    Always carry "QUICK CLOT Sponges or Gauzes" for major bleeders... its a life saver item! Should be every outdoor and indoor first aid kit... the 2nd must have is a Personal Emergency (Locater) Beacon...

    hey man I carry most of which you have. one recommendation. a jumper box or jumper cables. both take up little to no room and a dead battery is a huge pain in the ass. believe me I know.. lol

    Good start! The most important thing to me is hydrated and a sat phone. If you’ve got comms, and water and/or a purifier you’ll always be able to be triangulated and found. Your list is fairly complete. Fire starters, chem lights, and lighters lightweight shelter and insect repellent. Make sure someone knows your start and end point and an eta. Quick clot and or celox should also be in there I would suggest. Just sayin. Think of every single scenario for the climate and terrain and worst case scenarios. Ride in groups. Brief and debriefing after every ride. Soon, you’ll have every eventuality covered. Always be prepared. Boy Scout #101.

      If you cant afford a SAT phone, I would recommend a SPOT device. Dry change of clothes, and T.P.

    I always bring some sort of electrolyte drink. The one time I didn't I got into a pretty severe accident and it took a few hours for them to find me. After the shock wore off I couldn't stop shaking since my body had burned through everything from the adrenaline and my blood sugar was way too low. It was hard to stay awake just from that. I wasn't so badly injured that I had to go to the hospital, but I do still have the scars. Things like Gatorade technically have everything you need for survival in the short term. Long enough for them to find you so you don't get dehydrated. I sometimes bring food, but things like sandwiches won't keep if it's too hot so drinks to keep me hydrated and my blood sugar up are the priority for me in case it takes too long for me to be found in an emergency.

    Who do y'all recommend for hard poly roofs?

    • @Seizmik
      @Seizmik  8 лет назад

      If you're looking for a poly roof, we'd recommend going with Polaris (or other OEM depending on your vehicle). You just can't beat their fit and price. You might find something cheaper, but it won't fit as well. If you decide to go with a metal roof, there are lots (too many to discuss here) of options out there (material, customizations, fit, price, etc.) based on personal preferences and tons of fabricators to choose from. If you want to talk more about it, call us at 866-838-3366 and ask for Jody. He loves to talk about UTV stuff.
