What is your favorite helmet? Please comment below?
I’m thinking of getting one and I’m coming from the K6 as well. The K6 is loud!
Arai Corsair x is my go to, it flows quite a bit more air than the shoei.
Icon is my go to helmet
Currently have an RF1400. Previously had Arai Quantums. Love the Shoei but a toss up with the Arai. Center lock is weird but very comfortable and quiet.
I had the same issue with the chin strap clip on my shoe but after a while, you find it in a second and clip it up. Nice lid 👍
Good to know!
I like it for the reasons you mentioned. Only dislike is the bottom of the visor. If you have it opened a few clicks for air, the bottom of the visor gets in the way of your view when looking down at the dash.
This is sueprcool. Matched with he blue on the RC
Yeah, it I would have waited another week and a half and got the blue RC390 that I orderd. Ughhh
@@RemboUSMC Time for some Vinyl wrapping. Even if you could get the KTM letters and Black Stripes to Blue, it should look good.
x spirit 3 hands down
Shoei Neotec 2 & Aria RX7 - GP
Just got this helmet. New rider, how do i install the chin curtain? And is installing the pin lock easy? Thanks great video.
Both are very easy to do an intuitive
@@RemboUSMC Thank You Sir.
its ok helmet not very good ventilation on hot day or remooving fog in the morning vents dont work, also glass opening slot located in the middle is very bad spot allways confusing with front went,
i notice its not quite helmet to ride in straigt up psition lots buffering but when i move head dawn like on sport bike it becomes quite.
i like my Arai better.
Thanks for sharing. I heard a lot of good things about the Arai motorcycle helmet but I have never owned one.
How do you compare the two 14oo vs K6 as far as ventilation?
I see no difference whatsoever. If there is some measurable difference, it is not enough to be noticed in real world applications.
Pretty sure I learned more about the K6 than I did the Shoei.
Me too
How do you compare fit shape between this and k6? Are they the same or one is more round/oval than other?
Similar shape but the AGV is longer front to back.
@@RemboUSMC Longer front to back, is it also more narrow side to side? I have tried NXR2 size M and while it is good size overall I would like it to be more narrow. Size S is too small and cant put it on.
@@mnap89 Shoei definitely gives you hamster cheeks but I love the fit and how secure it feels compared to AGV.
I have this helmet. I like it alot BUT when my hair is long its tight and can give me a headache. But I would rather be uncomfortable than have my brains on the floor.
I didn't realize that mine came with a Pinlock, which I still haven't installed, yet. The few times I used it, it fogged up a lot, so I switched back to my 1100 or 1200 (forget which), and then discovered the Pinlock in the box. The reason I chose it was because it was designed and manufactured to an even higher standard than DOT and Snell - the name escapes me, but I think the standard was more specifically for racing. Although the same size as my previous Shoei, the RF-1400 seems to be a bit cozier, but not a problem.
