I've made ice cream with the chocolate, vanilla, root beer, and natural strawberry flavors. Added with 2 oz heavy whipping cream, 8 or 9 oz almond milk, extra sugar substitute, and various extracts. Vitamix with 2 cups ice. Comes out texture of a Frosty.
Yes! They are great for that! We've got Greg's daughter hooked on it too. She works in the food industry and loves that she can drink a Keto Chow, then work all day around food and not feel tempted in any way, or need to worry about eating. Greg just made some (chocolate) for us for lunch tomorrow and I had him add the Lakanto Peanut Butter powder to mine. We'll see how that goes. We ordered a large bag of the Cookies & Cream (should be here by the end of the week), and I just ordered a bunch of sample flavors. 😋
@@KzooKeto Thank you, Yeah I was just looking at the sample packs, I thought I might try some of those. Have you tried the banana one? I usually take a protein shake for my lunch, but I think a meal replacement might be better.
The banana is one of the sample packs I ordered. We’ll definitely let you know what we think of the other flavors. How’s your husband doing? Better and better, we hope!
@@KzooKeto He is doing so much better, thank you. He hasn't had to use his walker all week. He made the bed for me yesterday ( it wasn't perfect, but I left it. I was just so happy that he tried). He is still losing weight, I'm still finding it.
@@KzooKeto Thank you. I am seriously thinking of getting a few of the samples. I don't think I will get the bundle, most of those flavors don't appeal to me.
Interesting, glad I got to see the various flavours. They are expensive here in Canada. They are about 5.25 to $7 a serving I haven't convinced myself to spend that kind of money.
I think that’s what it cost me through Amazon the first time. But with Prime, I had free shipping. So it evened out. Can’t seem to find the single serve on there anymore.
I would avoid oils. Tests shown that “olive oil” bottles were filled with mostly if not all vegetable oil. Idk if they tested avocado oil, but I wouldn’t risk it. Butter and heavy cream is a safer bet IMO
We only use avocado oil, and I have tried that in the past with Keto Chow. Some like it, but I personally do not....it leaves an oily texture that is not agreeable to me.
The first time I made Keto Chow with cream I didn't like it at all. It had a slimy texture to me. I made it after that with hot water and butter, blended it and let it sit over night, it was 100% better. Now we just turn them into ice cream using our Ninja blender.
I noticed the slimier texture when I used the avocado oil. We did just recently do the melted butter and that was amazing! Going to have to do that from now on! Haven't tried it as ice cream yet, that's still on the to do list.
I hadn't heard anything about that, probably because we're practically on the opposite side of the US from California. So I googled it real quick and found something the Keto Chow posted about it. www.ketochow.xyz/2019/06/keto-chow-and-heavy-metal-exposure-proposition-65-warning-or-lack-thereof/ I'm not super worried about it, from what I read, it's pretty normal to have those types of things in plant based consumables (and those flavors with the cocoa powder have more risk of exposure), so coffee shops in Cali have to post the warnings as well. I say do what you're comfortable with. We enjoy Keto Chow on a somewhat irregular basis because, while we love it, we also like the satisfaction we get from chewing our food. And, it's not super cheap either, so we don't want to go through it too fast. Even though, when you calculate out the number of meals you get out of the bulk bag, it is decently priced per meal. It's the big number you pay all at once that hurts. LOL
You both are like a comedy show LOL. On my chocolate PB one I got from another site it says shake sideways for a few min.'s give or take so the powder blends in. I checked with the video on my package lol. Stay safe & take care of you both. Thanks for sharing eh :))
Hahahaha, thank you! We think we're funny, but we're not always sure we come across as funny. Since this video, we've taken to blending our Keto Chow with the blender - it's soooo much easier!
I know what you mean about the vanilla now, it's not pleasant. not even with added flavor, that nasty cardboard taste comes through. I got 2 Tomato basil to try 1 for me and one for hubby, I choked down half of 1 but it ended up down the sink and hubby refused to drink it after first sip. I also tried the natural strawberry (eeww) not sure if it was because I tried it with avocado oil or it was just nasty, the regular strawberry was good. But I think so far my fave is the choc toffee.
Yeah, I don't know what it is about that vanilla....seems to come through in the Cookies & Cream (I remembered it tasting better the first time I had it) and the Raspberry Cheesecake making those taste not as awesome as they should. We just got some of the samples of the Lemon Meringue, so we'll see how those go, trying them tomorrow with fingers crossed. I'm thinking anything with the chocolate as a base is the way to go. I had tried the chicken soup one as the first one I'd ever tried and I just couldn't do it. Like you with the tomato basil....about half and the rest was dumped. Maybe those types would be better if they were used as an actual base for soup? I'd try it again that way. Good to know about the natural strawberry, I wondered if there was a difference between that and the other strawberry. Have not tried the chocolate toffee, no one here is big on toffee so it didn't really register on our radar.
@@KzooKeto The choc toffee is real good, doesn't taste like heath bar. My hubby doesn't like toffee or caramel, but he did like the choc toffee. Oh girl The lemon meringue, its good, we had it today for lunch. Went back to keto chow site and ordered another 10 of them. I tried to Dr the tom basil but I couldn't make it taste good. Cant taste the tomato, but the basil was strong. I used to make tomato soup with basil in it but damn this stuff is **** lets just say yuk
Lol, yay! Makes me look forward to the lemon meringue tomorrow! I’m sad they’re not offering it in a big bag. Next time I order, I’ll have to get some samples of the chocolate toffee. Thanks for the suggestion! Will likely steer clear of the tomato basil, and the taco soup base. The taco one is easy enough for us to make on its own.
@@KzooKeto Right, I wanted to try the non sweet ones, but after watching a few reviews and trying the tom basil, I'm not going to bother. I went a little mental on the samples. My hubby loves the choc mint and the choc PB. Not my kind of flavors so I didn't try. the egg nog is nice too. I got it for him but had a little taste.
I’ll have to try the egg nog, tho I’ve never liked egg nog, but it can’t hurt to try it. Had the lemon meringue - REALLY good! Sounds like when it comes to the big bags, we’re sticking with chocolate. All three of us really like that one. And I can toss in some Lakanto peanut butter powder to make my own chocolate pb. Lol 😝
I'm not a fan of vanilla either! Chocolate peanut butter is the best. Root beer is another good one. It's good if you two like the same flavors so you don't have to spend $70 a bag for a bunch of different flavors. I use heavy cream and water, then I put it in a blender with ice. Oh, and the chocolate mint one tastes like McDonald's peppermint hot chocolate when heated.
I do want to try the chocolate pb! Greg would probably like the root beer, I’ve never been much of a fan. I’d still spend $70 each on a bunch of different bags if I could, just for the variety. 😉
I've tried a mix of heavy whipping cream and avocado oil and I couldn't get it down.🤮 snickerdoodle is bomb. Salted caramel is good, cookies and cream taste like vanilla Strawberry is bland taste like vanilla, chocolate is good, mocha is good. Best over night
Ugh, I’m so glad that’s not a mistake that I made. Lol, thanks for taking one for the team! I know not to EVER try that. I haven’t tried any same day, but Greg has. I want to try the chocolate peanut butter. 😋
@@KzooKeto Haha. No problem. Stick to heavy whipping cream and if to thick, add extra water. I want to try chocolate peanut butter also. I know that one has a different fat ratio or something. It's not the same as the others. Unless they changed it since I read about that flavor.
@@KzooKeto I have found if I add a bit of vanilla or vanilla bean to snickerdoodle it’s actually got a mild cinnamon and tastes more like a good vanilla

Take the vanilla keto chow and add coconut extract to it and oh my!!!! It’s amazing!
I’m not a huge coconut flavor fan, but I’d definitely give it a try! Thank you!
I had vanilla ice cream tonight I added heavy cream pretty good. It’s better if you mix it up and refrigerate over night. Butter is really good.
Will def have to try with butter, haven’t done that yet. Would also like to try making ice cream with it.
Kzoo Keto , yes ice cream pretty good. I’ve only have one more flavor to try , salted Carmel. Not sure how I’ll fix it.
You two had way too much fun making those! Now I need to try Keto Chow!
It’s the best, I love this stuff. If I could, I’d have a big bag of almost every flavor. 🙃
Thank you. Does it keep you satisfied for a good period of time?

throw the prepared shake into your ice cream maker. I heard it works well. I don't like sucralose though so I wish they made it with stevia
