This is probably the only shows to psychologically breakdown existence itself down to the molecular structure and then immediately after turn it into fart joke
My favorite joke is the metal guy that fought the mosquitoes praying and repenting real quick before saying “yes Made it”. It will always make me laugh
Xavier has the most jokes per minute if any comedy and they are actually good. The final episode of season one is so great. Everything from the unique intro to the showdown
"You're about as deep as a bowl of soup, and you're tongue is about as sharp as a soup soon!" "Hey, say what you will about me but... lay off the soup" "If you love soup so much, why don't you marry soup?" "Because I'm already married to justice" "Yeah, only a blind girl would marry you!" I love this show
Xavier is like a player character in a tabletop game that's been so poorly specced, but he some somehow manages to avoid getting killed throughout the whole campaign, despite being completely useless and destructive. :D The show is pure chaos, and I love it.
"That's just lake humour" could be the best line in the entire episode, possibly the entire show but there are just so many great lines. I also love the look on xavier's face when he meets someone almost as unhelpful and obnoxious as him.
"Stupidity is Xavier's main character trait" Yeah, I see it as, he's meant to satirize a form of Western spirituality that borrows from ancient non-Western traditions shallowly without respect or understanding of these ideas in their original cultural context. In other words, he's a jab at white surfer bros with dream catcher tattoos.
The only thing I felt Xavier was mocking was the amalgamation of mixed up religions concepts with no idea of what they're adopting as a moral guidance.
I didn't even notice that this channel has only 76 subscribers and this video only 88 views!! I was so into it that I thought it was from one of those high quality commentary/documentary channels. This video is great, honestly. I believe you have a great future, keep going!!
"If you weren't paying attention because you were stones and watching this at 2am, you would be absolutely baffled at how exactly this could've happened." This is what I did last night. First season I understood fine but by the time season 2 started I was completely lost.
i don't know if this is 100% true but i read that it's because people would call (?) adult swim/the creators complaining about his voice in the first season so they made it more obnoxious on purpose lol
My hands were full and I was doing stuff with my headphones in when you started singing (vocalizing?) for what felt like eons. It was a divine punishment for enjoying this show. As quickly as it started, the harmonizing (perhaps singing?) ended and I had forgotten it had ever happened.
The show is ugly, weird, and disturbing. But it doesn't do these things to just shitpost. I feel a lot of work went into making it offend your senses in the best of ways. To top it all off I enjoyed the humor and the various quotes that were a lot smarter than I thought they would be. Honestly it reminds me of cruelty squad the game.
In college, I watched one episode of this show while I was high as a kite, and the profound impact it had on me has lasted to this day - 14 years later. Never seen another episode, never met anyone else who has seen it. Freakin' weird, man.

The way I discovered the show made it even more bizarre for me. I got curious one day and decided to search "." on RUclips, and was met with a 3 minute clip from the episode "Shakashuri Blowdown" with around 3 million views with a simple dot as the title. Needless to say, without context of the show, I was mindblown, and subsequently laughing my ass off. Eventually, I decided to watch the show, and was not disappointed. Shakashuri Blowdown is still my favorite episode, and XRA is still one of my favorite shows. Sadly, the original video I found is gone due to copyright, but its legacy remains :)
I was watching the episode about "Wind Monkeys" with my mom (wild sentance i know) and i came out of it saying it was about slvery and civil rights and her takeaway was more about animal abuse and animal rights
First time I watched this show was coming down off 6 hits of X, a teener if good meth and drank a bottle of Robitussin. This show came on and reality was a struggle for 30 minutes

@@maxmunich You both missed one. At 5:40, a single tear rolls down the chimp's cheek, recalling the "Crying Indian" anti-littering commercial from the 1970s.
Great vid! A couple things I'll point out: 3:19 - I've always interpreted the third eye on his crotch as conveying that the way folks (mostly white liberals) try to adopt eastern/otherwise non-western spirituality without fully understanding it, end up unwittingly making it a masturbatory practice - merely to please the self with no ability to truly provide help to others. I think Malmrose Projects address this in her video too. 13:12 - I always took the offensiveness of a lot of the jokes to be a reflection of just how damaging someone like Xavier is in the real world. Xavier fundamentally misunderstands the root of any and all societal evils, to the point of merely making them worse when he tries to "help." And on top of that, he completely lacks the self-awareness to realize what he's doing. (and yes, I do realize I'm saying this with Xavier literally being my channel/comment thumbnail lol)
I was in middle school when i woke up in the middle of the night with this show on. Didn't understand a thing, but i thank its service for contributing to my messed up personality
im stoned out my ass and i started watching the show and 20 minutes in i jus started crying, i cannot believe that this is a real show made by a sane human being in the same plane of existence that we are in, this is art. 10/10 peak
My favorite part about this show is how present the police/law enforcement are, but even though they attempt to stop xavier they are powerless against the forces of the writing team just ignoring them and just taking the plot on a different direction
An interresting thing about Xavier is how he has absolutly no likeable qualities yet is somehow so lovable. Unlike a character like Beetlejuice who went from a disgusting pervert and groomer to a softer, still disgusting friend Xavier arguably only gets worse throughout the series.
i remember the one time i watched xavier with friends while on mushrooms, we thought it lasted 40 minutes. turns out we only watched a 5 minute clip, which (for some reason) was cropped halfway. basically only giving us 25% of the experience, would recommend
this vid came out right around the time i revisited this show and watched all of it, weird! a friend showed me the first ep a few years ago. i thought it was funny, forgot about it after. before that, i'd see it on tv at night as a kid, and i thought it was... weird. suffice it to say, none of those feelings went away this time, but i have a new appreciation for the satirical elements now LOL
A show like this is like a Mandelbrot onion. Its got layers upon layers upon layers of some rather stanky shitposts. 6/10 no garfield reference. "No son, it was you who killed me ! What kind of stupid name is youhoo ?"
In one episode Xavier is trying to communicate with the spirit of the recently deceased founder of lotion, and later in that same episode Xavier and a neighborhood of people painted in gold pretending to be robots are having all out war with Muslim tourists turned into dinosaurs. That's how ridiculously hilarious this series is.
12 Oz. Mouse is on the other side of the Adult Swim spectrum. In this show, so much happens at once, and 12. Oz Mouse, you can't tell if anything is happening at all.
