrap of tat on the route, so once you start going up, you probably don’t want to change your mind 🤣
Grade is probably UIAA II-III.
Bit of choss here and there but for the most part it’s a splendid day out.

Look and sounds intense! Good on ya! Me, I'm sticking to hiking with my 60 yo body. So I will watch (again) the vid on 'injury proofing hiking' as I get ready for spring-time hikes in the UK.
