Pro tip: As a former medic and EMT I highly suggest you unwrap your tourniquet from the plastic wrapping and also have it pre-staged in the largest open position so it can be accessed quickly and applied as fast as possible. Remember if you need a TQ its because someone's arterial blood is gushing out of their body and they only have 3 minutes of life left in them. Seconds count with a TQ. many rookie cops make this same mistake which is why they teach to stage a TQ in the academy now.
I saved my brothers life with a tournequet 4/23/22 after he rolled my X3 and put his arm out the door... If you're going to buy anything for your car, but a trauma kit and know how to use a tournequet. They are lightweight, easy to use and they are priceless. Everyone thinks it wont happen to you but you never know when it will happen to someone else and you might be able to save a life if your prepared. BUY A TOURNEQUET!!!
This was a marvelous presentation. All good advice. Did you notice he never actually showed where the cooler goes. With all that essential gear there is hardly room for a cooler. I'm so glad my UTV has a 4'x4' bed for all that jazz.
what do you mean he never showed where the cooler goes? It was the first thing we saw- he has lift struts on his spare tire carrier and it sits right under there
@@Kdiddy-y2b Perhaps you are correct in any case it didn't look like enough of a cooler to pack enough beverages for a day or two ride. It is a nice presentation and a great rig with all the bells.....
First aid kit for after consuming all the (hydrading) adult beverages in the cooler. First aid kit for self repair after snapping the tie rod end at speed. First aid kit for fixing your hand because of trying to change a tire after consuming all the adult beverages. First aid kit for changing the tire after hitting the tree or rock or other UTV after consuming all the adult beverages.
I always carry a Tow strap. I don't carry a spare tire because of weight. I do carry a tire plug kit and a side wall patch kit and a small compressor. And we use our wenches to jack up the buggy.
I really like how the first thing you recommend is a cooler for "adult beverages". No mention of how drinking and driving can kill. Thanks for your recommendation!
Yes, they are awesome! Google “wireless back up cameras for IOS”. There are a few on the market. $50-350 depending on what you want. Install and setup are not terrible and then BOOM you got yourself look behind you device. 😁
Not at all. In fact people ride every day without preparing for anything or really knowing how to work on anything. But when Matt goes on trips it’s often in places Baja where you have to be prepared for everything, because no one is coming to help you. Plus the repairs he is talking about are actually quite simple. Watch a 5 minute RUclips video and you’ll have the basic knowledge to get yourself out of the jams he mentions. Regardless of what you decide, you are now armed with more info than when you started. Thank you for watching.

Oh yes i'm going to argue about the very first thing you mentioned...LEAVE THE ADULT BEVERAGES OFF THE TRAIL! Drinking and driving does not mix at all and needs to be kept separate. Save the drinking for when the off roading day is over

Yes sir thx for mentioning that
recovery rope , water, or beer rachet strap to hold up broke a arm, oil, break fluid, space blanket, road flares to start fire or signal
I prefer brake fluid rather than break fluid.

What kind of jack did you show? I am looking for one to carry. You said it works the best but didn't share what it was?

Please add links to products like the belt exchange kit and the first aid kit.. thank you .. great vid
Very professional presentation. A lot of time went into the entire project. ❤
in BC where we ride a cordless hedgetrimer and cordless blower for the dust that acumulates on everyone and of course belt and fuel pump
Great video, good advice, but $979.00 for a manual UTV jack. In what world is your jack worth a cool grand?

Those wenches might not want to ride with you or make you sandwiches. Probably better use your winches.
