Got the Zh2 SE on June 1st, and I’ve been in love since. I was in the market for a MT10 from a Hayabusa, I had never even Heard of a ZH2 until the same day I bought it. My GF said “hey they don’t have any MT10s here..but you gotta see this Naked Kawasaki”
Absolutely on the money as far as that excitement from you shows. As you know i bought one BECAUSE OF YOU lol, but honestly it is the best bike i have ever owned, it has everything i want as far as electronics, more power than i could ever need, and is so comfortable. It's taken a long time for me to say i have my perfect bike, but finally i feel i have. If anyone is on the fence, don't be, i do often get 150 a tank easily, my average has been 44mpg up to now, but i haven't gone mental every single time, i just enjoy riding it. @Goblin, Please excuse one correction i want to make for you, road mode is full power not 75% Rain mode 50%, traction control 3 Road mode 100%, traction control 2 Sport mode 100%, traction control 1 with improved throttle response etc (i believe) Not being rude Goblin , just helpful i hope. Please keep these up, your vids are excellent! Cheers.
Sounds like it is worth the buy. I'm selling my 17 GSXR1000 for this bike. I'm pretty sure it has everything I want and more at a great price point. But overall I just want to be comfortable and ride more.
I love mine, upgraded from an MT10. Did you know the throttle is heavily restricted in the ecu? 1st gear the throttle plates are never actually open 100% and in 6th gear they are only open 100% at 9k rpm and close at 10k rpm. So a simple ecu flash actually boosts most people over 200hp at the wheel where stock is 170. I love this bike, great vid!
@@patrickm9785 there isn't a limit, but at the wheel it's like 170ish hp. I was just saying they restrict the bikes throttle response as it's never 100% open. So full throttle is more like 60% because of how they program it. You need an ecu flash to get all of the bike you paid for
@@Turbo495 Cheers, yeah from all accounts this is an amazing bike, only thing is apparently has cast pistons... careful how hard you push that tune! would be wild with a set of forgies but $$$
I am not aware of any stock motorcycle that doesnt have the same restrictions from the factory. Almost all sport bikes are heavily restricted from the factory @turbo495
Tryna see if I can get a good deal on one….been looking at a lot of videos and everyone I watch if this bike makes me have such an excitement and need for it. I hope someday I’ll have one because this beauty is a beast
Ive been riding a 2012 ZX10R for the last 4 years and got just got myself a Z H2 SE. First thing that will surprise on the Z H2 is the torque. It just pulls. Its not as dramatic as a sportsbike revving to 14 or 15k rpm but since you are sitting upright this thing feels like freight train. Second thing that suprised me was the the way the bike behaves. Its very neutral handling bike unlike the ZX10R which is razorsharp in the corners Z H2 is more forgiving and more relaxed. Lastly if you get the SE version apart from the amazing electronic suspension you get Brembo front brake master cylinder which you can basicall do an emergency stop with only one finger.
Excellent review, I have an all black one and 100% confirm everything you have said, also for me being 6'2' it fits really nicely, done 2000 miles in 6 months from nearly new, the deal I got is another story 152 miles used other owner not sure if he was scared or too much to be a play thing, but it is really a marvel of engineering, fitted a TomTom next to the dash and feel like I could go any where now and probably will.
Been riding a z900 year round for 2 years. Thinking about getting the H2 and starting on road mode. It's actually better seating position than the 1000sx.
Great video. I am thinking hard about getting the ZH2 SE here in America. My last bike was a Z1000 which I sold last year. You said this was a good commuter bike, interesting! My Z1000 was horrendous on the highway, but super fun in street conditions like city dwellings and point to point zip and go. Does your Z have the buzziness at highway speeds? And, is there any aftermarket small luggage bags to put on the back? Before my Z1000 I had a ZX14 which I installed GIVI bags onto it, was a lovely addition. Again, good video.
Thanks for the nice review. I have the same feeling as yours when I 1st tried the ZH2 of my Friend. When I drove the bike. I was overwhelmed and surprised about the power and good handling of the bike. The sound of the Supervcharger is music to my ears. Haha. 😅 The 2 things that my concern about the bike is the Weight of it because it has 240 Kgs. If you are a small rider it might not compliment you. The consumption of the bike is high. It is a high Horsepowered bike and it has a supercharger. I think for me it is a given fact that when you push the bike to its full potential. It will consume a lot of gas and it's normal. Because of my experience from the bike. I want to have it. Overall Kawasaki Bikes are reliable and amazing.❤🏍🏍😁
Just bought a brand new one Yesterday, and trading in my Ducati xdiavel, hope I have done the right thing as loved the Ducati, but its just too hard for uk country lanes as the suspension is so bad. Insurance is going to be a hard pill to swallow but looking forward to picking her up next week 😀
@anassaadaoui1596 Hi, its insane! I have had a LOT of litre sports bikes, but this thing is just brutal!! You can get in trouble very quickly as if you pin it in 3rd the front tries coming up and you lose a bit of steering. How many miles are you getting out of a full tank? I was looking at one of these bikes (even put a deposit down) but must admit although i dont buy a bike for fuel economy, i was concerned i would spending most of my day at a petrol pump. Ideally if i could get 140- 150 miles out of a tank i could live with that, but 100/110 miles on a 19 litre tank would make it a very expensive hobbie. Would like to know your feedback.
I’m getting this for my first bike. I don’t care what people say. Especially those echoing words that don’t belong to them when they’ve never ridden the bike or know who I am…
You’ll be fine if you practice the basics and learn how the bike behaves. The way it’s being described here. It would be good for beginners because it doesn’t have a real twitchy throttle response, which can be the downfall of a lot of bikes in a commuter situation.
Google says the Z H2 is 0-60 3.4 secs, a 98 ZX-9R, 0-60 3 secs, 17k V 2K...15k change. Rose tinted glasses working overtime my friend? I get its a status symbol, but its slower off the line than a 98 carb Ninja. How is that worth spending 15k more and losing bragging rights at the bike cafe..?
Ever heard about torque? ZX-9R torque is 101Nm, this bike does 137Nm of torque at 8500 RPM, which it reaches absurdly quick. 90’s bikes are awesome, don’t get me wrong but they’re nothing compared to bikes 30+y further
Zh2 getting .4 seconds behind is probably a result of a high torque, the bike will roll back if it allows more acceleration in lower gears, you can never compare a naked to sports bike, different designs- mapping and purpose. I would say if they both are at 60 and start the race then the zx 9 won’t even catch the dust. You may get better numbers if you switch off wheelie control and traction control but you gotta have exceptional skill and huge balls. 😂
