I don’t know why nobody ever talks about the Bluesound Pulse+. Outstanding sound on par with, if not better than the Sonos ARC, and with Bluesound you can plug in any third-party powered sub. And you always have the option to add a couple of Pulse Flex 2i for wireless surround
I was considering reviewing but … i it seems like the interest is pretty limited … maybe not special enough for the price for most … if i can get more than a single person asking for a review i would consider
@@neverenoughtech I don't think Bluesound has much of the US market, I think Sonos owns that. Bluesound is more popular in Canada and Europe, based on what I've seen. I actually stumbled upon them while doing research. I was replacing a 10+ year old Definitive passive soundbar, and was looking for something that I could plug in my (less than year old) Yamaha sub into. I looked at a few of the higher end units and settled on this one, it's very good, and because I was replacing a 4" high Definitive, the height of the Bluesound was a non issue for me.
I did not realise that the q990b Had 2.1 support and the C only has 2.0. If the 4k source connects to the TV using hdmi2. 1 and sound from TV to q990c uses e arc, would this impact sound / picture? quality?
@@columcreaven8860 it can be a problem if you pretend to use an audio source with uncompressed audio like True HD plus Amos for example. Don't ask me why, but for whatever reason these new TVs with HDMI 2.1 and earc still don't support passthrough of such formats. If you try the way you mentioned you'll end up with dolby digital plus atmos playing in the soundbar, which is way lower quality, night and day difference. You might still don't need HDMI 2.1 passthrough on the soundbar, depending on what you are trying to accomplish, but I will tell you my case. I use a PC with a modern NVidia GPU, so the only way for me to get the best image is to run one cable from GPU to TV HDMI 2.1 port. Then I run another HDMI cable from GPU to soundbar so I can also get the best audio. I purposedly bought a dual HDMI port GPU for this reason. To complicate things even more, Windows OS thinks that if you run an HDMI cable to a device, Windows thinks it is a Screen lol. So I had to buy a small 7" monitor and run an HDMI cable from soundbar to monitor, simply because when windows thinks you have two monitors, sometimes some software you have open will end up on the other screen, and if you have no second screen, good luck in sliding software back to the main screen haha. I have everything under control, but absolutely hate having to do such workaround. HDMI 2.1 4k 120hz passthrough on the soundbar would make my life way easier and less buggy.
Damn I just did some research, and according to what I searched, since 2016, the year that Samsung added rear speakers (along with having the sub and soundbar) to its flagship soundbar (the hw-k950), the sub was 8” and it still remains 8” 8 years later. I really don’t know when they’ll make the sub 10” which is what I want.
Sound bars are for apartments or people that want a minimum foot print and/ or cool looking Sound bar. That why bose and sonos are so popular. Most sub are over kill for a small to mid size apartment. With the upgrade to the Samsung 900D with pictures fame and TV support. Samsung just did what bose and sonos have done. To get u in to there ecosystem. Samsung just needs to get the style of the bose and sonos.
i have the tcl alto 9+ and last years 5.1 flagship surround bar. the alto 9 with the ray danz sounds better than their 5.1. the alto 9 is some of thest diologue ive ever gotten from a bar. of their new model this year isn't way better, then ill keep the one i have or go the klipsch route
Unless you are 100% sure your games and your console can support uncompressed audio, you don't need any HDMI 2.1 soundbar. You could always connect straight to the Tv. I don't mean you, but there's a ton of people who think they need it for gaming but it isn't true.
@@neverenoughtech I do like that they are trying something new, and I do like the modular design. I am interested to see how this system compares sonically to the competition
@@matthewsmith1461 by modular you mean like sonos does? I read reviews of the flex 200 and people are really happy about it. I think the addition of those mini subwoofers in the bar is a great idea.
I don’t think they dropped the ball. They think they can get more return on the form factor investment - and they’re probably right. My new theory, they planned a 5 year cycle with the B acting as mid cycle refresh. Big change next year 2025. They gotta come strong 💪
@@stephenearly4057 they just want to slow down innovation as much as possible since they know people will buy it and that they have the best overall value for money currently so not too much competition for them atm.
990D is just a 990B at this point lmao. Its been nearly the same since 950t. They need imax enhanced, 12 inch sub (or dual 8inchh subs) and maybe an extra height channel on main bar to stay on top of competition. Forget the dragon, that’s not avg consumer product
Wait!!!!!!! I have been waiting to hear something and I didn’t…. Did Samsung ignored the need to add a second subwoofer on the Q990D???? That is practically the only thing I would say my Q990C system needs. Come on, Samsung! 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
We got a 5 year model with a mid-cycle refresh. 25 has to be big. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t offer a separate sub for purchase. Given the cost of some of the competitors, you could charge a few hundred for an extra sub and still be far cheaper
@@neverenoughtech, right!!!! I wonder if anyone has tried to find another one of those subs on eBay and paired it to the soundbar. Of course, I have no idea if the soundbar is going to recognize two subs.
@@revotuberacer I have a rather small area so all I really want is for them to make the sub 10”, I don’t really need a second sub but would definitely be cool to have the option.

I love your channel! Keep up the great work
Those samsung frames are kinda interesting.
That’s my take
Hi all. Can we update 990B to 990C just by software ?
I don’t know - it’s fairly likely
Hey buddy, are we getting that Sonos( Arc, 4×300's,2x Sub) vs Dragon video anytime soon?
👀 ⏲️
Awesome video. When can we expect the new series to hit the market?
Probably most will be out by the late spring
I'd like to see the Flexus system really get beefed up too.
Yes, more beef
It will take a few years, and it will only be on newer TV's (2025+). Unless they release some sort of a connecting box.
Get a review done on this - Loewe home cinema set 553. Fronts and rears alongside the bar.
Doesn’t seem that easy to acquire in the states - looks promising - haven’t heard of it
@@neverenoughtech Yeah, seems to be the way but it does look interesting.
music frame is working = wife never getting mad in all household
Does anyone have some technical information about LG ST10GY? Is it same as LG GX sound bar?
“Thin”
Is there a soundbar with auro 3d?
Not off the top of my head
So... 990B, 990C and 990D are basically the same. 990B here is $849 and 990C is $1300, so I'll just go with B, right?
I’d say B or D if the HDMI 2.1 inputs are important. Not C
I think they are playing to the non YT crowd
I am a gamer and I need a HDMI 2.1 soundbar. Is the Samsung 990D my only option? Sony's sound bars are too expensive.
Klipsch Cinema 800/1200
@@neverenoughtech Unfortunately those don't support 4k 120hz VRR
Unless you are 100% sure your games and your console can support uncompressed audio, you don't need any HDMI 2.1 soundbar. You could always connect straight to the Tv. I don't mean you, but there's a ton of people who think they need it for gaming but it isn't true.
I really hope klipsch bring out a higher model with 9 drivers along the front. The 5 is just not up to par
They’re kinda going back to the drawing board … they need to modernize their fleet. Guessing next year for the flagship
@@neverenoughtech I do like that they are trying something new, and I do like the modular design. I am interested to see how this system compares sonically to the competition
The flex 200 has exactly 9 drivers
@@matthewsmith1461 by modular you mean like sonos does? I read reviews of the flex 200 and people are really happy about it. I think the addition of those mini subwoofers in the bar is a great idea.
Заказал q990c благодаря вашим видео. Благодарю
God Bless Russia!
I’m waiting for Sony to come out with a HT-A10?….with a center channel. But Sony likes to make people wait….or hit them with their “Sony Tax” 🙄
I think the new Sony is probably gonna be a good mix of unique, compelling, and not completely crazy in price (just medium crazy)
🍻let’s go!
🍺
You as usual ❤❤❤❤🌹🌹😍
Nothing as exciting as last year's dragon.
Nope … nor 1300x
Wow... Samsung really dropped the ball... 990D - yawn... And then putting a matte screen on their flagship QD-OLED S95D...
I don’t think they dropped the ball. They think they can get more return on the form factor investment - and they’re probably right. My new theory, they planned a 5 year cycle with the B acting as mid cycle refresh. Big change next year 2025. They gotta come strong 💪
I think they should’ve added these features last year but finally will be pulling the trigger on the Samsung sound bar
@@stephenearly4057 Get an open box Q930B/C and save yourself $800 for 90% of the same performance as the Q990B
I would subscribe again if I already wasn't a subscriber!
But only because of that plant thing at the end
Plants were always meant to spin around all day … I think we all knew this deep down
@@xJay2002 it is not only about SPL; it’s about frequency response and consistency all across the room. That is something you won’t get with only one subwoofer.
Core 1200 with good reviews would be awesome 😂
I wish good things upon Klipsch - they need help with the electronics and software

$769.99 before tax for the q990c on Samsung website with student etc discount. Crazy deal
Samsung did it for the third time in a row. But still they will sell a lot coz of the price performance ratio.
I think in 25 they have to be splashy. But, I’m getting pretty professional being wrong about these things.
Looks like more hot garbage for the moment. Wake me when Sony, Sennheiser, and Sonos roll out new products.

@@neverenoughtech think a lot of people were awaiting ambeo plus surrounds, but maybe IFA will announce it in sept.
We need a new max and surrounds - even if it’s just an update that gives it the ability to connect wirelessly to accessories
@@neverenoughtech 100%. A new max that FIXES the muffled center channel issue though - hopefully better internals/mechanics on a new max .
We need surrounds as well since both mini and plus are capable of using them - assuming this will go for the new max if ever made.
I am planning to buy a soundbar to pair with my LG C2 Oled. My first preference was sony HT-A9, I took the demo and found it to be a bit of an overkill and not so budget friendly.
