I THINK he's talking about the stats when he says that. That's the only thing that makes sense.
He is seeing something we cannot see.
He probably means that in a broad sense, as in whether or not their animals have a particular impact in-round. Some use pure stats and rely on shop session buffs, some has anti-stats like scorpions, some use ranged units like blowfishes, snakes, and leopard to damage backlines.
First someone make a compilation of every time he says it's "too late" for an animal the first time it's even possible to buy
NL is so influential in SAP that every time i play a match i get at least one opponent with the name "JUICE ME FREEZE ME SQUEEZE ME PILL ME YOU PIECE" or a variation of those

The doubters never thought this was the beginning of something huge. The believers have watched the evolution of Egglord as he squeezed, freezed, juiced and slept through white weenie meta, bat meta, enlightened the world to crab meta, and subsequently fell into the clutches of scorpion anti-crab technology. truly pogged and blessed to witness the journey.
He needs to try the Skunk. That damn animal has saved my ass so many times. Level 3 Skunk takes away 99% of someone's health. haha That turns a 50/50 into a 50/1.

Can't get enough of the pogs in this game honestly, I might even go as far as to say it's too satisfying. NL has no business being this entertaining and consistently at that, on RUclips.

The trick with food builds is to invest more into the ladybug than the beatle, then buy the first worm you see. The worm helps massively with the push to 10 wins. You can have a 30/30 whilst your opponents biggest minions are still in the teens
Whilst your building the worm, the ladybug will be a nice secondary unit that is basically eating cupcakes every round
Agreed although there are obviously cases where you might want to feed green ladybug instead if there's something in the shop that you actually want
After watching these episodes for a week straight I have FINALLY caught up on the backlog, kudos to NL for bringing so much attention to a hidden gem :D

I appreciate the ol Peacock as the invested unit. Used to run it in the early days since having 5hp was goated but Swan only having one less being a 3/4 with more long term upside would be best if you ever had to invest into a tier 2 animal.

the other day i had the sickest ladybug game. turn 4 i had a lvl 3 ladybug and 2 caterpillars. picked up a worm and a rabbit and went all the way to the win. nice to see you experimenting with some new combos

I played this dang game for hours yesterday and I really felt like the shop was like, pranking me. It was giving me tier 1 and 2 every round, I couldn't find garlic to save my life. I had the worst RNG in shop I think I've ever seen.
NL sleeping on Tabby cat, I'm telling ya. That attack buff to all units early can do some work. Not to mention the thing is 4/3 which is pretty pog early
Definitely, he's gone completely blind to it even though it's a better unit for a food build than a lot of early game units

You did actually lose to a horse, the otter buffed the horse which didn't even have to attack while the horse buffed the fish and the otter that cleared your team. The otter could have been a duck and you would still have lost.

my current understanding of NL in super auto pets is he understands vanilla scaler builds really well but summoner and other more non traditional builds not as much so and then not a great understanding of DLC pack in general this is from somebody who can't really play because all I have is a really weak Chromebook and ios devices
the other main non traditional build I would assume would be in match damage ability based stuff which seems to work best as a pretty strong early mid game build but falls off fast

I really love this game, but I really can't play it anymore. Too many times where I desync and lose all my frozen pets and the shop just rerolls. I hope they make fixes to servers

I bought the pay to win pack yesterday, and realized that because of the bigger pool, it is much harder to get a lvl 2 at round 3, making the early game much weaker.
But the mid game scaling is insane.
to this day i don't understand what the rat does
9 times out of 10 it just hangs out back there and gives your opponent the win by surviving. But I have seen it attack every turn and wipe out a whole team's melon armor. I think it's bugged or I just don't understand it either.
I wish he wouldn't undervalue a level 2 hatching chick so hard.

If you want to do better in SAP, avoid relying on horse and dog. I feel those are new player traps. Maybe an early level 2 horse with sheep but otherwise, just go for beavers and otters.

I think he did just fine relying on the dog.
Dog can do great if you get it early enough and let it gain stats in the shop
Dog is bad on f2p but amazing on p2w because of the Poodle scaling. F2p unless you get Dog to level 2 by turn 5, you’ll end up selling after a massive commitment to get his stats only to a respectable place in f2p.
Horse is really good for first round win. But you gotta think hard about ever investing in it after round 3. I run into crazy strong dogs all the time, but I never go for it.

Rat would be SO much better if it gave the win to the team WITH rat. Like there’s no real upside to spawning a 1/1 dirty rat that does 1 damage to 1 enemy 1 time and you lose if it’s still alive at the end. Truly God Awful tier.
Big agree. There could even be a little animation where the Dirty Rat comes back over to your side to give you the win.
