      i thought this was a win for Ukraine until i saw a Ukrainian angry about it. he explained to me what im not hearing on the mainstream media, why this is a joke. Ukraine did not send their best to fight Russia's best at the front in Donbass because the Ukrainian high command believes it would be a waste. if your best cannot fight and win or at least stabilize the front then the war is lost. its already lost since Zelensky is talking about a just peace. Ukraine sent their best against Russia's worst, their border guards, police, territory defense, old men, and still could not continue the blitz. Ukraine blew up 2 bridges which is bad news. they do not intend to keep going north, they intend to go west at the border. the most valuable thing that was captured was grocery stores, no military value at all. He got loud at this part. we are losing our best against their worst. we are not destroying Russia special forces, or even regulars but old men. losing our best young men and material for their old men. if i know this so does Putin. he is probably laughing his ass off in the kremlin about this, he might have been hoping for us to do something stupid like this in the first place. who ever came up with this plan is stupid just like the failed counter offensive without air superiority.

    I have been wondering when these bridges would start to get hit to create this cauldron, been measuring these areas for like a week now, but I'm guessing like many others I've avoided discussing it until Ukraine springs into action.
    Ukraine expressed some irritation during last year's summer offensive that pro-Ukrainian online theories were often getting so widespread that they were blowing operations that otherwise could have flown under the radar longer.
    There's another thing I have.. let's call it a tinfoil hunch about, from current events, but I don't want to say anything just in case it happens to be the case.
    It's possibly something that could do a lot of damage to Russia and probably something the Ukrainians are hoping people won't start widespread theories about until the Russians figure it out themselves. So there's no point in discussing it yet, really. :)

    “Russia is being forced to use conscripts to defend Kursk, that’s what gave them problems in Afghanistan”
    I think the problem with Afghanistan was that Russian conscripts were used in Afghanistan, and not Kursk. Literally, the entire point of the conscripts & legal framework is defending Russian territory
    For the same reason using the National Guard in Afghanistan & Iraq is leading to Soviet like consequences in the US. #DefendTheGuard

    This cauldron move is somewhat similar to your earlier predictions Torsten. It will straighten the front line and provide a natural barrier that should also help reduce security / manpower needs in this area.

  • @robertdickson9319
    @robertdickson9319 24 дня назад

    I think Ukraine missed a golden opportunity to really make this a "cauldron" battle by not crossing the border simultaneously at Tetkino (Tyotkino) and/or points further north and east of the city to press the Russians in the cauldron from the west. While the territory south of the Seym river might eventually fall into Ukrainian hands, they really should be pushing from all 3 sides to bring the battle to a quicker conclusion.

    Many elements with respect to this offensive/operation are to say the least nebulous and incongruous!
    Weakening frontlines that are buckling under the pressure of Russian assaults/advances is an unusual tactic!
    The Ukrainians were scheduled to receive increased material assistance from allies by now, ammo & equipment,
    however there does not appear to be a substantive difference in their ability to utilise aforementioned in such a way
    that they are even containing Russians along an ever shifting/shrinking FEBA!?! Be well and stay safe

    Russia has lost too many soldiers in the Ukraine WAR. There is hardly anybody left to send

    • @CaedenV
      @CaedenV 25 дней назад +2

      I mean... this is factually not true. Russia is a big place with a large population, and the number of people dedicated to the war effort is still smaller than people who skipped town when the war started. They can sustain the current level of losses for a decade before they 'run out of people' to send. The Ukrainian war is less deadly to the Russian population than covid was, if that gives any sense of scale.
      That being said, the demographic collapse has been in motion for a long time, and 'peak russia' happened a long time ago. Every few years Russia invades a neighbor with a younger population to inject into their own failing demographics to kick the can down the road. Those people then become depressed (because they are part of russia), stop having kids, and russia has to find the next population to induct. They can slowly die off, keep capturing young people, or bring the inevitable on faster in the attempt to capture young people. It seems that russia is dead set on options #2 and #3.

      Western military statements say the same thing as the Russians themselves. They're getting over a thousand volunteers every day. They're offering a very high salary and support for the war is very high.
      This constant talk of conscripts is nonsense.
      There may have been conscripted soldiers in this area as conscripts are used as border security. Regular soldiers are there now and growing in numbers every day.
