SAP pogging NL to over 1M subs incoming???? The dream is real, the juice is squeezed, I believe. It's the raw liver anticipation from all those years ago all over again.
@Karon Nuva So it's kinda like a meta deck builder where you build a deck the draws from which are used to make your team? Interesting idea, but probably not for SAP, it already has trouble getting people to use it's full cast of animals
The hedgehog play from 2:40 - 3:20 is one of my favorite moments from the SAP series so far. The timing is perfect, NL likening himself to Morpheus of SAP a half second before the huge brain play is dunked by a lone mosquito and NL let's out a GUH.
Went up against a player called "Him, Me? Him, Him, Me?" The other day. Also I have begun to see and acquire Free to play 10 wins with a degree of frequency
The NL cycle of meta: NL finds something that works -> NL finds something interesting that creates a new meta -> the community finds a strat to counter the meta -> NL keeps playing the same strat and is confused why it doesn't work anymore -> repeat.
Llama, in my experience, works best with the buy/sell build, because until you get scorpions, the fifth slot in the buy/sell build is kinda meh. So it goes great with dog/Buffalo/goat/dragon, that sort of build But ultimately it's best as a secondary carry imo as you put money in other units
@@levwhitelaw5561 yeah he is. I guess because he shows up so late people feel they cannot afford to use a low stat non scale unit. But he is worth it especially for dragon as it buffs him
@@GodChaos333 i think people fail to see that goat actually is a scaling unit... it gives you 3 gold per turn, that unarguably is a per turn value gain that translates to stats! if you think about it as a pear per turn (which is like, the bare minimum) its +2/+2 a turn, so at the absolute worst it still scales better than a bison, because the +2/+2 can be applied to any unit
Here's a math fact: a unit whose stats are [a][b] will ALWAYS beat or evenly trade with a [c][d] unit when a*b > c*d (when ignoring unit abilities). An explanation is below, for those interested. Before I explain why this is true, I want to note that this is one reason why it makes sense to call a*b the "stat-value" of your [a][b] unit; for example, a level 1 beaver is a [2][2] and has a stat-value of 4. Moreover, if an [a][b] unit beats or evenly trades with all units whose stat-value is some number N, then a*b (the stat-value of the [a][b] unit) is at least N. In other words, a unit of stat-value N cannot beat every unit of stat-value N+1 or greater -- this is evidenced by the fact that an [a][b] unit will be beaten by a [1][a*b+1] unit. *Therefore, you can determine how "good" a unit's stats are simply by looking at its stat-value.* EXPLANATION: Let's say we pit an [a][b] unit against a [c][d] unit. We want to see who wins. In the first round, the [c][d] unit takes (a) as damage and becomes a [c][d-a] unit; likewise, the [a][b] unit took (c) damage and becomes an [a][b-c] unit. This process repeats until we reach a round K where either (b-c*K) < 0 (in which case the [a][b] unit dies) or (d-a*K) < 0 (in which case the [c][d] unit dies). Solving for K, this is the same as saying K > b/c ([a][b] unit dies) or K > d/a ([a][b] unit dies). If the [a][b] unit evenly traded with or beat the [c][d] unit, then we have to have b/c >= d/a. Hence, a*b > c*d. Now that we have this concept of "stat-value", we can ask whether a (+1)(+1) buff on an [a][b] unit is better than a (+2)(0) buff or a (0)(+2) buff. In fact, it is always the most efficient to take the buff that makes your unit closest to a [k][k] for some k. Indeed, we check the increase in stat-value for each kind of buff. For (+2)(0): (a+2)*(b) = a*b + 2*b, which is a stat-value increase of 2*b. Note: this buff doesn't offer much value when b is small. This makes sense because adding attack to fragile unit doesn't make it any more survivable -- the unit is probably going to deal its damage once and then immediately die. For (0)(+2): (a)*(b+2) = a*b + 2*a, which is a stat-value increase of 2*a. Likewise, this buff is insignificant when a is small. This also makes sense, because adding defense to a unit with little attack isn't going to make it any deadlier -- it may be tough, but it will probably die before it does any real damage. For (+1)(+1): (a+1)*(b+1) = a*b+a+b+1, which is a stat-value increase of a+b+1. Now let's suppose that we have a [a][b] unit with a
NL is onethousand percent sleeping on the bee in the back in the early game. Literally he had rounds in the second where he would have won if only he had the bee in the back. It wins so many games early for an excess 3 gold, and in food builds it's just genuinely great. It works really well when you can get a strong unit in the back, because strong units often tie via overkills. Oh, and for early game positioning, ant in position 4 is really good, because that's the one slot where you have control over who gets the buff.
Kinda late so idk if NL has already seen this tip, but I'll leave it here just in case he hasn't or it helps someone else: having two puppies scaling at the same time is better than combining the two together when you have no prospect of getting a third. At the end of the first run, you said it would've been good to have a unity as good as your puppy, and a second puppy would've been exactly that. Having just one at lvl1 and a half isn't very good and when you have two, you scale +4/+4 on two different units by saving the same amount of money as a lvl 1 puppy.
Today I had: Rhino, Tiger, Hippo, Tiger, Monkey. All lvl 2 except tigers, all with equipment and I still lost at 9. What did eggboi do to the SAP meta while I wasn’t looking?

Like yes you will win draw games but then u will replace that unit or equipment late game. It only works for mid game and he doesn't play for mid game I've notice he's a heavy greeder for late game similarly he doesn't run blowfish, or elephant for the same reasons . He'd rather have a dog, bat, puppy or economy plays for late game.

He skipped sheep on turn 3.
