Great cow fart. Great video. Reading Wim Hof's becoming the iceman. It mentions climbing El Huso (The Spindle) in the Spanish Pyrenees. The search for that brought me here.
I climbed the mountain your climbing and I'm 12 years old and I went with my parents i nearly made it to the top but my parents said it was to dangerous
Great video Dan! I'm thinking of doing this soon. How long did it take you to get from La Renclusa to the summit? Did you have to leave the hut ridiculously early?
Can't remember exactly. The Renclusa was full so we started at La Besurta. About 5-6 hours I think. It will depend on how fast you move and how busy it is at el paso de Mahoma. We were really lucky and were the only ones on the top which is fairly unheard of. There was one other couple just behind us but we did arrive later than recommended. Ideally you want to leave fairly early - especially in the summer, as storms are fairly common in the afternoons.
Fantastic video - really enjoyed it, thanks for sharing! Hopefully I will get to climb this peak next summer. Video quality superb - what camera used may I please ask?
Hi Paul. Thanks for the comment. Glad you enjoyed it. It was a great day. I used my gopro 4 silver. The quality was actually much better before I uploaded it to youtube. Enjoy the climb. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks Dan, looking to go next July! What is the name of the route you took? I'm looking to stay overnight in renclusa hut and go from there. If it's the same route is it well walked and easy to navigate? What was temps at the top parts? :) Thanks

Good video. What time of year did you do this climb? Is this from the French or Spanish side?
Thanks! Climbed in July from the Spanish side. Did it in one day.
Hello, i am a 13 year old boy has climbed this Mountain. Would you (as an experienced climber) call this an accomplishment?
do you need crampons?
We didn't use them but I'd def recommend taking them. When do you plan to go?

Yes better to take them to cross the glaciar.
