    Pro tip. Intentionally put a single twist in straps spaning more than a few feet. This cause a slight turbulence in wind flow across the strap, reducing vibration and flutter that puts unnecessary wear on the strap and cargo, like your paint job.

    Great advise! I’ve always secured my units closest to the hubs. Never had an issue on 500+ mile trips.

      It’s 20’ long, I bought in Lewisburg TN. It’s made by a company in Alabama. Let me know if you live near Lewisburg TN, I can give you their phone number so you can get more info.

    I do like to use my winch (not tight) like a safety chain on your trailer as a just in case if a strap were to fail.

    All very good tips except for where you have excess in that back strap on the rim it needs to face the ratchet strap not tuck back towards the rim

    Best tip is get a covered trailer. Those windshields even with a cover get expensive

    Carry a roll of electrical tape with you to secure the tail.

    Dude you make an 1000 mile trip like that. That strap will cut that tire. Had it happen to me going to Colorado!

    • @FishersOffRoad
      @FishersOffRoad  10 месяцев назад +1

      My strap must have been softer or tires are harder? It never cut through anything. Not all straps are the same, that’s for sure.

    Pro tip. Get an enclosed and don’t tie it down at all, just set ur aftermarket spring brake thingy
