I didn't expect her to speak so positively in the ingredient breakdown as she did. At the beginning it seemed like she was going to tear this product apart. I own this serum and I absolutely love it. It is SUPER hydrating.
Same, I have heard so many people bash on it. But I have been using this serum for years and love it. When I have not used it I notice a decline in glow and suppleness it adds to my skin. It also fixed a couple of scars I had from picking my skin during my teen years.
@@jde9711 Since this is a hydrating serum. It can help with the appearance of wrinkles. Smoothing them out. Retinol is the key ingredient to diminish wrinkles pairing it with vitamin c to prevent future wrinkles. And of course sunscreen!

This is one of my favorite reviews because it wasn’t a full bash on a very pricey product. Some people like to treat themselves occasionally and it’s nice to know that there are good things about expensive products, it may not be necessary but it doesn’t make it horrible just for its price point
agreed. im pretty cheap on most things but i splurge with this serum
@@srslee5966same as me. I use Nivea or body SPF on my face, but I buy this because it works
This serum is so worth it, instantly enhances your complexion and makes you look youthful after each use. I have used it for 5 years. I would invest in this rather than looking for any dupes.
Exactly. It’s an investment. The older you get you realize that cutting corners isn’t really worth it.
Every girl I know use this. This is a must have in my friend circle

it works on my oily skin too! love this anr serum
@@oliviachimdalunwosu6267 yes ma’am! I would’ve tried duped when I was younger, but now I’m over 40 😅
A 1 oz bottle of this serum is $75. Really not bad at all, seeing as you only use a few drops per use. It usually lasts about 3-4 months for me. Great product!
My 82 year old Mother in law has used this for over 30 years and honestly she doesn’t look a day over 50 years old!! Your review was amazing and so HELPFUL!! It is worth it if you can afford it!!
I agree!! If you can afford it, it’s worth it!!!
I’ve been using since I was 25 I’m now 30 and I’ve had people mention I look as young as my 19-20 yr old employees 🙌🏼 I love it.
I love it! last forever, 5 drops is all I need per use. it's a great product.

I've used Retin-A for over 30 years and I love it. Adding Estee Lauder serums a few years ago, took my 59 year old skin to a whole other level. Their serums are amazing but unfortunately not in my budget right now.

@@ailemak59 I recently started using the Obagi Tretinoin cream witch is amazing and my dermatologist said do not wear them both at the same time because it's too much for your skin. She advised to cycle them one night Estee lauder and one night retinol. I have used this product for years. I have rosacea, and I have found it works better than ANYTHING else. The price is exorbitant, but clear skin is priceless to me.
I don't know why, but my skin loved this serum. I've been using it for two months and throughout that period my skin looked so glowy and healthy. Then I stopped using it and I bought cheaper alternative and my skin literally worsened over night.
Sure it did
same! i received a 7 day sample and it improved my skin in like 2 days. ive been purchasing full size bottles ever since.
Use what works for you.
There is a dupe with exact same ingredients for $29 recommended by another you ER.
Me too! It was so nice but I have sebboreic dermatitis and finding moisturizing products that nice for my super dry areas and not clog my oily areas is so hard but this did wonders. I try to make it go a long way because of the price. If I am able to find something that works as well I will use it, it would probably have to be a combo of products, but a lot of products are so finnicky for me, with oil, dry skin, and acne that all have to be targeted at once without worsening each other.
I started using this product in my early 20’s. I’m now 55. I’ve used it and stopped and came back to it many times over the years. I LOVE how it makes your skin feel. It’s so silky and soft. I have quite a bit on hand right now as you many times get a free sample depending on how much you spend.
Yeah my grandma would use this also and she looks really young .
Wow you look 40, not 55

This serum is expensive (it's a luxury brand after all) but it's amazing. I haven't found any other product to make my skin as plumped and smooth
Yes I agree and it lasts for a while. Has been a game changer for me along with global anti age cream
My skin looks and feel much lighter and smoother. Also foundation looks amazing, glowing! I’ve been using it for years and I’m 52 and still virtually no wrinkles.
I love it too, been using it for years.

Have you tried the Clinique Moisture Surge or the Neutrogena Hydro Boost? I use either one, day and night, and my skin is amazing even in cold winter months. HA is a magic potion for me, too bad it's molecules are too large to penetrate into the dermis.
1OOsmiles i have heard about this too. Have u used it
You helped me break free from this (lovely but expensive) brand when I discovered your videos well over a year ago. My favorite skin care brands are now Cerave and Neutrogena . Me and my wallet thank you so much! 💟
Thank you for the fair review. I used Advanced Night Repair for years because there wasn’t a lot of skincare information readily available before the internet and platforms like You Tube and Instagram. It seemed to help my skin. Now at almost 73, I am currently using Retin A and other skincare actives as well as the Night Repair. I’ve been fortunate to maintain excellent skin and enjoy your informative videos to hopefully keep my skin in good shape as I age . My best advice to those younger would be” stay out of the sun and use sunscreen!”
Thanks again!

The lipsticks and lip liners were my favorite. You are right just because it’s expensive does not mean it works better than the drug store brands .

Dr. Dray, I think your explanation was perfect. For years, before these ingredients were put out in other serums, Night Repair was the most marketed product. You have explained that the claims are true but now these vital ingredients can be found that are less costly.
Yeah but what is in that serum? I've tried other serums and creams with hyaluronic acid but they didn't feel as smooth as night repair or give the same results.
What ones work as well as EL?please tell us.

I've been using this since I turned 55. I'm 70 now. It's been great.
I've been using this product for years, it's my holy grail. My skin loves it. I look dull if I don't use it
I hope this works for me :/
Same here I have been using it for years and can't do without it..
When I first bought this, I put it on half my face at night. The difference was AMAZING! I LOVE IT! After a few bottles, I tried a few competitors' serums. None were as good. I tried skipping serum. I looked awful. I tried less expensive products. Was not impressed. I get so many complements on my complexion when I use it. I see and feel the difference. It has the WOW factor. It's a sacrifice financially but I think it's worth it.
Exactly my experience. It was a revelation for my skin.
I agree. And it last for about 3 months. Less is more with this product.
Agree. It is a great product.
Same for me 👍
Same! I have yet to find a serum that’s that good.
I love this product! There’s nothing that can compare to it, every time I change into something else just to try, I end up back with Estée Lauder products!
Same here 🤗❤️..used it years and can't go back
So many to choose from. But I just tried the holiday pack and I'm really liking it!!! We will see in a month.
I am the same I love this stuff. I get compliments all the time on my skin. I swear it’s my Estée Lauder
Can you please talk about what overnight shift workers can do for their skin routine? Since our Circadian rhythm is different than the norm. What should we focus on? Please and thank you
Yes! Especially since this will likely be a "new normal" for many of us in the States, that are taking any position we can get!
I would also be interested in that video
I would like that too. I work night shifts in the hospital and loooooove the laniege creme skin in spray form, to help with dryness.
Use before you go to bed.
That's a good point! I would like to see some recs on this too
Thank you so much for reviewing this product. I used to work for an Estee Lauder counter when I was in my 20’s. Since I had to test their products in order to sell them I found myself totally loving the night repair even though I didn’t need it at the time. Its a very addictive & amazing product because the skin just drinks it in & you wake up beautiful. Now I’m 54 and now I’m at the age that would actually really benefit from it, but I still balk at buying it due to its exorbitant pricing, so I really appreciate you mentioning other products that work just as well. Plus I’m following many of your other recommendations & my skin is looking & feeling amazing! You’ve shed light on so many great drug store products I find myself purchasing a lot of your rec’s. Oh and your skin always looks amazing. Thank you so much!
I burned my forehead on two separate occasions with a curling iron, and applied Advanced Night Repair consistently to the surface burn. My brown skin healed without a dark (hyperpigmented) mark. My skin never heals from surface wounds without leaving a dark mark. My burn marks usually stay for years. I had, have, no marks on my forehead from those burns. I am still amazed. I am even more amazed by another experience. I spent a hot sunny day in Cairo sightseeing - no hat, no umbrella, no sunscreen. The only thing I had was Advanced Night Repair and in despair I applied it before heading out into the sun. I spent several hours in the blistering sun, fully exposed. I applied Advanced Repair again at the end of the day. I awake expecting to see my skin reddened...it wasn't. I expected to see my brown skin change to a much deeper shade...did not happen. I was blown away...still am. Those were MY experiences with Advanced Night Repair.
I have been using this product for 7 years & I really love it. I only use it at night though, so it lasts a decent amount of time. It's so refreshing to hear you say such good things about it when most skin enthusiasts don't have anything good to say. If you can afford it, it's really not a waste of money. I know I will continue to use it.
Hi, would this product go before or after my hyaluronic acid and moisturizer? I'm thinking HA -> Serum -> Moisturizer...I would apply all of them on damp skin, not sue if that's recommended for serums...
@@melissa7645 after your HA & before moisturiser.
I've been using this product for years! Ever since i swiped a sample from my moms stash in my teens, and noticed it stopped my breakouts. Now I'm in my mid 20s and have super dry skin. I've tried all types of serums but i always come back to this because i notice a significant change in my skin texture when i stop using it. It makes my skin super soft and hydrated, smooths out my texture issues, and gives me a luminous, even complexion. It also has an instant soothing effect when i use it after a scrub or peel. Just a great combo of ingredients for me i guess.
Same, but always purchase duty-free if I can! They have 100 ml/3.4 oz bottles for around $175-190? (Depends on the currency I think). But recently they have a 3.9 oz bottle available online!

I used to use this a decade ago and LOVED it for hydration. Since then I think skincare has come a long way so I can get the same results for much cheaper.

I'm 52 and this is one of the products I have been using consistently for about twenty years now. It's part of my skin care regimen, so I can't say this is the key, the holy grail, the one thing, but I like it, it does not irritate my skin, and I have very few noticeable wrinkles (well, I do when I smile, but that's normal at any age). I’ve used it off and on for 20 years now. It is very pricey. But, my skin can be very sensitive. And, often, this seems to be the only moisturizer (or any product at all) I can use without irritation or flare-ups. I greatly appreciate Dr. Dray’s review and explanation of all ingredients. And, I do trust that there is most likely a drugstore product out there with just the right combo of these same ingredients that wouldn’t cause my skin to itch, burn, and/or break out. But, I’m honestly tired of looking for it (and recovering from the many failed attempts).
I bought this in February on sale and only have just run out. I absolutely love this stuff!
I've been using this product on and off for about 20 years. I absolutely LOVE it. I'm just finishing my 75ml bottle of it.
That being said, I'm new to this channel and have already purchased a Cerave moisturizer which I definitely would not have bought prior to Dr. Dray. But yeah, Advanced Night Repair is excellent and my all time favourite serum. I use it in the morning as well.

You have no idea how long ive been waiting for this review THANK YOU
Dr Dray, it's so heartening to see you making your videos especially at this point when most businesses are either shuttering their doors or on hold till re-opening. On a side note, Missha has made its dupes of this product in the Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule (purple and yellow bottle) and the later version of Time Revolution Probiotic Night Repair Ampoule (deep purple). These two dupes have the same ingredient of biofida ferment lysate. The prices of these are also way cheaper than Estée Lauder at 25-35 USD at the most (sometimes even less if the stores have 20-50 percent discounts in South Korea!)......
Thanks for the info!
I've tried it about 5 yrs ago in a tiny sample. I loved it,I used as little as possible to keep it ,it was instantly absorbed ,like my skin desperately needed it. I've never seen any product absorb so quickly in my life.
You’re looking so fantastic lately ❤️
I used this for a couple of years but I got so frustrated with my skincare a year ago and started doing more research and quit using all EL skincare products because honestly, I never saw any improvements and wasting my money on these expensive products that just didn’t work.
I LOVE this product. I'm currently on my fourth bottle. You are accurate about the fact that the results only last for as long as you use the product.
Can I use Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair with retinol? Which I use first?
Your reviews are intelligent, measured, and credible.RESPECT 🙌
I’ve used this off and on for years and have never really seen a difference. However, I recently used a trial size of their intense reset serum and it’s amazing. I use it in the morning and my skin is so smooth.
It did good for me. You have to use it correctly. Firstly you have to exfoliate. You probably put too much makeup and a heavy buildup of u gunk which you think you washed off properly but more than likely not. Do facial 2 times a month in addition to that do home exfoliation and only then will these essense provide light and day difference. I personally don’t put makeup so it works extremely well for me. What I said is what my friend told me of her scenario hope that it might help you out
Dr.Dray, since I have been following you (about 4 weeks), I have taken your advice completely in my skin care routine. The results are amazing so far. Two brands that I would not have tried without your recommendation are Hado Labo and La Roche Posay. Both have been life changing for me! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! ♥️. The video today was well done and fair which is the main thing I'm looking for in an influencer! Keep doing your thing!
What series of hadalabo that you use?
I received this as a free sample once and for some reason, this just felt amazing on my skin. But I certainly wasn’t going to spend $100. Turns out there’s a dupe by Missha called the Time Revolution Night Repair Probio Ampoule, and it’s only $30 for 1.6oz. Slightly thicker in consistency but equally as good!👍🏼
I'm the same, my skin really likes it, but I hate the price. The Missha one didn't work for me as well as the EL though, but it's a good one too.
@@bibibratx Yeah the missha ones broke me out 😭 i will try it again next week.
Even cheaper than that is klairs supple preparation toner....
yes! i have that dupe and its great!!!
I wear Double Wear foundation so sometimes receive this as a gift with purchase. I really like it too and it makes my skin look good. However the price is too high for me.
I'm now 65 and I used this when I was in my forties. I honestly can't say that it made a big difference in my skin and I've never been tempted to repurchase. There are so many high quality, low cost skincare brands today so I can't see spending more than $40 for anything.
It’s because u started too late. At 40. Prevention is better. The loss in plumpness and damages from 0-40 is more than enough to not seem good. These is more for early symptoms and preventing further damage
Yes it’s pricey but it actually works for me. I always get mine in the sales around the end of the year. I’ve gone through phases of skipping this product due to the price but it really helps with my skin barrier, helps with redness, dark circles and flakiness and makes my skin so smooth and soft. I don’t like the price but I like the results.
I've loved this product for years and have beautiful skin. I think I buy about 4 bottles a year. I'm 66 and seriously can't image going to sleep without it. It soaks right in and doesn't have an annoying scent. I get a lot of samples of the product too which helps with the cost. Thanks for the review, I love your videos. Irene Singleton
My mom swears by it too. She’s 78 and her skin is gorgeous!
When Dr. Dray is 80 yrs old she's going to look like she's in her twenties!. Love her skin!
I feel like I just got a hell of a lot smarter about skincare by listening to you! Thank you for explaining the science to us!
I used this and loved it. I was only 17 years old when I used it so cannot really speak about its effectiveness but I enjoyed every time I applied it and felt the joy it brought me was worth every cent.
This is the best serum you can apply on your skin I believe ❤!
u uploaded this at the perfect time cause i was just thinking about buying this
if you buy it, let me know how it works out for you
Just bought the biggest bottle available ☹️. I can only pray it works for me
Same!
Dr Dray mades a big difference for me. I have used it multiple times over the past decade. Let me tell you, within 5 days my skin was soft, clear, texture free, glowing and so much more.
You reminded me about this....will repurchase next month.
Great product!!
I do love this product and have done for 20 yrs or more. I treat myself to a bottle in the winter months of the year as that’s when my skin is much dryer and more uncomfortable. I can’t justify using it all year round! Thanks for your wonderful videos Dr Dray - you legend! 💜
I am a post chemo 62 years old person. I used to have oily skin and I have been left with an extremely dehydrated skin, "shrunken skin" (if this makes sense). I use CERAVE moisturiser, or Hada Labo HL Lotion, all the french moisturisers you can name : AVENE, La Roche Posay, Bioderma, you name it. During the lock down, there was an offer on the french EL website, I decided to take a plunge... Believe it or not, there is something in this serum. 3 drops before going to bed + whatever treatment I use, and in the morning : voila ! Same in the morning before any make up . I was skeptical, but I must admit it does something.
What is name of serum plz
Thx Dr. Dray. It took me few years to understand that it's not about expensive products labeling with amazing ingredients. if you have oily skin as a teen, use AHA, if you have dry skin use cream, if you wanna prevent aging, use sunscreen, if you wanna reduce wrinkles, use retinol. and so on ... when you correct those basic skincare steps & products, your skin gonna get so much better from 60 to 90, honestly.
Bottom line: “You don’t have to spend $103 to get there, guys....”. End of story. Yes, I used this product for years, but I’m happy with my Hada Labo, CeraVe, and others that won’t break the bank.
Hada Labo lotions are so good on my skin and doesn’t cause breakouts .
What are the Others you use.
I’ve tried hadalabo and I’ve tried ANS, there’s a reason why ANS is $103. That said I do love Hadalabo
Olivia Chimdalu Nwosu Do you mean ANR? Advanced Night Repair. Yes, I really did use it for years. It’s definitely nice, but I feel that the other products do the same thing for my skin, so I’ve switched.
@@kosmosbjm It's one of those products that once you start using it and see the great effects you just keep on rebuying. I love the stuff - just feels great, sinks in quickly and a bottle lasts so long using it once per day. I do like The Ordinary Buffet also.
I almost finished my 75ml bottle. It's very hydrating and comfortable to use on my combination skin. I'm in my early 30s and this bottle is my go-to when I don't know what to use. I could feel it help build my skin barrier very well. btw In France you can get this much cheaper so the price isn't too crazy comparing to some other ones out there.
👍
I agree this stuff really helps when my skin is dehydrated and it layers so well with other products !
Thanks you saved my day.. Just bought 75ml bottle for somewhere about $132 😢
I live in france too but the price is still very high, where did u find it cheap ? txs
@@TrucTresDrole estee lauder vente privee, you pay about 90euro for 75ml, or at the taxfree airport for 50ml. Sometimes the price at lookfantastic french site you get 30% off too. There are many ways
Omg I've never clicked on a video of yours so quick! SO happy you've done a review on this because I've been on the fence about it..and there aren't many reviews on YT (or credible ones to be fair)! ❤
been using this for 3 years and my skin really loves this
Hi Andrea. You look radiant and lovely! I used this on and off for years. My skin enjoyed it but I’ve moved on to more economical products. Heartfelt congratulations on your much deserved 700k subs! I am very thankful for you. 💛🧚♀️
Dr Dray, As always love to see your genuine comments on the skincare products, Thanks so much for recommending la Roche posay cicaplast baume b5, its a winner ,and also I highly recommend la Roche posay lipikar balm AP+ for people with sensitive skin and also who are at the retinization period . Its soo soothing and moisturizing and it calms down all the burning, itching, and irritation. I can't recommend this enough. now I am confident about using Tret because of these 2 amazing la Roche posay products and the Cerave healing ointment .
I do love when you explain things this fully. It makes everything so clear. Thank you Dr Dray.
My mother gifted me a bottle of this, and I had no idea how expensive it is. But that bottle lasted me over a year! If that helps someone make that decision, I loved it so much.
If you can afford it, it’s worth it. My sensitive skin drinks it up 🥂
Can you review Dr.Lancer’s skincare line, “The Method”? He’s known to be the dermatologist for celebrities.
Omg. It is amazing. The best skin care line I have EVER used. And available on Amazon.
Start with the sample pack to see if you like it.
At the same time I ordered Lancer, I also tried the super expensive, La Mer face cream. Complete hype. Think glorified Ponds.
Lancer is definitely not cheap but you don’t need much; it lasts a long time, like Retin A.
Have been using this serum for many years. Love it! It is one of my guilty pleasures 😄
Same here 🤗
I used it 10 years ago when I worked at the EL counter during undergrad. It worked well for my skin AFTER it broke me out. We were told during our yearly/quarterly meetings that rxn was the product “drawing out the skin’s impurities”. I couldn’t keep up with the price point after graduation and getting an entry level job. Now, I am doing better financially, I was considering going back because my skin looked better then (and I did not drink near as much water as I do now). I’m probably going to give it a try again. EL’s skincare line is pretty solid for me (I also like Clinique’s skincare line). I have mostly oily combo skin and, I am AA. I liked the review a lot. Thanks Dr Dray ❤️
It broke me out too so I never used it again!
but its the ingredients, not the product, basically you pay just for the brand, you can use Ordinary and have just as perfect skin if not more...(The Ordinary is mostly cheap and really effective because it doesnt invest money into fancy packing and marketing...
What the heck is rxn? Random useless comments are annoying . Do you mean allergic reaction? What do you mean?
Thank you another thorough video! Hope your mom is doing well. I certainly miss your Sunday videos together. Please pass along your viewer’s happy thoughts. ☺️
I got hit with adult acne at 22. Bad, very suddenly after growing up with clear skin. This serum literally cleared my skin, got rid of my dark spots and got my face feeling as smooth as butter. I love it, it was worth the money for sure.
Wow
My skin loves it. Not something I could not have afforded when I was younger but now that Im old and boring its in the budget.
I swear by this serum. Helped me a lot with my post acne marks and hydration. It also helped me in preventing pimples. Its so good in hydration, I am now 30 but clubs still ask for my ID
I actually love this serum. Im 32 and the first time i tried it i was about 20. I remember the first time i applied it at night and when i woke up, i couldnt believe my eyes how good my skin looked and i was hooked ever since. The only other product that has wowed and shocked me at the difference of my skin has been tretinoin.
Can I use Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair with retinol? Which I use first?
This serum is amazing and I can’t live without it. Is it worth the money?? Absolutely!
I’ve used it for years, love it!
Same here ☺️
I traded in my cigarette habit for Ester Lauder and haven’t looked back. It’s been five years.
How did you do it 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I really really need to make a big lifestyle change but I just don’t even know how to begin😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Do I see some nail polish? First time I'm noticing. Looks great!
Been using on and off since I was 25? So 12 years and honestly my face loves it.. always come back to it and noticed its helped hydration.. fine lines.. dark marks etc (always applied it slightly damp skin)
This is an amazing product. Have been using it for over a year and absolutely love it.
I always loved ANR! I've found it to work well for me, although so does Cerave! I'm glad to learn a bit of the science behind it and it's reassuring you think it is a good product (despite being overpriced for what it is!) 🙂 thanks!
