    I've never had problems charging my S3 Frontier. I installed the update, and it seems to have improved the battery life per charge.

    Appears to have fixed the battery-charging issue that recently started on my Gear S3 Classic. In addition, the Fitness app now allows settings as low as 1 minute, a decrease from the 5-minute limit that existed before. A minor change to the display of the workout-in-session screen was also added.

    had the same issue at the first charge. i was pretty dissapointed. i am on 3.0.2 Tizen Os.
    My fix was really simple and hopefully it will work to others as well. I've just removed the plastic stickers around the charging dock. After I did that the watch was charging smoothly. Also it's turned off while charging.

      if the Galaxy watch doesn't work for me I'm going to try another gear S3 the one I have really sucks can't get through a whole day with battery life at all

    The biggest problem I'v had is the watch overheating while charging. I hope this fixes it.

      Fred Ortiz I have the send problem after the update overhead will it charge and the light on the charger never turned green is like never stop charging

      The update didn't fix the overheating but it did not fix the charging issue can't get through a whole day

    need help my galaxy watch will heat up and i can't wear it and the light at the back disappeared

    I've done the update on my UK S3 Classic. Used to get just over 1 day. Should now get at least 2 days judging by the slower discharge rate compared to yesterday. Battery also charged without issues and straight to 100% showing the green indicator. So far all seems better. Will update if the update does not fix the issue.

      Just wanted to report back that after 1 day and 22 hours I still have 36% left. So it looks like my watch will now last nearly 3 days! That's awesome. Glad Samsung fixed the issue but they did take a long time coming up with this fix.

      Further update. My Gear S3 Classic now goes 3 days between charges. The update has doubled battery life from 1.5 days to 3 days. Its taken some weeks to get the battery algorithm sorted out but I'm enjoying the extra battery life. Love the watch. 😃

    I updated and it was a rough start my watch was overheating and I was having the same problems everyone else was at first but after I turned the watch off for a lil while and it was back to normal. I guess the new program had to settle in with the watch. I guess different case scenario for other people, but that's what I did and my watch is fine up and running... Thank you because if I never watched your video I would have never known what was wrong with my watch.

      I have yet to test mine have so much to delete off my gear watch that I haven't gotten the chance to test it out yet but I will soon to see if my's work

      Yea I hear you because I was a lil shaky at first to update because even before I updated my watch was overheating and acting funny all day yesterday and that was the only time I've experienced any problems with the watch and I had my watch for about 2 months so it's still fairly new. It's not even been a full day since my update but like I said so far so good the battery life is holding up strong and that was my other issue.

      I'm a wait and see how this update holds up before I say its good or not because I haven't had it that long so we'll see. If your watch is fine I wouldn't even update if you don't have to.

    I need an update for the lte version, I can't even turn it on at times and if it do comes on it's dies in like 2 hours

      so far so good. I have not tried leaving the watch charge on. I normally have to charge the watch while it's off.

    I personally haven't had any issues charging my s3 up to 100%. I have thought it got slightly warm a time or two. Maybe this update will make it worse for me!? 🤔🤪
    Samsung is way too slow to roll out these updates for their consumers. People pay good money for these devices and I just think they need to update faster!

    Hi Huck i got the Update today.but my Gear still charged to 84 % so i Unplugged the charger and reconnect it. Then the Red LED Starts blinking. I charg my Gear Always Off. I buy ist from Amazon Prime day Here in Germany. Any suggestions will be apreciated.
    I waited 10 minutes now ITS charging. Hopefully to 100%

      if you got it on Prime day you still have time to send it back and reorder another one or you can send it to Samsung to have it fixed now I got to Updates this is my second update that I got from Samsung so you might want to wait a couple of days to see if the update comes through again and if not then either send it back get another smartwatch and or seem to Samsung to have it fixed cuz you have a warranty on it as well

    Guys, here is the solution to charge your gear for 100% without errors. Put it while charging in a low temperature, like +10 or +5 celcius. Put it in a fridge at last! I know it sounds funny, but in this way I have charged my watch fully - 100%. Or place some cooler or fan. Ofcorse it's not a solution, but now I know for sure there are problems with temperature sensors which causes this error ;-) Yes, samsung sucks, still no comments from it about solving this problem.

    After updating the new software battery problem is solved but new issue is occurred with “wake up gesture” is not working
    When you raise your hand to see the watch face it do not wake up.
    Very disappointed with samsung watch
    RIP samsung

    My S3 frontier is awful and will not charge to 100% no matter what I do. Genuine charger dock powered from either PC USB, Samsung phone or tablet mains charger, Anker power bank, nothing works. The watch gets to 94% then starts going backwards usually to 89%. This was after many many problems with overheating warnings so I think the battery has been damaged in my watch. Thanks Samsung and farewell Samsung. Changed my Samsung TV, PC Monitor, tablet and mobile phone to other brands as I don't need this unreliable pricy garbage in my life.

    I never make any up-date at this watch,I d'ont let it to do this,is first software on it and run very well, no heating on charge, no erors,and battery run very easy 48h at least.
    I read many and many problems after up-date and my advice is:D'ONT MAKE UP-DATE AT ANY SAMSUNG DEVICE!!! NEVER!!!
    Anyway this watch is my last Samsung product ever! I d'ont want to heare about this name ever în my entire long life! If you d'ont belive me please read problems of many many people about Samsung and up-date and the politics of Samsung about customers,I take your money and bye-bye loser!
