There have been various efforts to regulate cyberspace for security purposes at the national, regional and international level. The most important activity for cybersecurity purposes has been done by the United Nations. The UN Group of Government Experts (UNGGE) and the Open-ended Working Group (OEWG) established under the First Committee of the General Assembly have achieved some clarification on the international rules applicable to cyberspace, though not so satisfactorily. The lecture will cover the developments of the international rules applicable to cyberspace by focusing on the UN.
