992 base is an understated flex. It makes sense to have it, especially in speed yellow. Sometimes I will see one ripping in the snow during our Canadian winters and have nothing but respect for the driver LOL
WAY behind on my youtube watching, but yours are always at the top of the list! My take: I would compare the "cheap" Porsche to what else you could get in that price range more than what higher spec P cars cost. For the $110 your buddy spent, M4 Comp X-drive comes to mind. GT, not sports car, but much faster, much more luxurious interior and will hold its own on a track. Few bucks more, F-Type--faster, better looking and now a classic. Still and all, if you must have a Porsche, a lot to be said for it. Personally, I would stretch to the 2 S. GTS a bridge too far. Great vid, Mick! and thought provoking.
Very great job man! If you could try to fix a camera on the pedalbox to film your footwork for your next videos, it would be very great! :D Keep the good job guy!
I’m in Miami too. I just got my 992.2 base too. I’m a little bored with it though. Not as thrilling as I hoped. Only has 2k miles so I’d like to tune it but don’t know the reliability of the tunes yet.
@@kylethompson2276 you might have the best car under $150k haha. 991.2 GT3 is amazing… or a 992 GTS. Those two are slightly over budget tho. GT4 is fun but slow… AMG GTR is good and under budget. R8 is cool, but also not really “better” than g80. DeMan GT4 or Spyder at $150k is incredible. If you can, wait a lil, extend the budget and then 720, 600LT or 675LT. I don’t think there’s anything else… lmk if I missed anything you have in mind
What we should be asking is if no one told you which 921 this was would you be I think many write off the BASE burden is vanity. I DON'T WANT TGT LOWEST HYDRO
It's a 911. Enough said. Truly. There isn't a 911 that isn't great. But I'll still say more... I drove a 997.1 C2S and it shocked me how good it was. So, speed and performance-wise, a 992 Carrera is going to spank it. The Carrera T would be a fantastic buy. While I appreciate the fastest, the craziest, a base or a T is really all you need. It's a 911. They don't put out bad or slow 911s.
The prices are ridiculous now. You can buy one of those now for 120k with a bunch of nonsense with 5,000+ miles, or you can buy a brand new one for 125k.
The gains you get going with a Carrera D GTS... Etc. You don't notice in everyday driving... Unless you drive the others over after the other Even then.. What dues a1 second faster to 60 times matter in real life?? Doesnt! Having said that if you could start with 2025 Carrera GTS CABRIO why not heh
I would get a 2022 718 Spyder all day over this car way more exotic . I would also get a ZO6 over this car they have the same price for a 2023 at MSRP or a 2024 .
Because 911 is Porsche's flagship model. The average Porsche buyer aspires for a 911 and not a boxter (even though it may arguably be more fun to drive than the 911 and cheaper)

I'll take it in guards red! (in German: Indischrot)
I agree. Bargain of a 911 and with a tune would be insane.
Tune incoming...
Base spec is all you ever need. Sometimes less is more...I would have got one with no options at all😊
Need sport chrono and not the yellow interior bits.
This car has more like 410hp based on Dyno tests I’ve seen.
More than enough power for most people.
And very tune-able, as you said.
It feels like every bit that power. What a machine for the money.
"Only 100k" 💀
😂😂😂
Its mostly a super sports car. So 100k for a super sports car.
Starts at 188k Euro in Netherlands 😰
Lets hope the hybrid will be cheaper@@Profvlc99
Still cheaper then base gtr
Lower suspension is a MUST, leather also, but anything else is fine.

I own a 2020 base 911 love it no regrets buying it ordered it in 2019 little over 4 years ago I love driving this car
Happy you love it
Never been a Porsche guy, but this video sent me down a 911 rabbit hole.
Think I might get a 991.2 base 911 for my wife.
Imagine your wife's 911 with upgraded turbo's and a tune ;) Honestly for the money, not much can compete.
Msrp for base 2025 is over $120K. Equivalent car today is over $130K to $140K. Not a great value anymore.
Forget the old man leather, PDK without sport chrono is the bigger sin here
True

I think just a tune will get you 500 hp . You have to get the T or S to get the limited slip rear end ... or manual .
Got the tune… gonna install soon. Can’t wait to see how awesome it is
is a used 991 turbo more value and just more bang for buck ?
Used 991 turbo all day
@@MiamiMiles agree
Prices are still jacked from COVID - unnecessarily. You can't find a 2022 base for under $110 in 2025! The value magically defies gravity.
MY FAVORIT 911 IS THIS 992.1 IN YELLOW OR BLUE
I got a G80 BMW M3 comp. Car is great, had it 3 years. looking to see where I go from here. what's the next move?
Depends on the budget… G80 for the money is impossible to beat. Lmk what your budget is and I’ll give some suggestions.
Max I want to spend is $150,000

great vid, but, M3 looks better than 911??? c'mon
CS does IMO. Regular G80 does not
@@MiamiMiles Insane take bro, G80 is doodoo.
@MiamiMiles it does to u, but to me it doesn't appeal at all, i would choose 911's look over that bmw all day and all my life
Great video. Would be nice to see this car compared to a 718 Cayman S

Comment is bang on.
brilliant video great car
And imagine with a tune and proper exhaust! A good bargain 😎
Yesssss. I’m gonna tune his in the upcoming days. Can’t wait to see what it’s like

Awesome car.
Why would anyone get a base 911 when the 718 Spyder exists

Like the guy that responded here said, some people just want a 911. Me personally, 718 Spyder all day
I think the 718 is ugly compared to a 911.
Pretty nice for a base model but I don’t think it’s worth 100k
At $100k I think it’s a good value. That being said I can think of many cars to buy and make an argument for
Mickey you are welcome to drive my 992 Carrera Cabriolet anytime you wish. Give me a call anytime😂
Would love to buddy. I don't think I ever saved your number. DM it to me on Insta.
Stage 5 strait pipi city
my dad is a cheapo 😂😂
Cheap ? 125k € is cheap ? No Porsche is cheap.
It's the cheapest 992 I've ever seen from new. Cheap relative to other 992's :)
Just get a 997 Turbo S
So True
U talk crazy .
