The fifteen year old in me grins everytime I see that one. Usually homage items like that seem like silly parodies, but Microtech did such a great job with that one. I got my box yesterday, thanks JB, I had a lot of fun unboxing!
I'm an old school fan but don't mind catching the new flicks a bit. I do like the Bounty Hunter even if it has the Tanto blade. I'm sure to get one eventually in the Ultratech length. Thanks for sharing JB.
I feel like the guest reviewers were going to be a little biassed. lol I love the look of the Bounty Hunter theme. Microtech did a great job with that. Great video once again JB! Have a great night.
Love the theme knives especially this version. I got me a UTX BH a while back & I love it. Well worth the 🤑 for the quality & materials. I definitely baby it cuz I’d hate to mess it up on some dumb💩. UTX is a bit more pocket friendly too.👊🏼
I do love otfs but not being able to carry them stops me from getting them. But this is one I would love to add to the collection as a huge star wars/ boba Fett fan myself. Great review my friend 👍
I have always like this model pretty cool. And decent size probably won't ever have one as OTFs are not really my thing have actually given all the ones I had away .
Magical knife brother I think it's a cool color definitely want to take out for special occasions thanks for sharing tell your buddy thanks for sending it to you if you share keep up the good work brother stay safe
I really liked the Star Wars movies. Don't have any of the streaming services so haven't seen Mandolorian. Seems like alot of money for little to no use but understand the appeal. Glad Lefty EDC let you have it in hand.
I have always wanted this knife and I swear I would save up and drop the $$$ on this knife, BUT of course autos are illegal where I live. So in love with this.
I like my Ultratech. Nice little blade. If they made a version of the Bounty Hunter that wasn't already scratched to hell out of the box I'd probably buy one. I just prefer to put my own scratches on my knives
Don't care for otf knives but I am sure there will be people getting it just for the star wars theme. Boba Fett would make a great holder for it on a desk. Can see people using it like this as a letter opener.
@@BigRedEDC I also edc a Surefire Defender Ultra or a Olight Warrior X.I sure wish Olight would make a flashlight in the exact same color scheme.Matching the Bounty Hunter would be cool.
Not much on OTF'S myself, but I do appreciate the special edition. The original trilogy was it growing up. I would have preferred Lucas to finish what he started.
Before I got really into knives I bought what I thought was the comb version, which I've since come to find out is a clone😭. Not super upset with myself seeing that I live in Canada and couldn't get one anyway. Knowing what I know now the price was a dead giveaway.🤷🏾♂️ You live and you learn.
Something to note... He probably reversed the pocket clip because of the main drawback of the Ultratech series. That would be the smooth handle design. Unlike something like a boot knife or say a knife with a flipper, there is nothing to stop your hand from slipping forward except your grip. That, in combination with the fact that the standard design for the scales of the UTX, UTX85 & UTX70 is completely smooth, makes for an almost unusable platform. At least as far as practicality goes. Microtech seems to be at least recently aware of this problem. The Ultratech II series has a re-designed handle they're referring to as a "stepped" scale. Not a vast improvement but at least they're moving in the right direction. Before that, the only rational option would've been the various "Tri-Scale" style models. This includes the "Delta" and "Frag" series, as well as the Star Wars models. Although the Sith Lord seems to be the only one that has the texturing throughout the entirety of the scales. To the original point, reversing the pocket clip seems to give a little more meat and resistance to your grip. An anchor point, if you will. In my humble opinion Microtech should just make the Delta/Frag/Shadow/Tri-Scales standard, at least on the Ultratech and UTX-85 models. It's a bad look that their best scales are reserved for the premium price tag.

I agree Rick! It definitely is a lot of money for little use. Might just have to be one of those guilty pleasures....lol!!!!
When knife nerds and Star Wars nerds collide! Love this version, been on my list for a while, and probably will be for a while lol. This is the way...

You can do it with a small round diamond file
Man I wouldn't mind having one of these
For sure Kevin!! Thanks for watching brother!
What would you say would be the best first otf
I dont have much experience with OTFs so my knowledge base. I would say one that isnt very expensive to make sure you like the feel of them.
