    Bought the Endorphin shift two weeks ago. My first pair of Saucony trainers and I'm very impressed. Did 16 miles straight out of the box and they were incredible. Up to 43 miles now and they can feel a little firm at times but overall I'm happy. Brilliant for my easy/recovery runs.

    They look super comfy. I can also recommend the new New Balance Fresh Foam X more v4. They just make miles disappear. On the first day I wanted to test them on a 10km run, ended up doing 10 miles

    If the durability of previous versions is any indication: nothing to worry about here. I have the 3, ready to replace the 1, but the 1 just doesn’t die 😂 Almost at 900 km now and the upper looks pristine, outsole wear is minimal and the midsole still feels great. Maybe the lighter, softer compound in the 3 affects the durability, but if it comes close to the 1 it’s a tank!

    • @swenderich
      @swenderich Год назад

      As for the difference: the 3 is a bit lighter, softer and the transition is smoother. The ride is pretty similar though, but improved. The 3 is the better shoe, and if you liked the 1, you’ll love the 3. If you hated the 1, I don’t expect the 3 will completely change your mind!

    Hello from Brazil.
    Here in Brazil, Saucony Tenis are very expensive, above the price of other brands, out of the reality of many Brazilians, although they are wonderful.

    Maybe this is the shoe for me. I could use your advice here Loyd. I hate running on asphalt and pavements, mainly because my hips and back hurts on that hard surface. So normally its only trail running and orienteering for me. But it would be fine with a pair of plush and soft shoes for some recovery runs, 10-20 km in slow easy pace. Neutral runner, 2 m tall, 90 kg. I don't care much about the weight on the shoe, just need something really comfy. Saucony, Nike and NB are my favorites.

    Was nervous about trying a different brand after years running with Asics. But after falling in love with the Peregrine 11's last year I bought a pair of shift 3's yesterday and they felt so nice at Eden Parkrun this morning 😀 Also bought the Peregrine 12 for Cousin Jack 😀

    Really keen to try these! The pro 2 has been almost a perfect shoe for me for faster runs, no blisters and just fit my feet perfectly. Im just looking for something for the slower runs to compliement them, really love the look of these and all the colorways 😍

    A good update for sure but if you have Endorphin Speed 3, you really don't need this shoe as Endorphin Speed 3 is pretty much a do-it-all shoe. If you need a high stack recovery day shoe, I think Triumph 20 is a better choice to pair with Speed 3 and Pro 3 but two shoe rotation is good enough.

    • @Run4Adventure
      @Run4Adventure  Год назад +1

      I totally agree Tolunay 👍
      Now that Saucony have made the Speed more of a daily trainer you definitely wouldn't need both. I haven't tried the new Triumph yet but it looks like a good shoe. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊

      Hey, does the Speed 3 make a good walking shoe too?

    • @TolunayOrkun
      @TolunayOrkun Год назад

      @@anjalirawat5378 Well, you can walk in them, and they are quite confortable (unlike some other running shoes) but I think you can find a cheaper walking shoe if you are considering them for daily walking activities. For example, get older model Saucony Triumph 19 as a cushioned walking shoe. You can find them as low as $75.
      BTW, in 2022, Kieran @Manvmiles walked/jogged/run Danube River, sea to source in Endorphin 2 and 3 in 67 days and more than 1800 miles. So, yeah, it works well for walking. 😃

    • @anjalirawat5378
      @anjalirawat5378 Год назад

      @@TolunayOrkun that’s insane! Actually I’m getting a really good deal on them. That’s why I was wondering. Many reviews say that the nylon plate is hardly noticeable in the Speed 3. Also the RunRepeat flexibility scores are better than the Pegasus 39!
      That was hard to believe, but they actually seem flexible and not rigid like other plated shoes.
      Any experience you can share just walking around, can u feel the plate?

    • @TolunayOrkun
      @TolunayOrkun Год назад

      @@anjalirawat5378 I don't feel the plate at all. The foam is quite soft so the plate really works to give some stability and there is quite a bit of foam on top of the plate so the feeling is soft. In fact, Endorphin Speed 3 foam is softer than 2 per my own durometer testing. I cannot guarantee it will work for you, everyone is different, but it works for most people.

    The 4mm drop worries me a bit , my other saucony’s have 8-10mm.
    Did you notice it at all Loyd?
    Nice USA socks by the way 👏👍

    • @swenderich
      @swenderich Год назад +2

      There’s a pretty agressive rocker on the Shift, which makes it hard to compare static drops. I have short and easily aggravated calf muscles and run mostly in higher drops (for example the Triumph). Occasionally I run in the Kinvara (4 mm drop) and immediately feel I have to be careful with those for my calves. Not the case with the Shifts: I’ve run large volumes of easy training in them without ever ‘noticing’ the low drop . I think that’s due to the rocker. Hope this helps!

      It's actually beneficial to run in varying drop and varying stack shoes, so don't let that worry you.
      Running in different drop shoes allows different muscles in your legs to get worked. This means that you are strengthening a wider chain of muscles and stabilizers while also not overworking certain muscles (which can actually lead to injury)
