Another great video from you! I saw this guitar a few weeks ago, purchased one, had my tech work on the frets, and just started to dig into the software. Very cool and a ton of value for the money. Thanks the detailed explanation.
I'd be very interested in seeing you set that up as a real world gigging solution. Not to replace your live rig, necessarily, but in a "here's how I'd play a bar gig with this right and nothing else" kind of deal
It’s great to go in as a Strat no effects because there are volume differences between some settings that’d be a downer mid set. But if you just stay in the four you choose you’d be fine.
Thanks for the great info Steve. Been looking at this guitar for awhile you presented it well. I’m 65 years old and have pretty good and high end collection and don’t like pulling some of them out to just noodle. I have go 2s and it seems like this could be a blast for hardly no money! Again thank you
I believe the 5 way toggle is changing the guitar sim and not the pickups necessarily, when the super knob is turned on. When the super knob is off the toggle switch works as expected for a strat. I could be wrong.
An amazing full featured modeler of all things 🎸 guitar! The software product alone and incorporated into a Strat style guitar is a wise move. Instant Sub and looking forward to your takes. 😎 🙏
The next step is selling a kit to turn ANY guitar into a modeler. They need to create a set of modeling PICKUPS, or better yet, a modeling circuit you can install like a Clapton Boost Kit.
Cool features. Regarding the pickup modeling, if you use a single coil pickup, but model it to a humbucker, does the hum/noise go away? It would be smart if it did.
Thx for this review Steve, you've deep down into the details! I've heard S800 doesn't stay in tune. Is this because of the floating bridge? If so I think it's not a big deal for me, cause I don't use tremolo very often
That's a lot of great features packed into one single guitar! The price is also affordable 👍 However, I can't help but wonder, in time, won't all these new features push the analog sound away and make everything go digital 🤔 Won't it change the original guitar sound in the end? But this one definitely seems like a nice one a for a beginner 😁 Love the review!
Your husband gives you a thanks?!? No wow thanks honey that really means a lot coming for you my sweetheart 💗. Lol. Not trying to get him in trouble or anything like that. I'd hate myself if he ended up on the couch bc of me. 🤣.
Where will it fit in 10 years? It’s like the 30 year old Bentley I saw, it had GPS when GPS wasn’t a thing. The user interface is meaningless now, you can’t update the maps and looks like a 1980s 2D graphics.
Thats why i made the point of it actually being a solid guitar. Even with a full electronics overhaul to become a regular guitar, its still worth it IMO
It takes some dialling in. I have one. Personally I don't like the FX all that much, but I have found an amp model that I like... The Plexi. Same with the Flamma FS06 preamp - I love the Plexi, but none of the others float my boat. (I think the Mooer & Flamma models are the same BTW). I created a few personal presets based just the amp model, stomp and comp models and did a duo gig recently, which it worked perfectly for with reverb from the PA mixer. Everyone loved the sound. For a gig like that, playing dinner music at a polite volume it's really good: Convenient, quick to setup and the sound is more like a recording rather than a live guitar. With my band I'll stick to the traditional setup, but I'll still use the GTRS as a normal guitar because I love how it feels/plays. I guess it's not for everyone, but for my regular duo gig, it saves me a lot of time and carrying of equipment. I'll post some videos on the GTRS when I get a chance to do it.

Thanks for checking it out! I am gald you are liking yours as much as I am

If time allows, I will definitely set something like that up!

Hey this is cool! At 11:50 nice groove there!!
Thanks Angel! I may put this up for sale if you are interested
Got myself an S801. Great guitar! Worth every penny it costs.
great guitars!
Could you tell me the weight of the guitar please, is it heavy?
Thanks.

Glad to help Pop! I think you'll like it. Especially being able to plug headphones right into the output jack

The pickup switch is only pickup switching. The super knob pressing in and turning changes the models
That actually sounds really good !
Thanks bro!

Thanks for checking it out and for your sub!

I’m thinking a MOD for this speak to it to change setting via iPods . That’d make changes on fly amazing
Looks pretty cool 👍🏻
Its awesome!
Cool! Don't need an amp? Great stuff! Love the color of the guitar!
Yess!

Thats a good question. I have not tested this yet
How do you guys compare this guitar to a mexican Fender (for example Player Plus)?
So, you like it. Good, as I have just bought one!
Also does it have a setting to play a bass like a octave shifter? For the loops you know
Hello Steve! Great video. Is it possible to use with bluetooth headphones?
Good question. I honestly do not know but I believe it only receives bluetooth
Thx for this review Steve, you've deep down into the details! I've heard S800 doesn't stay in tune. Is this because of the floating bridge? If so I think it's not a big deal for me, cause I don't use tremolo very often
Mine is surprisingly good. Thought about selling it to free up some room though
Good meaning it stays in tune fine even with the floating bridge
Could someone tell me the weight of the guitar please, is it heavy?
Well, I own two Line 6 Guitars. A Variax Standard and a Shuriken. Not sure that this measures up but close, Maybe.
I would say variax is still ahead of this IMO
Does it have a 12 string effect?

The interest in vintage analog and tube gear is only growing. Those sounds are in no risk of disappearing anytime soon.
I think real gear will always have a place!
This is cool
Right?!
Is the required battery a common "off the shelf" item available at Walmart?
Nope. Its usb chargeable like a smart phone
👏👏👏👏👏
thanks!

PRO Demo...
How heavy is this? Amazon shows 15lbs, but that can’t be right.
Thats gotta be total ship weight. Its under 8 lbs for sure
@@SteveSterlacci thanks!

not a fan of how it sounds, but probably a nice gimmick for a beginner
I honestly love it as a guitar straight up lol i wouldnt mind ripping out the modeling system and installing regular electronics
@@SteveSterlacci yeah, i was only referring to the modelling sounds. the guitar itself might be cool
2:27 ew gross bro
got me on that one 😅😂
@@SteveSterlacci haha subbed
Thank you! I look forward to more comments like this one to keep me in check 🤣🤣🤣
Interesting idea. Sound likes butt. Guess it would be good for a beginner or bedroom practice in a pinch.
I am curious to try dialing in my own sounds on it. The pickups into the real amp at the end I think sounds good though
