Such an inconspicuous OTF. Saved me from a tweakin Trayvon in SF. Threatened me with is flip out un-flipped. What a shame mayne. Actin all friendly until the coast in clear. “How bout u just give me what you got.” He says. Thought he was joking TBH. With a little chuckle and a grin I calmly grabbed the petite Tanto out my safety vest front pocket with the left paw. “You really think that’s a good idea.” I remarked with raised brows and a mockish frown. I Flicka-da switch posturing into a partially primed stance. “Clink-KLANG” the blade bangs.” ”How quick are ya?” A little 3-5 second stare down of me and his surprise party. Turns around quick in the briskest walk pulls up hoody and plucks the strings tightening for coverage… Wait what? He really came at me for it. Took a minute to play back the stand-off situation escalation. Lucky for me ignorance of the moment and savvy impulses worked out. The shape, the sound, the concealment, and the gauntly broad blade. Enough to make-em think twice. Perfect for chopping lines too.
@Zakary Win, you can carry there if you have a CCW from a different CA county. Shouldn’t be long now anyway, the courts ruled they have to process shall issue applications. But beyond that, you can pretty much do whatever you want in SF/Oakland as long as you don’t scare the rich people/tourists. You can shoot heroin into your eyeballs with an AK47 as long as you keep it in the Tenderloin lol
I think if you really wanted to know what blade steel you have you could email them and I'm sure they could match your serial number with one of their batch #'s and know what material you have. I've had 3 ultratechs from 2020, 2021, and 2022. The 2020 has 204p and the other 2 have m390 (pretty much identical) I don't think they've used elmax since maybe 2019
Just got my BH and storm trooper Exocet , both are going to my Star Wars display case 🤷🏻♂️, I’ll keep my combat troodon dagger , halo v and my socom elite for edc rotation .
@@CoyoteEDC I thought they didnt make bh mini troodos, went ahead and ordered a exocet bh because of ur review, praying it doesnt have any firing issues down the line
I've just purchased and received the BH Exocet and my clip is supper stiff and appears to be thicker than the one on your knife. Also mine is dated 04/2021 and my SN is in the 5000 range. The BH on yours looks a bit off as well. Did you purchase yours from a Microtech dealer? It's hard to tell from the video but I'd make sure it's not a counterfeit. Just wondering.
8:00 same I wouldn't consider a dagger Exocet it just isn't working for me on this knife. But the bounty hunter is great the the tanto gives it that extra cutting power it needs at this size cant wait to get mine in. Edit: But yeah the money clip idea kind of sucks I wish it was just a nice pocket clip with retention instead. Because you definitely want to keep it on because it looks awesome but if you cant use it as a pocket clip without risking losing it then that sucks. Timing didn't work out so well for me though lol I wanted a combat troodon in bounty hunter but it appears to be too late which is why I went with the Exocet. But having a small beefy OTF that's of quality will be nice as well though.
@@stemdeckesupreme164 I ended up buying the Exocet bounty hunter and it is pretty sweet. It is a very thin razor sharp blade and the action is absolutely great on this thing.
@@stemdeckesupreme164 I also bought a Hogue Spartan OTF which was also a pretty nice knife with a very nice action. The only issue was it scraped on the side of a knife a bit and with it being coated it was fairly noticeable though thankfully it doesn't scratch anything important and its not a long scratch or anything its just a small one near the base of the blade. I ended up giving that one to my father for fathers day though. Id say its on par with microtech though the action is different which I wouldn't say its different in a bad way either its just different and its very smooth there is no grit feeling in the spring as you deploy it or anything like that.
@@CoyoteEDC ok, I think I got a knockoff version lol I don't know anything about knives but a friend of mine who got it from a friend of his for $20 had it and I really liked it so he gave it to me. I looked it up online to do some more research on the knife and came across your video and a few others. The knife looks exactly the same as yours but the only difference is that mine doesn't have any scuffs or weathering like yours does.
@@MarquezDaniel how does the action work? based on my personal experiences it just tends to be a hit or miss. I have bought cheaper OTF's that work great and I've bought cheaper ones that have a rather short lifespan because some little metal piece will break etc. Some microtech clones are around 80 dollars and work great for the price difference. *I've never bought a microtech clone I've only seen videos of people testing them against the real deal. They never end up holding up as well as the real microtech but they work great for EDC use... They typically don't break until he starts hammering them into wood and crap that you would never do with a $300-$800+ OTF.
You mispronounced troodon and tanto, the finish is called apocalyptic and is a hybrid stonewash; not a regular stonewash, also as a satin grind on the flats.
Who uses a money clip? In fact, who uses money? What, is it 1955 and nobody told me? 🤔 I haven't used cash in decades... Except to buy weed, but now I can put that on my card too sooo....
I bought a bounty hunter today from PVK Las Vegas…👍🏻
As of 2/7/2021, Knife center has them in stock as well. Good luck guys.

I’ll take things that never happened for $1000, Alex.
Nice vigilante fiction. Extra points for the subtle racism.

Good to know, don't think it matters with this one too much though.
Just ordered mine in a merlot red handle with all bronzed hardware/tanto blade with cutout. Always order mine from PVK VEGAS.

No bounty hunter mini troodon as of october 2021:(
They come in and out of stock at retailers so quickly. You have to really be on the hunt.

That's nice that they made it thicker. This one is from knifecenter, and it has gone back to Microtech twice for warranty work.

If you live in california just go to vegas and buy your knives “no id” thats what i do 🤟
No need for that, you can buy and own autos in california. You just can't carry them on you. Buying is easy from any site.
