- SAUCONY RIDE 17 first run and first impressions review. I have a lot of running history with Saucony’s neutral daily trainer, the Ride, and it was actually my first ever pair of proper running shoes! Over the years I’ve run in lots of different versions of the shoe, however the latest Ride 17 has just gone through a massive update and it now features a full PWRRUN+ foam midsole for the first time. In this video I dive into the stats, breakdown the new construction in a bit more detail and I take the shoes out for their first run!

Loyd, yellows such a great colour for a trainer. When I was 10yrs old ( very long time ago) there was a shoe which was really for girls called the Gola Lady Runner. But it was so cool in yellow most of us at the local 5 aside football league in Basingstoke used them.😃

Running in the Triumph currently I can see me switching to the Ride, I like what Saucony have done over the past few years, this seems to be the direct all shoes are going. Im still going to hold onto my pair of Kinvara 11’s, it’s nice occasionally to run a stripped back simple shoe.

They’d both work well for that but I think the Ride 17 is a bit more Versatile 👍

Looks good, the last couple of models were awful no wonder they were discounted, Noisy foam they would pop as you walk after not long owning them.

@@Run4Adventure I've had the guide 15 and tried the ride 15 same issue on both shoes. You got lucky then or it's a sponsor thing, check out the reviews on sports shoes I'm not the only one. Explains the major upgrade.
Same shoes( Triumph) but different name. But is it wide enough to wiggle toes in it??? Probably No!👍👍👍
The 8mm drop is way better than a 10mm as someone that doesn't heel strike. The heel bevel in the 20/21 gets in the way >:(
