You guys made me cry!!! i just came across your channel' cause I love me some SEPULTURA! But to see the way the two of you interacted and goofed around, reminded me so much of my Father and the awesome times we got to spend with each other. I'm 48 now, and lost Dad 3 years ago to Cancer, at a very young 72 years old. Watching you guys reminded me of him, and I lost it. I miss him so much. Cherish your time. It always runs up too soon. This was the music of my teenage years, my goodness, we are getting old 😂😂 Sounds perfect as ever, Sepultura were one of a kind 🥰 That breakdown is one of the best in metal ever 🙆♂ Glad to see father spreding the knowledge to todays generation 🍻
They had quite a few songs where they had killer breakdowns like this. They were doing that before it was cool and eventually made cliché by Nü-metal acts.

Sepultura and Testament both deserve to be mentioned along with the Big4 as pioneers of thrash metal with Exodus as honorable mention and Death as a supreme byproduct.
The point of the big 4 is they helped create thrash. Sepultura were inspired by them and they helped create other things but they shouldn’t be in the big 4 despite them being better than definitely 3 of the bands in the big 4

@THENOBODIESREACTS something I often ponder... If the Big4, Testament, and Sepultura all released their first albums at the same time and they all had the same quality of production, who would land at the top? I say this because they all had great music, but the fanbases and record sales varied.
I notice that other bands were harder, faster, whatever... but Metallica benefitted a lot from having better production early on. Later on when I heard live or remastered versions of some of the older stuff from the other bands I started liking them more than Metallica.

And to think that on this album the band had softned a lot from what it was in the 80s. Nowadays it sounds brutal. But do you know what is even more brutal? Their songs are "Lobotomy" and "Mass hypnosis" from the beneath the remains album.
I love to play people a couple songs from this album and then ask "you wanna hear their HEAVIER stuff??" 😅🤣🤘☠️

Definitely the best metal band ever.. After Max left they were decent but no where near ehat came before.. Best riffs, powerful drumming, great bass playing and unreal guitar work from mr kisser

I don't know why people don't enjoy their later albuns like Against or Nation. Sure, we miss Max, but we have some songs like "Reza" with João Gordo from Ratos de Porão. Or "Who Must Die", my favorite from Derrick.

I think people need to stop obsessing about this "Big #" stuff. It's just Thrash Metal, it's a genre with MANY great bands. If you add Sepultura, you have to add Exodus, if you add Exodus you have to add Testament. You can go on and on. Just respect Thrash as a whole. BTW I got to rage in front of Max at a Soulfly show a few weeks ago. The crowd was nuts, I took a stage diver to the face. Metal is still real though, we have a thriving Thrash scene in The Bay Area even today. A lot of great new bands.
@@Salomon_G Cool if you're into popularity contests. I could really care less personally, and really it's the Bay Area scene that got Thrash started, which Exodus were the kings of. And yes those "other bands" do tours together. Last year we had Testament, Exodus, and Death Angel going on an epic tour. Also got to see Anthrax with Exodus. There's also smaller thrash bands, new and old, doing shows every week. The "Big 4" may satisfy you if you're a casual, but real Thrash fans need more.

Best period I think is between Beneath the Remains, 1989 and Roots 1996. Many bands do the best things in the beginning, but I cant say that about Sepultura. But heck, how I loved Chaos AD when it was released....and the song Territory...soooo heavy. I dont need the speed they had in the beginning

Sepultura, Exodus (my personal favorite), Testament, Slayer, Megadeth - my personal Super 5 thrash bands. Yup, Metallica would make it 6. I was never impressed by Anthrax, not bad, but to me nothing special. A few others up there - Possessed, Dark Angel, Destruction.
Throw in some Kreator and Death for good measure!
