In the mid 80s I met and became great friends with step tronics.. Rip Harry Berry.. Shout out Plik Plok& Pop Tart.. Popping electric Boogaloo & BRS Came from northern California. Poppin Pete and Boogaloo Sam moved to Southern California in mid 70s..In turn it became the term pop-locking in early 80s.. Note.. Locking and the Locker's came from South Los Angeles in late 60s.. Rip shabadoo and Don cambelock Locking Popping Pop lock..
I was 5 on the on the stage Dancing with Derek & Company in Campbell Village, and it was 46 years ago today on the 4 of July 1976. I remember I came home one day and my lil 3 year old Brother was like we went to the Gong Show Audition with Derek & Company, and they won. I was mad I wasn't there, but I was glad when I saw them on the Gong Show and I wanna say they won or they may have lost the the Legendary Cheryl Lyn if they were on the same show. If they were on the same show, she was the only one that could stop them. I can't clearly remember but if she wasn't then the won easy, and I'm thinking 🤔 they did!
Hey, hey, what's happening with you fam? This is your dude, Mr. Ricky Wilson G. of The Black Resurgents. I want to welcome you to Oakland, California, Town Business. Take what you want from the buffet of boogaloo, and drop your comments below.
Le Twins takes this dance to another level with integrity intact..... what is pleasing to the eye is pleasing!!!!!!!! much respect to the OG's but this expression is not going anywhere and is in no way shape or form in any danger
Jookin come from gangstawalk they just change the name, ogs of gangstawalk came from poplocking, they used king tut - waving - toyman and puppet and pointing and create some footwork moves (buck jumps) and emphasize on sliding gliding etc
What do they need to explain about? It is not the EB movement’s fault that they wanted to promote their dancing to the world. All I listen to are jealous folks who got lucked out because they did not take the chance to promote themselves to the world, back in the 1970s. Besides, these guys have no merit, because they deny that Robert Shields was the one the OG Oakland Boogaloo inspired to be.

Is the Memphis Jook style dance a part of Boogaloo dance? Looks so similar with added flair and style.

LA got some explaining to do
Fresno too. They are famous for inventing top rocking. But Boogaloo is what allowed all of that to happen.

Judging from the quality of their moves, they look pretty done to me.
