  • Take a close look at the new Shoei RF 1400. Lots of new upgrades, with the same feel of the Shoei RF 1200.

    Time to upgrade my 1200

    I am fan of shoei and i have the 1200, which fits comfortable but in terms of wider face slot, I like my bell race star. The 1400 doesn't seem bad, just not fan of that push to open center button.

      Ill agree. I just really love the ease of the 1200 release on the shield - I have not had the opportunity to use a Bell helmet - maybe in the near future ;)

    Perhaps once my RF1200 needs replacing, I may consider 1400, but the changes were not that beneficial to me.

    1400 is great and has awesome wind reduction. Only downside is that the Sena 50S comms system does not fit onto it!

      I have heard about the 50s not fitting well - have you tried the 50r? Maybe with 3m tape option it will work.

    Did you stay the same size from the 1200 to the 1400? Or did you have to size up? Thanks!

    • @BearMoto
      @BearMoto  3 года назад +1

      I stayed the same size between the two. Always remember, when buying a new helmet you want it to be a little tight. You dont want it to hurt, but kind of as if the helmet is hugging your head.

    Hello, I have a question if you could help me. The motorcycle shops in my city do not have an NXR for me to try on so I tried on the Shoei GT Air. The large size in the GT Air was too loose on my head. Do all Shoei helmets fit the same in terms of size? As in, if the large size GT Air was too big on my head, does that mean the NXR 2 in large would also be too big? Does that mean I could safely order a medium size for the NXR 2? Thank you in advance!

    • @BearMoto
      @BearMoto  3 года назад +1

      From a personal note, I fit every shoei in the same size. If a large is too loose then def size down. Once you find one that sort of "hugs" your head then you found a winner. See if they have the GT Air in Medium or even Small - if one of those fit perfect then just order one online - revzilla and cycle gear always have them in stock. 90 day return policy too, so if you wear it a few times and you hate it you can still return the helmet! Alot of dealerships/ local shops do not let you do this with helmets - you buy it its yours :( hope this helps! ride safe!

    I do have a Shoei Ex Zero in XL but it is kinda big on my head. I used XL on my Bell Moto 3 and fits right. Should I down size at Large in a Shoei RF 1400? Thank you.

    • @BearMoto
      @BearMoto  3 года назад

      The Ex Zero is such a cool helmet! Honestly, if the Zero seems big in an xl go down a size - do the large. Every company fits different. The way that I explain helmet fitting is that you want your helmet to feel like a tight hug at first - no pressure but just a hug. Cheeks pads should also be a little tight. You should have a chipmunk face for the first few rides lol. - Hopes this helps and ride safe!
