This isnt about cinema sins, but for any channels that do gaming sins. One of my biggest pet peeves is when they criticize a game for not having something a sequel had, when not having it has no negative impact. It just absolutely infuriates me.

Animation Sins is worse. If I recall correctly they were the devs of Poppys Playtime. And thats not the bad part oh no. It turns out that they bullied a Minecraft animation youtuber for no reason but only to just express how much they hate their animations I guess. But the worst part is they basically sent porn to this animator. But wait their's more. This animator is also a minor. So you can see where I'm going here. Random people reacted to their animations and nitpicked at them just because they could, Tried to befriend said animator to just be a dick to them behind their back, sent porn to this aninator who was also a minor, etc. Imagine hating someone so much for no reason you make that your entire personality. Man those NFTs really got to their head

we have to understand what American Psycho means. i don't believe Bateman is a psychopath (antisocial personality disorder). i believe Bateman is borderline (BPD) with a psychotic component. so American PSYCHO means "psychotic", and psychotic means a temporary break from reality that may or may not include violence. psychopath: someone with antisocial personality disorder (ASPD), typically marked by callousness toward others, disregard for rules and social norms, and impulsivity. may or may not have a psychotic component. borderline: marked by fragile ego, no real sense of self, terror of being alone, difficulty making personal connections, need for outward appearances as a way of defining ourselves, terror of abandonment, often explosive anger, and many other symptoms. fact: the business card scene is textbook borderline. as a borderline person myself, i've felt exactly that many times. in fact, the very first time i saw this movie, i sat bolt upright in my seat in the theater and looked over at my wife, and she nodded because she knew what my body language meant: i know EXACTLY what he felt like in that situation. you seethe with rage blended with disappointment and fear. your so-called "friends" have turned their backs on you. they've betrayed you. even worse, they're trying to mock and humiliate you, when you're supposed to be praised for your exquisite taste. put it this way: something similar happened to me in the 6th grade. i'm 44 now, and if i think about, i STILL get angry about it....and the guy who did it has been dead since 2009. that's borderline. Bateman saying "i'm just not there" is classic borderline. he has an outward appearance that he tailors carefully, but it's empty. to most people, clothing, hairstyles, shoes, a car, etc, these are just things we buy because we need and like them. to people like Bateman (and me), they're insanely important. we stress and struggle over the smallest details, because we think other people are noticing them and laughing at us behind our backs. like "did you see Bateman? he got the $300 glasses instead of the $400 ones, what a fucking LOSER!!!" he really thinks that's going on, when really, nobody cares. read about borderline. you'll see that Bateman is borderline with a psychotic component.

I don’t get how people hate this guy, you came to his channel for cinema sins that are stupid and funny that don’t make any sense, it’s obviously not a hate of media on his part. It’s just meant to be funny, don’t hate on it. (And yes obviously I love cinemawins) Man, just let people like their specific RUclipsrs and spread love. Everyone is entitled to what they like to watch as long as it doesn’t hurt other people. I prefer cinema wins over cinema sins, but it’s what people want. You go to channel, you find what you look for, and you get angry. That’s fine. Spread love and peace guys.

Positive media discussion being more of a thing now a days is really great to see. People finally got so feed up with talking about bad movies or shows or anything and instead talk about what they love. Sure I love a good old fashion rant (lord knows I have my moments during discussions of anything with friends) but it’s just nice negativity or at least cinema sins type isn’t the norm anymore. Or at the very least cinema wins and others like it have tried to fight back.

That's the whole point of Wins and Sins. Both have their merit and both have their flaw. And what's funny CinemaSins themselves said they are assholes anyway. So keep an open mind and stop with tunneling your vision, it's hampering your statement and making it look very very silly. Ironically a tell-tale trait for making "slop" content.

Placing american psycho and masculinity in the same sentence is clear ignorance on everyone's behalf. Calling the behavior in the movie a resemblance of masculinity is an insult to true manhood. Unfortunately nowadays the world is filled with little boys and femboys so no one can expect to know what a real man looks like. If a man eating lion was released in the united states, it would starve because there are no more remaining men.

From my perspective (as someone who doesn't watch enough movies), I don't think CinemaSins is terrible. It's supposed to be annoying, supposed to nit-pick to a useless degree, supposed to give terrible reasons why certain movies are bad rather than actually putting in effort. They have always been the ultimate armchair movie critic, which is why it's a popular channel. Sure, the humor isn't great nor is the writing or quality. But I feel like you are missing the point of CinemaSins, that movies are dumb and movie critics are even dumber because the point of a film is to satisfy the filmmakers need to make content, as well as entertain the audience: not be perfect. As for CinemaWins, I agree with everything you said.

How can a grown man not grasp this simple thing is beyond me. No CinemaWins is not comparable to CinemaSins. But are for different moods and people.

    • @CursedAnqxl

so it is film criticism, but instead of actually criticizing the movie where it should be criticized, they point out the most minor of details that they either do not like or completely make up to spin a false narrative about the movie in question in order to get their video runtime up for more ad revenue, otherwise they wouldn't be able to justify making a 20 minute video about most movies. some people do like it, the people that buy into their nonsensical arguments and the people that genuinely believe their lies about it being a joke, when in reality they only say that in an attempt to deny responsibility for the poor sportsmanship that they show in regards to criticizing films. it's not rocket science to grasp the fact that they are willing to manipulate, deceive, lie and earn money from the masses that just consume without a second thought, because they know it works and it works well. cinemaSins and cinemaWins by their very nature are comparable, not to mention the truth that they share nine out of ten of the same letters as each other. in fact, they are so darn similar that people often get confused about if they are ran by the same people or not. get some help, I believe in your ability to get out of this delusional state, where most would give up, I still hope that you would see reason, I know you can do it~

@@vikramgogoi3621 but it is still criticizing the film, correct? just because you are only doing one aspect of it doesn't mean its not criticism, nor does that make it a joke, which by the way are not very funny to begin with, so what exactly does cinemasins have to offer here? they aren't but totally are criticizing films in the most shallow ways possible, even purposefully taking things out of context or omitting important information which would otherwise matter a lot, misguiding their audience intentionally to believing a certain narrative about x movie, without ever stating anywhere in the videos or the description that these videos are meant to be a joke and not taken seriously in any manner. why else do you think there are countless videos like this one critical of cinemasins and the way they do things? surely it cannot be because of their questionable actions on social media or their blatant disregard for countless things in the various films they covered over the years? making it not a serious video is one thing, but I and many others genuinely do not come out of watching a cinemasins video and go "that was such a funny and not serious video to pass the time" instead, we are led to believe this is what they actually think about these films, and these criticisms are what the channel is clearly trying to present to us as actual criticisms, because like I said, no disclaimers of any sort, and even when they do say on their other social medias that it is a joke, it feels like more a denial of responsibility and accountability for the videos they make than it actually being truly a joke like they claim it is. (hence why they change nothing other than telling some meta jokes sprinkled throughout later videos to the audience that they know will not believe the more critical aspects towards cinemasins) there is nothing wrong with still liking cinemasins despite all of that, after all the sin counter ding is a surefire sign of activating one's dopamine receptors and to get people to pay attention a bit more to the videos, and cinemasins do have their good moments somewhere in between the less than flattering rest of it. but for me personally, its not my thing anymore. I used to watch cinemasins quite a bit, about 50 videos or so, but I kind of just fell out with it over time due to the things I said earlier. if I want film criticism, I would go over to sometimes the one off videos from certain people who are underrated, maybe stick around a bit longer to get all the details about these films that both interest me but I also want to see people criticize them and tear them apart because I believed that they did a number of things wrong in the film but also the type of films that somehow get billions of dollars despite these seemingly obvious glaring flaws in the story and with the characters. I never believed I was any better at thinking than anybody else, except maybe the type of person that does not listen to reason, I simply told what I believe was true about this topic, and I believe that even though I probably went too far in a place or two, I felt like I still handled the situation in a very responsible manner, and made sure to make my comment in such a way that would respond to yours appropriately. like I stated in the third paragraph in this comment, nothing wrong with different people with different tastes, its just the natural order of things in the world, but surely you must remember your first comment started with "stay salty" which led me to believe that you were less than willing to engage in a typical conversation with me or anyone else, so I was slightly less forgiving than I otherwise might have been, were you to levy fairer criticism towards the creator of this video. however, this does not mean that cinemasins isn't still criticizing films as I mentioned earlier, nor does it mean that they are not deceiving the masses, because like I stated, most people who watch cinemasins do not come out of watching them and going "oh yeah this was an intentionally not serious video" and I used to watch them, I and others always came out of their videos going "wow they were quite harsh towards this film in this video, and heavily critical of the film in question" and this was essentially ALL cinemasins videos, just doing that every time. clearly they threw jokes in the videos to get us to laugh with mixed results, but we were not led to believe in the slightest that the entire thing was meant to not be taken seriously, we only saw it as some guy who heavily critiqued films while throwing in some jokes to make the youtube formula more successful. so yes, it is large part deception no matter what, whether its intentional or not is up to the individual to decide, but it is deception to some degree. finally, you state I am on "my high horse" when I never really was, which firstly is you just artificially placing me on a moral high ground that did not exist before you mentioned it, and secondly even if I was on my supposed moral high ground, who is to say that I wouldn't just type "no you are objectively wrong" in such a smug and condescending way? I absolutely considered it and might have done it, don't get me wrong, but I just happen to actually care about these things more to give actual thoughts and criticisms where I saw fit in your comments, so I decided to type this essay instead, just for you~ speaking of which, you seemed bothered by my usage of a tilde at the end of my last comment, and I must ask why? I will tell you why I do it, because I want to~ now, I am still unsure as to if these tildes actually make you upset by me using them in sentences, but I hope that it actually is not hurting you and instead you are just trying to do something else with that last remark you gave me, which I assume you are. I sure did type a lot here didn't I? well, you humored me in no small amount, and for that I thank you for the fun times that resulted in these comments, but now I am going to go elsewhere to continue my moderately satisfying and fulfilling life and hope you do the same once/if you read this long comment of mine~ sincerely, angel~

Cinemasins and Cinemawins are two sides of the same coin. Because both deal in absolutes both are very limited in how they can dissect films for others to watch. They are at their strongest when tackling films that fit the mold. You can see this with Doctor Strange multiverse of madness. It’s a terrible movie and thus Sins are far more at home while Wins needs to bend over backwards to say good things, becoming that of toddler loving jangling keys. The opposite can be true when tackling good movies as wins can flaunt his work while sins have to begin nitpicking to a crazy level. Though at the end of day I still prefer sins mainly for the humor. It isn’t great but at least it is there while Wins even at his best is praise for the sake of praise. He doesn’t say why something is good just that it is good. Though to be fair I have recently learned that explaining praise is much more difficult then explaining criticism.
