I travel on the QM2 quite a bit to get from New York to the Uk and back and I can quite honestly say,I've watched a lot of videos about her on here and that was one of the best. Nice down to earth informative video. Hope to see you on her someday.
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this video. I have been trying to do some research and this video has really helped and made me excited about planning a trip from Southampton to NY. Safe travels.
Thank you for this! I personally could probably never afford the higher priced rooms (at least not now) but this room seems to be exactly what you pay for: a place to rest when you aren’t out and about on the ship. Love those small details (tea kettle!) and seeing as how I’m a small person (only 5’6”) I feel this room would actually feel large for me. Again, great video, very informative; hope it was a lovely crossing! :)
Though I book Queen's Grill accommodation, I have seen the Brittania rooms. The cabin you showed is a "hull" balcony stateroom. The Brittania cabins on the upper decks of the ship have a glass bulwark instead of the steel. The important difference is even though the glass bulwark cabins are more expensive and higher up in the ship, the balconies they have are almost two feet narrower than the steel bulwark cabins. It seems to me that if you don't mind being on one of the lower decks and don't mind having a steel bulwark, the hull balcony cabins like yours are the ones to have if you use the balcony at all.
Yes, the balconies are larger, and I believe the cabins are as well on the lower decks (4, 5, and 6). You also have the advantage of more privacy in the sheltered balconies as it's virtually impossible for anyone on a lower deck to catch a glimpse of you on your balcony or even at the end of your cabin.
Thanks for the review. We're on QM2 next year so really useful. I enjoyed your QE reviews as well. I like the informal and authentic style so please don't change it.
Thanks for the kind comment. If you are on the QM2 next year we just uploaded another video about some of the things to do ruclips.net/video/jbVIhghUVps/видео.html enjoy!
I do love the down to earth oral tour Thumbs down in the start do to feeling I was a bad person for only being able to be in a Brittania stateroom. However after watching more into the video there was no negative intent in your description. Rule 1 I always showed up twenty minutes early and waited outside the doors for Tea Time. Best way to enjoy wonderful music, snack food and amazing deserts, as well as a cup of tea. Also my last time stayed in a Single Cabin very nice. I do cry when viewing shower curtains... perhaps we can all chip in for shower doors one day. Post Script I subscribed to your channel and found that you like Classical Music as do I, very nice.
Thank you most informative. We sail on QM2 on 11/11/18 NYC, Southampton, NYC. We were advised for a Fall or Winter sailing to book a mid-ship lower deck stateroom just in case it gets rocky. Looking forward to our 22nd cruise, however, or first Trans-Atlantic.
Who lives in their Cabins on a Cruise? Poops, showers and sleeps, that's about it. Even this size cabin looks like overkill to me lol. Great vid, please do more.
I guess if you’re an introvert and need alone time to recharge your battery. I’m sailing on Queen Mary 2 in May 2022 and will be going back to my cabin often for that reason.
I'm in my room a lot...to read, sleep, recharge, etc. I don't go on a cruise to make friends, I go to relax. Haven't tried Cunard yet, and I hear their lecturers are mostly wonderful and informative. On the cruises on other lines, the lecturers are usually long-time-retired military, or journalists. Those who don't have skin in the game anymore. So boring. This makes me want to give Cunard a try.
Love the editing, looks like your hubby is cutting you off when he's heard enough of a certain subject LOL... your video's really remind me of my own channel..nice one !
As you mentioned your luggage stowed in the closets, I wondered if you're aware that the beds are designed with enough clearance to keep your luggage underneath. For any potential passenger worried about running out of closet space, they should note that their suitcases need not use up any precious wardrobe space.
You did give some information missing from other videos which is much appreciated, but I do think you need to up the resolution and perhaps think through your dialogue and editing a bit. The video was blurry and some of the scenes were cut mid-sentence. Thanks for posting.
Mate , this is probably 5th class , so get over yourself . If you can't afford it , go elsewhere . Inside cabins probably £1200 one way . Hope you aspire to one day go 1st class .
If you prefer a glass balcony they are available but having experienced both I believe the in hull balconies on deck 4, 5 and 6 are superior for transatlantic crossings. As for storage space there is loads, our last back to back crossing we took 5 suitcases and 3 large hand luggage and easily accommodated it all in the space available. Empty cases can be stored under the bed.
@@bantcm Hi Ben. Would you please explain *why* the hull balcony cabins are superior? Your reasons might help future passengers decide what deck they'd like to book. Thanks!

As a two time New England - Canada and return person how are the seas when you do the Trans-Atlantic runs......
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this video.

Good video, the only thing I would add is that there is room under the beds to store empty cases.
Lovely review. Wonderful presentation style. We’ve not been on all that many cruises and never on Cunard. But well done you, really.
Thanks very much. I'm planning to go transatlantic when I retire in just under 2 years, and this has told me a lot.
You are a doll. Really enjoyed your commentary.

Thank you very much for this video, it is informative and I do like your presentation :)
Love your reviews. So honest and informative.
Thank you. That is what we try to do. Give people an honest opinion about Cunard.
We are sailing on this ship in a Brittania Balcony stateroom on 11/11 NYC, Southampton, NYC. Very informative. Thanks so much!
You are welcome - enjoy the cruise. I know you will!

Thank you for a wonderful and informative video. One of these days, I shall make the crossing on QM2.
Thank you for the comment. Please do try one of these crossings. The journey is an experience to be remembered forever
Loved your video. Thanks for posting it.
Thank you for the kind words

Videos are very helpfull.. cheers to the both of you!
Great video. We've got that cabin on qm2s 21 night cruise next July so so excited.
Have a wonderful trip - it is a fabulous ship to sail on.
Thanks so much! I’ve booked the sam3 sailing in#ide room, but I am a fresh air FREAK! Can you have the balcony door open for sleeping? Cheers.

I am so excited we might go on a Christmas trip!
I think I was with you on this cruise!!
Great video! Thanks for sharing. Thats the room I want

Nice video
Very informative 🤠😀
Thank you. I needed this information.
I would love to go on this ship, looks good
Just came back from a 7 night cruise. We had 5027 just like in this video. Was fine for me
3rd class seams fine to me, what's offered in this class and what is available
Will the lifeboats be seated by class?
stay in your room with lifejacket on and we shall call your name.... lets hope that day never comes.
Oh mother!
very well presented
Is that noise in the background the engines?
May I ask what cabin you are in?
We may do around the world. Is it very formal.
Really dislike excess formality.

Cross between a balcony and mini suite on Princess Grand Class ships
What's dining like?

I totally agree with you. Alas, we were there to enjoy the cruise and did this, and the others, ad-hoc. Next cruise, we will be more mindful.
I am voting for John Howard.
What room number was this?
First cruise with Cunard in Nov 2020 onboard Queen Elizabeth, in an Obstructed Balcony
I'm considering doing a 16+ day, round trip, with Cunard in either 2020 or 2021.
Looks Comfortable
They have a gym? Or a walking path ? I like to get in exercise ...
There is both a gym and a walking path
Use this cabin type every time - superb...
According to RUclips captions this is a video about "q-not chips" 😂
balcony with not real open balcony??
What date was you on the ship
We left NYC July 20th
I never want to feel 2nd class, and this does!

My choice every time....
oh my, the rooms are super small. I didn't like it.
👍🏻
360p ??? sorry we have 2018 !!!
This video is clearly not made made for mariners.
No it was made for customers
Hello Do you have Facebook
Please i Want somme informations
yuck :( it doesn't look like fun at all.
Not much storage space. Cheap half bottle of fizz. Not a true balcony. It’s a slit in the hull.
If you prefer a glass balcony they are available but having experienced both I believe the in hull balconies on deck 4, 5 and 6 are superior for transatlantic crossings.
