Hey, our folks are finally meeting up with the phenomenal tribe... THE ZULUS! So proud of our brother Phil for making those trips available. Shalom family ✨️!
I thought that looked like Phil on the thumbnail. Just clicked to make sure. Haibo Malume Phil! 🥰😄
I agree. We have plenty of people who have trips to Egypt and Ghana. 🫡 to Brother Phil for expanding the options for guided history trips
Right after Hurricane Katrina, we were thrilled and honored to have real actual true Zulu warriors and dancers during the annual ZULU Social Aid & Pleasure Club parade on Mardi Gras Day. They were flown in from South Africa just to be an important part of our Carnival Traditions. What a site behold in New Orleans with all the devastating scenery. The actual Zulu warrior dancers completely saved the Mardi Gras Carnival spirit with their high kicks and hard stomps with circling flipping and frontal jumping everywhere. Thank you Zulu people for that amazing experience.
Can't wait to visit SA, proud of yall who have already traveled there to meet the brothas and sistas there..✊🏽
Peace brother. I was in Durban last August it's absolutely beautiful, our brothers and sisters literally black heaven ❤️
While in Durban, we saw the remnants of a burned building. We were told the Zulu's sent a msg to the Chinese. They leave it there as a reminder.
Oh , that's a must see !!!
@@marvl6472 For sure!
excellent
Baba Credo warned us not to do that
Hmm I was in Durban last August 🤔 maybe I missed it.
The Zulu dance is one of the hardest on the continent in my opinion.
Imagine seeing and army of 40,000 warriors with this much rhythm and tenacity. A thing to see and that would strike absolute fear in the eyes of those who are not use to such spirited rhythm and connection to the land. To this day the white man fears black people all over the world unlike no other. They work hard to cut us off from our ancestors and power. They are terrified of us deep down with in themselves
Zulu's and South africans are my favorite blk folks love from the FBA fam
Wow!!! You’re not just a RUclipsr? You’re a real one now. A traveler. Lil man stole the show. The way they allow him to lead is incredible
Black Americans in Africa is very interesting. There's even more similarities in West Africa between the two.
We had an amazing time on that tour
This was also awesome Phil. I'm excited to go to Africa. Looking forward to visiting soon.🥰👑👑🙏 Coming from America.🇺🇲👑
Phil great podcast about the

Come back home bo zalo we miss you, mina ngingu Gatsheni uboya benyathi, angiholi ngiyalapha ngentando ka mvelinqange, nguwu mgoni
I feel my roots 🙏🏽 to the heart ❤ thank you Phil
Our ancestors were praying before they do anything but today blacks don't pray at all God bless you all ❤❤
@user-em8pb1ql3z that's not true we still pray even before certain rituals, God is God even our ancestors called upon him ,nobody is bigger than God, people think that people who practice their customs don't believe in God I'm not sure where they get this information
They didn’t pray to the same god of the Christian bible so god is not god. What god are you talking about? My ancestors did not subscribe to that biblical nonsense
❤ Didn’t even realize I had a smile on my face during the whole video. I’m just smiling away. thanks so much for sharing. I loved every minute of it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Uncle Phil..perfect for this channel..we need more of these vids.i felt something just watching this video
me too.
When I went to Ghana, the same thing.
@@anobserver9658 similar not the same.we are not the same
@@kagimanye1757 In essence you are, but language and location makes things different. In this instance I'm talking traditional ways.
@@anobserver9658 you missed m point. We are. And very similar but, we will never be the same
@@kagimanye1757 You missed my point. I was referring to the people still living their traditional life and honoring their ways. Although I do understand not wanting to be compared to someone else, no offense was intended.
Lol it’s the accent for me!!😂
Great discussion and podcast today brother Phil 💪💯
If you haven’t seen the movie Zulu it is a must watch especially the intro there are two different version of the same battle recommend watching both amazing movie I hope they remake it but the same enthusiasm for Africa in the 80s isn’t the same today what a shame
Beautiful traditions. It’s wonderful that they preserve their culture.
I love this. This is beautiful. This should be our norm.
THIS IS REALLY DOPE!!!! WOW

Love it. The dancing reminds me of the soul train/ dance lines we use to have. ❤❤❤
The characteristic masculinity is missing from the lead Zulu dancer.

Please stop it !
@@lolakepi stop what black people are Israelites Hebrews Jews in this world
Please stop with this, we're South Africans and we don't appreciate this wave of people telling us who we are. There's no issue in you guys identifying as such but please don't project that on us, we already had white people kill oyr folk in the name of trying to determine whom we are and now those who look like us are doing the same. It's disrespectful to say the least. You're the Jews or Israelites the chosen people, not us.
Yes, please stop!

The real amasabatane
i can't get them to answer one question i have.. what does hoosie/ hooshie mean. they say it all of the time. i watch their dance videos daily. look up the ingoma dances.. they really get busy.
Khosi ... I think that's the word you looking for not hoosie
Khosi means king if that's what you are trying to say
It's nkosi and it means King
I think what u hear is "Usuthu" which is basically a zulu war cry but in a way of praising the tribe ...Some will say "Habe" the the group will say "Usuthu"
I think he is trying to say (huu shii) like when they are lifting their legs and dancing. I think its just a chant with no specific meaning
🧐👍🏿
This was great to watch. The entire dance part, I had a smile on my face.
(Phil, how do you come back to these “US” after that?)
I’m not a citizen of South Africa as of yet.
They need to get their gold oil and diamond money flowing.
@@couponnation that's what we should be focusing on, not single and dancing...we can sing and dance later..
I quess they will come back claiming they have zulu ancestry now.
They wouldn't be entirely wrong though.... when it comes to AAs ancestry, everything is possible!
@@davismcmillian6790 everybody in SA knows that they're West Africans (Nigerians) and they know that too. There's nothing wrong in admiring each other dude. Everyone knows South African blacks never practiced slavery instead slaves were imported from Malaysia, Indonesia and India. Relax, people are pretty clued up nowadays about history.

Ok so she didn't explain right by saying you have to go to school to be a traditional healer, you must be a chosen one you have dreams from young age and see things other people don't see . That's what the school is for to teach you how to communicate with uncersters and how to handle the things they show you .That's what she means by saying you just don't decide to go to that shcool only the chosen ones
Not all of us believe in people who have passed away
That's okay...none is forcing you to believe in ancestors. You can believe in anything you want.

This is how I see this worshipping or believe turn make us have a culture nd costumes in this life .ceremonies that we have most are for the things we believe ng worshipped in as nje ngabantu we been having wars things changed we do not live as those who came before us
I'm not going to that culture practice.
That's a wrong presentation of the traditional Zulu dance. Why was that guy wearing that mini skirt? and those moves he taught are a bit feminine. Why use drums? Maybe it's because it's a show. Most of the traditional Zulu dances don't use drums just voices and clapping of hands.🤔
We are not African.
No thanks! I heard how they treat Black Americans!
Tell us what we don't know.I hope u don't confuse us with Nigerians n Ghanaians.
@@tnamr5652 I'm good on the whole continent.
@chinesefood777 We need lots.of love as Africans. It is a shame these days people from Africa with all the knowledge of Ubuntu don't respect AA especially Nigerians or Ghanaians. Ubuntu means respect all human beings.
@tnamr5652 If it's so great in Africa, why are all of them running here? To suck the blood of oppressed Black Americans. Question: Africans can come to America and become Supervisors on job sites. Can Black Americans go to Africa and prosper or become Supervisors on job sites there? I doubt it!
Good stay there... African Americans are having good times in SA with their people!!!
You mean the black Americans that said they weren't african Americans? The same ones who said they were african descent? The same ones that called us african bush boogies? The same ones that said africans and Africa were dirty, underdeveloped, and we lived in huts? We africans didn't forget
Yup smh but also we Africans gotta keep it real we gotta check the ones that talk bad about black Americans because they are used to justify anti African hate
@user-ul5uh4xp2q the problem is media shows us only the horrible stuff about Africa and not the good things. Then for us black Americans media shows us as criminals of all sorts of things. They never show the good things.
I once heard a black man from New York who moved to Africa a few years back that this was the best move he ever did. In Africa he said his whole entire being felt like he was home and accepted. That's a beautiful thing to hear.
@@Miss_Jamz 👏👏👏
The problem were the media.colonisers showed the world that there is nothing in Africa but was their game so peoples can believe that Africa is dirty so they can continue to steal resources.they talked bad about Africa while the white peoples live their best life in Africa.so I can not blame African Americans .I blame western media
@@user-ul5uh4xp2q bruh black Americans are victims(we all are, of the same people). We need to be more indulgent and open to them. I hope you are as intransigent with Yts, the actual enemies of BLK folks.
