- 0Where are the Cast of ChiPs 1977 Today?
American TV show CHips first aired on September 15, 1977, and ran for six seasons on NBC till May 1, 1983. The title of the show, CHiPs stands for California Highway Patrol. The show followed two California Highway Patrol Officers, Officer Jonathan Andrew Baker (played by Larry Wilcox) and Officer Francis Llewelyn Poncherello (played by Erik Estrada). In 1998, a TV movie CHiPs 99 was made where both Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox had reprised their roles. In 2017, a movie of the same name was created starring Michael Peña and Dax Shepard. It has been over 30 years since Ponch and Jon rode off into the sunset. So, let’s find out what the cast of CHiPs is up to these days.

I'm still watching it 2021, on charge tv I'm catching some episodes that I missed most of them with Bruce Jenner I quit when Larry left , now it's on about 4-7in the evening I became a fan or let's say I loved new star trek movies with Chris pine who is the lutenant on chips son . Great minds think alike.👍 It had more guest actors that one can imagine, and a car crash with rollover in most episodes , I watch it and rememence about me and mom watching it in late70s I was in middle school loved sharing storys about previous show episodes ,I also wanted to be a policeman they were heroes then .
Great show in its time! Enjoyed watching it with friends.

Lou Wagner had a role on Dragnet (1967-1970) he played various teen roles in the show.

You missed something on Lou Wagner. He played on the tv show Dragnet early in his career. Jack Webb knew how to hire the most talented people for his Dragnet show and Lou Wagner was definitely one of them!!!!
