I got rid of my 990c for the htA9 and Iv regretted it the big sub that you can get with the Sony is just not good. The spacial and hight effects might be A little better but it’s not worth it for no center and lack of base.
Great review, I was holding out for your review of the 990D but since I have a 2022 Sony TV I cannot benefit from the front surround frames which is a deal breaker for me, thanks for clarifying that important point😢
Also do u think for a small bedroom, I should get 2 frames? I'm mostly sitting right jfnront of the soundbar so separation Shouldn't be a big deal right? Using it as a pc, work desk. Im getting the top of the line Q990d tv because those are the only with 6.2.4CH 90W. Best tv speakers?
I can’t answer yet as I have not heard them. I’m hopeful but not in a position to offer buying advice other than - you will need a 2024 soundbar and TV to play soundbar, tv, and frames sound at the same time and in a coordinated manner
Ok. I'm really excited for the frames and how they work with the rest of the Samsung systems. I'm just hoping that there'll be distinct sound separation with the additional frames and not simply enhanced loudness only, if u guys know what I mean 😅
Yeah I do expect that they will assist in distancing channels and that they will be directional … I don’t think they will merely increase the volume … but the total channel count is not being advertised … and no other guy than me - ( 1 dude channel - only explanation for why I would be in front of the camera).
Do you need the TV if you just want to setup all the speakers with a projector and create an amazing surround system? Will the picture frame speakers work with the surround system alone?
The TV is the hub that allows frame and SB to work together … frames will not work with a projector unless maybe it’s a Samsung projector with MY24 Q-symphony built in. You can attach a single frame to a projector via BT for basic playback
Hey Daniel! I recently got the Bose 900 sound bar without the sub nd the surrounds. I ran the adaptiq. Played some content and found out the adaptiq toggle was off in audio settings even after calibration. I turned it on and found out that doing so turns the base way down, although improving the overall sound. Even increasing the base to 70 when adaptiq is ON doesn't really gives the base that I was getting when adaptiq was turned off with just +10 on base. Should i run the calb. again or u know a workaround?
Excellent video as per usual! Samsung still not allowing a dual sub setup is such a missed opportunity. I wonder if the drivers in the frame are the same as the soundbar's, Q Symphony sounds pretty meh due to driver mismatch, you can easily tell timbre is off.
I may have missed it but will the music frame pair up with the 990c as well? Also would the music frames sound be hindered when mounted on a wall since it will probably be flush against it?
@@neverenoughtechhold on so you can’t pair both at the same time if you have both 2024 tv and 2024 sound bar?? That would make this useless in a home theater set up
What Samsung should do is make a mini soundbar like the Polk audio magnifi mini but with the rear speakers from the 990 soundbars and offer the rear speakers separately to connect to the soundbar as front stereo speakers or a full system with the four satellite speakers and soundbar using two if the satellite speakers for front left and right speakers and the soundbar as center channel.
Rats.. I was hoping the Music Frames could be paired up with the soundbar. I have way too many TVs already and can’t justify buying a 2024 Samsung just to play around with this. It is a cool idea though and I can’t wait to see how it all sounds once you get your set up.
I bought a smaller version so I can replace a monitor - yeah seems like Samsung is going all in on Q-symphony as a tech to expand sound and the engine is going to live in the TVs - and (this is not unique to Samsung) every year a new tv and sb will be required to unleash the full potential … where perhaps a software upgrade would be sufficient - though I’m not an expert on the different chip sets that may be being updated to support expanded functionality
I upgrade from 950A to 990D and the bass is much better, rear speakers are better and sound is more crisp. The 950A would get hotter 990D runs cooler for some reason
Is it possible to connect the q990c to a Ps5 or PC with HDMI, and also connect to the tv? Like a 3 way HDMI? Q990d allows wireless with samsubg tv, but that disables the HDMI.... So
hello, I would like to buy the q990C soundbar for $1040 or it is better to choose the q990D for $1390. Is there a big difference between the two to pay over $300 more. I buy the soundbar in Germany.
Yes works with all 2024 soundbars … but the rear sound would be fed from a 24 tv using a symphony tech not the soundbar. The 24 soundbar has the software to harmonize with the tv and frames not the ability to directly pair more components
Strange that you cannot use this with the Samsung S95C from 2023, but ok, no Music Frame here in my house. Looking forward to your C vs D review, as I am still on HW-Q950T with sometimes drop outs
There was at least a software upgrade in 24 Q symphony that enables cooperation in a larger ecosystem. Though I suspect this is an upgrade that could be pushed to older models … I have not read about any upgraded chip set over the last few years that would suggest they can’t
can you verify if the music frame works with 2023 tv's just in case as I have a S90C TV and Q990C soundbar. I would consider the music frame if it works with the Setup I mentioned and it would be helpful. thank you
For the ultra setup I discussed it requires a 2024 version of Q-symphony and other requisite pairing software … so 99.9% sure it won’t work. I can test them with my 22 frame tv - don’t have a 23 Samsung tv.
just asked a sam operatior if it will be possible to connect the frame /2 pieces/ with S95B and Q990B and they said it will be possible for all them to work together. Cant wait for your review! @@neverenoughtech
I am working on a full frame set up. I have a 50" frame, 2 music frames, and a soundbar + sub HW-S801B. I was hoping Q symphony would connect them all together but it is not working. I was hoping to connect the 2 music frames to the soundbar and then run with the TV using Q symphony. Can you help? Samsung support can't seem to grasp the idea of this full Samsung Frame setup.
@@neverenoughtech That's unfortunate. That will make my 2 frames useless in the room with my Frame TV where obviously it looks well. I went with the minimalistic HW-S801B to match the look as well and it sounds better then the music frames. Still hoping there is an option where q symphony or wifi can connect all 3 components somehow as a group and possibly tailor it based on speaker location. Good luck when you receive yours next week. Great devices! I wish the frames where digital to match what's displayed on the Frame TV. That would be awesome.
Unless all three pieces are 24 MY and running the 24 MY version of Q-Symphony - you won’t get all three playing. The best you can do with the frames without a 24 TV which acts as a Q-symphony hub is play them as single speakers or connect one with a tv over BT or WiFi (if it’s a higher end MY 22 Samsung tv or higher) and have tv sound come out of a single speaker. To make it work you really got to invest in Samsung 2024
Hi man, I currently have a frame tv connected via earc to a soundbar S801B. Were you not able to connect both soundbar and music frame via wifi? Does q symphony is not allowed in that setting? thanks for your answer, I am struggling to find reviews about this.
I knew you'd be crazy enough to purchase all the gear to make this absurdly delightful set-up a reality! I must confess my annoyance at Samsung..while I appreciate their need to drive sales, having compatibility ONLY with 2024 gear, leave a sour taste. For past few years, Samsung unveils new features ONLY for newest model year. There's no reason they can't include some older version.. Heck the 990 b, c , d are really the same. And aside from insane folks like you, not even the most ardent feverish tech crazed person would upgrade a 2023 flagship TV a year later.
The increments are not worth upgrading for generally … but perhaps the accumulated benefits make sense after 5 years … but it’s frustrating that they are wysiwyg systems with limited potential beyond what you see day one
Hi, I got exposed to your channel just lately. I love your content. In regards to the vid, but a different setup, Do you think It would be possible to run a similar setup but with Sonos? (arc+sub+2 era 300 +2 Symfonisk speakers on frontstage?)
Sonos Arc with four Era 300s and two Subs ... Nakamichi Dragon Slayer? ruclips.net/video/yNQsHL6l8NY/видео.html Keep in mind only one pair of speakers can officially cooperate with the arc the other pair would group but play all the sounds (front and back)
Is there a difference between Samsung's hdr + and hdr pro? The 65 inch doesn't get the pro Only the 85 inch Q900d gets Supersize Picture Enhancer. What the heck is that,? I'm assuming it up scales or like fine tunes native 8k content?? Since the gen 3 ai chip up scales content to 8k
I'm having a dilemma. On 1 hand, i wanna get the Q990D + frames. On the other, i read reviews about the new LG G4 TV being a potential winner, but i wouldn't be able to get G4 if i get the Samsung Soundbar - no Q Symphony... So I'll be forced to get the new 2024 Samsung TVs but not sure which series is on par with LG G4 equivalent.
Get Q990d like I'm doing 4k 240hz gaming, (my only concern is the latency might not be sub 4ms, which is needed, oelds always have low latency) . Free upgrade to 75 inch from 65 inch, same price. And trade in $600 off any tv 55inch plus cna be broken. In Canada at least. And 30% off Q990d. Combod.
QSymphony is a bit of a gimmick best left off. The center channel on the soundbar are fantastic. The tv speakers are inferior. Not sure how using them with the soundbar is a net plus.
@@mrkhadi1 huh that's not the case with high end tv speakers. The weird ones on the Sony a95l that are through the screen don't match with their hta9. That's different
Inspired by your illegal sonos setup, I've made my own "monster". The complaint about samsung Q990B and C and D is that you can't extend it with extra front speakers. Now with the 990D, we can see this frame thingy coming alive, but i'm unimpressed. I have a philips 65oled708/12 TV that can give me a stereo signal next to dolby atmos bitstreaming to the soundbar (Q990B). So using out this little feature, i've connected a pair of JBL 308P MKII studio monitors to the stereo jack of the TV. I can only say shits and giggles, because holly cow what this "illegal" setup can do. The soundbar is nice itself but lacks power in the midrange and SPL on the highs. Now with some channel level magic, i've matched the two systems on volume levels to complement each other. The two JBL gives musical fidelity, fuller bass, warmer/clearer dialogs and a spectacular front resolution to the already crazy space filling soundbar. Not to mention that thanks to it's significantly faster drivers, it can produce sounds that are otherwise lost with the soundbar only. Basically I've elevated all surround, sub and atmos channels, but i generally keep the volume lower around 14 only. The JBL-s are set in a way that they are just a little louder then the soundbar. I've played around with a lot of versions, but I found this way is the best for my space.
So I'm in Canada. We get insane deals. 30% off any sound system with 2024 TV. Even the frame. So I get Q990d for 1500$ cad. Same price as new q990c. I'm looking at the qn900d 8k, 4k 240hz. $6.5K cad with $600 off if I buy a $40 55 inch tv from a rando. Trade in. 75 inch 8k baby as my pc monitor and gaming. Hopefully the latency is good, I know it's not oled. I love ethics. Took courses at Stanford (morality) during undergrad. My flourishing life eudaimonia, is very much a form of utilitarianism. My moral obligation. I'd love to tell more or discuss
I haven’t heard eudaimonia compared to utilitarianism - maybe I’m not well versed but utilitarianism doesn’t have much to say on how to properly conceptualize the good but rather that we should have as much of it as we can … ?
@@neverenoughtech Aristotle was very much focused ok the concept of self. Community is part of the self. Bettering your community is bettering yourself. They didn't have a concept of morality back then, just virtue. Hence his ethical theory is virtue ethics. Follow the example of the leaders in your community. That is a virtuous life. Focus on sofia, the pursuit of knowledge at the forefronts (he ranks philosophers as #1). That's eudaimonia. My view is that a flourishing life is bettering myself, my family, friends and community, then the world. I posit that's ideal in an utilitarian lens too (mroe ffficient at helping the world whne your self is happy, and self jnckdues community) , my own version of rule utilitarianism. I’m in agreement with your Aristotle comments - and living with virtue is a critical piece of a flourishing self and broadening the radius is a natural progression. I would say promoting virtue would fulfill the charter of utilitarianism naturally - my concern with utilitarianism is that it doesn’t have a trie sonum bonum built in and if attached to faulty moral assumptions - in practice - it can lead to great misery. Where virtue alone would never do that. Sloppy thoughts … but I’m a good ole uncle Aristotle fan
@@neverenoughtech the fallacies of bentham attempting to calculate everything, eudaimonic calculus. That can lead to many a disasters from good intentions. Or even know how to compare shrot term gains vs long term gains. Is it right to sacrifice millions of humans currently, sending them into privation, because we ban them from natural oil and gas? Because we predict climate change in 100 years will affect more people. But what if we're wrong? I can easily see the predictions being off. How does one justify these decisions? In an utilitarian method, it might be correct to make less decisions when knwodlege is not of a certain threshold of certainty. So you only make very few local decisions affecting your community (hence local government)

I guess they really listened and gave us that front surround 😅
Cool video, keep up the good work🎉 apologies to the angry wallet😅
The listened to that southern gentleman dictator - quick turnaround - he’s very intimidating
Looking forward to the new channel!
I suspect a symphony ecosystem will add subs like the frames for more sub capacity
so once you have a 2024 q symphony tv (qn900D) and 2024 soundbar system Q990D, you can pair both frames in a home theater set up??

@@neverenoughtechhold on so you can’t pair both at the same time if you have both 2024 tv and 2024 sound bar?? That would make this useless in a home theater set up
What Samsung should do is make a mini soundbar like the Polk audio magnifi mini but with the rear speakers from the 990 soundbars and offer the rear speakers separately to connect to the soundbar as front stereo speakers or a full system with the four satellite speakers and soundbar using two if the satellite speakers for front left and right speakers and the soundbar as center channel.
Hi, I want to buy a 2024 TV The Frame. Can I use 2 Music Frames without a soundbar as front rears? Do you recommend this combination?
You can but don’t know how it sounds yet
I want to check out these new Samsung Music Frames
I think there was a significant change between A and B
can i take the tv speakers out pf the equation on q-symphony and use only soundbar plus music frame?
No tv is a must enabler and keep in mind (read the description) only two items are supported so two frames or a soundbar and one frame

Interested in knowing if the music frames work with q800d and can be used as stereo rears?

I was hoping to connect the 2 music frames to the soundbar and then run with the TV using Q symphony. Can you help? Samsung support can't seem to grasp the idea of this full Samsung Frame setup.
Your soundbar has to be a 24D version. I’m not getting my frames until the 12th
@@neverenoughtech Thanks for your help! I will give that some thought.

Combod.
This is a major problem men grapple with that ladies will never understand

Writing this on my phone. This is something I wrote a very introductory analysis on utlitiaribsm and some popular counters docs.google.com/document/d/1D8LwKHljfSCgk7Bas1X9T-ALadfAbrx9ZMcFFPO5lx4/edit?usp=sharing
The #1 fault with utlilitariabusm is the lack of knowledge. We simply don't have newly enough confidence to say what is the best in the long run.
I live in Canada as well, how and where do you see and get those deals?

Yes, if your 24 SB does not have rear speakers (or even has rear speakers possibly) you can pair the frames to the tv for rear sound Q symphony extension. Requires a 24 TV
Too bad Samsung couldn't also design an Atmos frame speaker, as an option for the rear surrounds.
