Yami Bakura was my favorite villain in the original series, have to admire the fact that while everyone was focused on stopping whichever big bad was currently causing trouble he would be plotting in the background while staying one step ahead of the heroes.
The soul stealer inside Bakura is the most insane Yugioh villains ever. Every time he seems defeated, he always seems to come back. Not even throwing away his millennium ring does any good to get rid of him.
Hell yeah, in the "back to Egypt" season when he popped up on the grand stage duel with yugi I was like "Oh wow, this man Yami bakura was serious. Relentless and persistent with it"
I don't even think she knew who the Great Evil was. When Bakura was looking for her necklace and found the stone tablet again she didn't seem to know who he was and downplayed his knowledge.
Bakura’s slow burn throughout the series is insane until he becomes the villain of the final arc. Always with the tunnel vision of the Millennium Items and which I love how they expanded!
@Chase Ambrose despite the glowing symbol of Marik's forehead, his Yami persona was the result of his father's abuse, not containing the soul of a past life like Bakura and Atem
Most of the millennium items don’t have spirits attached. Bakura’s I think was infused with the spirit of Zorc upon his first defeat, while Yugi’s was infused with Atem’s long after the puzzle was made. The items were originally just used to seal the magic of shadow games for eternity. The spirit infusion occurs from the leftover magic and usually the will of the spirit bonded. Marik’s is a more pressnttt case as it was Marik’s own will that forced the millennium rod to separate his spirit into light and dark due to the trauma he faced as a child. Bakura, or rather the spirit of the millennium ring, did not assume any other item had a spirit because before his first sealing none of them did.
Yami Bakura pretty much lost his memories of how he came to be in the millennium item, just like Yami Yugi did. So, he didn't think there'd be another spirit in another millennium item, which normally isn't a thing, and only was with these two since Atem sealed himself, Touzoku Bakura, and Zorc into both the millennium ring and puzzle where they were for 3,000 years.
@@MomoKanjaki He forgot some details, but unlike Yami Yugi he was well aware of who he was, both his Thief King self and dark god self. Atem specifically sealed *his memories* alongside Zorc's soul, and he had to effectively make new ones as he roleplayed with Bakura,
I mean, considering the fact that the Millennium Items were made from his people, Yami Bakura does have a good reason to want them all. Not counting the while Zorc thing.
I think what people don’t remember is that yummy? Bora was made from the spirit of thief king Bora, and a portion of Zorc that were created this new person.
Yami Yugi: "You want my millennium puzzle? Then you're going to have to duel me for it." Yami Bakura: "There's more at stake here than you comprehend. And this is one shadow game you CANNOT win." Been over 20 years since I've seen this episode 😊

yeah the fact that he kills Pegasus in the manga is pretty insane. And took his eye was just the coolest for a villain.

You cut the best part!
"You want my Millennium Puzzle....? Then you're going to have to duel me for it!"
Ikr . There is more at stake here than you comprehend. And this is one shadow game that you cannot win . Love that line
Ischizu: The Great Evil will return. And you will face it once more.
Atem: I already did before i met you.
I'm sure if Atem had his memories at that point, that's exactly how he'd respond.

Why didn't yami bakura think yugi might also have a spirit from the item in his soul, since he's a spirit from a millennium item himself?

bruh, i saw the thumbnail and thought it was bakura stepping over the camera tryna assert dominance.
More like stepping over sonic to try and assert dominance
