@HaulYT, How do you like the black wheels? I am torn on if they would just be water spot magnets.
I love them but I goty truck ceramic coated including wheels so they are pretty good at beading water away.
@@HaulYTI love my R1T and have had it since April 1st…couldn’t be more thrilled. My current issue is seeing a video that actually shows someone using the thumb controls, particularly for navigating the center display Driver+ features. I’m sure it’s user error but I just can’t get the right side to control anything but my garage 😏 I looked for your cockpit control video #3 but could not find it??
Rhonda below are my three controls/cockpit videos I made. I don't remember how much time I spend with the wheel controls specifically. It can be a bit tricky but the user guide in the Rivian is quite helpful if you head there. I usually go there for specific questions like how to change the wiper blades and such.

Love the look of the Rivian. Own a Tesla, Volt and Jeep. My biggest concern with an Off road capable electric truck is how limited you would actually be if you wanted to go off road. Obviously can not charge in the middle of nowhere. :). Curious of your thoughts on this and have you done any off roading at all?
Awesome garage first of all. I owned a Jeep Gladiator before my Rivian, loved that truck. I have not been off roading and it would def take the proper planning. I know there are specific Rivian overlanding channels that would be able to answer this question a lot better than me. Sorry I don't have a lot of experience.
You have a point. I was thinking the same. Still the range issue is the biggest concern.
Do you have any issues with a loud AC? I keep hearing about this issue and it makes me very worried about continuing with my purchase. Thoughts ?
I would say the AC only seems loud on full blast but I don't feel it is worse than other vehicles I have been in. It may seem considerably loud b/c there are no other noises in the vehicle. I haven't thought to myself wow this is annoying, but I also live in souther PA where we don't get crazy high temps all the time.
@HaulYT good to hear!! I guess just some people are having issues with the AC. But they dont seem to be getting results from the SC.

@HaulYT R1T. Just like yours!! But i just switched to the dual motor. Large pack yesterday. I was supposed to take delivery last November. But they keep pushing me off. Frustrating, but i figure they don't want to give me the early bird pricing or no SC in savannah, ga. Either way, not mad anymore. I just figure they are getting the kinks worked out. Still love my Tundra
@@JFelix602 amazing. Love Tundras as well never had one but love them in the concrete color. Large pack awesome what is the range for that now? Yea the wait can be frustrating but my experience has been worth it. Love the Savannah area beautiful
I wonder what they do for issues for people like me that live no where near any of their service places?
I am really interested in getting an EV as my next vehicle. I do fear the lack of support for my area, Northern Michigan.
Like I stated I'm about 4 hrs from the closest service center so they always need to come to me bc I refuse to drive to Brooklyn. They continue to open service centers. I'm assuming they would have one near Chicago which is quite a hike for you I'm sure. EVs in general may struggle in your winters though something to think about.
@@HaulYT by struggle I’m assuming you are referring to the loss of range?
I watch a lot of these EV vids and reading the comments it appears that 90% of the population drives across the country on a weekly basis and the other 10% drive through at least two states to get to work daily. Up hill both ways while loaded with a yard of gravel and pulling a 36’ fifth wheel camper with a boat being bumper pulled on the camper. No wonder gas is so expensive.
I’m some kind of freak. Put it this way, I hit 100,000 miles on my van in August of 2018, I think I’m at 113,000 miles now. As long as this thing can pull my 8,000# camper 6 miles or haul a load of firewood 60 miles in the summer that is all I need.
Totally understand which is why I do my videos bc different perspectives of the way ppl live with EVs is important. The EV should def be able to handle what you need. I used to travel a lot for work but now have a quick easy commute so my EV fits me perfectly. If you have any more questions let me know.
When you charge at home at night , lets say its less than 5%, what will be charge % by morning?
My setup at home gets btw 22 - 25 miles/hr charged.

Don't you think the Rivian would look amazing with diamond shaped headlights...like it's badge?! The vertical stack could remain the same with just the LED "pill" shape changed.

@@HaulYT I know right?! There are very few complaints, except for these headlights. If they did change them to the shape of the badge...best headlights in the business. Great channel! Keep the Rivian content coming.
Yea I hear that from ppl as well. They only thing they don't like about the truck is the front lights, but that is one of the main reasons I love the truck. I'm also weird and love weird and different stuff. Thanks for the nice comment on the Rivian content as well. Much appreciated.
Most people will live to regret owning a pure EV unless they have a hybrid or ICE backup.
You could be correct. The adaptation to accept Tesla chargers will be a game changer.

Jon it's the stock market, your guess is as good as mine. Personally I believe in the company's values and the direction they are trying to go which is why I bought a truck of theirs but the world is a complex place because we as people are complex. If I had the answers to the question you just asked I wouldn't be making videos 😂

Ford and GM joined the Tesla charging network and Rivian still lagging behind. Rivian needs their ego in check.
