This album is amazing. I used to listen to tons of Sepultura. I got to see Max Cavalera with Soulfly touring the "Dark Ages" album in a venue of probably 100 people. So sick.
I've had the pleasure of seeing thIs original line up. This was my progression from grunge to metal then THRASH. Still makes the hairs on my neck stand up. Yeahh
This was a great era in metal music. Sepultura, Danzig, Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Anthrax, Dayglo, Slayer, Gwar on and on. You got a whole world of insane metal to enjoy man. Not very profound comment but fuck it, it's good for the analytics. 🤘
Sepultura is amazing and just as good as any of the Big 4 of thrash. Beneath the Remains is one of the best thrash albums of all time and you really need to react to it.
That isn´t so simple. There are reasons why big four is what it is. That name came along already from late 80´s. But there could be like "Amazing Four" with four other bands like Sepultura, Testament. Kreator and Nuclear Assault. That would be totaly ass kicking tour.
Late to the party...but as a drummer myself, I remember when Arise was released; my friends and I were jamming it on our way home from the music store (which was a 120+ mile round trip lol I live way out in the country, and the nearest mall was the only place to buy anything metal in those days) and being absolutely amazed; I went back to the store at my earliest convenience and snatched up Sepultura's preceding release Beneath The Remains! Those are pretty much the only 2 Sepultura albums that really impressed me, but they are bangers for sure. Keep rockin' the metal and bashin' the skins, brother 🤘
@@JourneyTheBadDrummer always supportive of fellow musicians and music lovers in general. Yeah lol it was a long drive and, to make things worse, we mostly chose albums based on the band's name or the cover artwork. MTV didn't really show any heavy videos except on Headbanger's Ball (but even then it was a lot of hair metal and usually only the more well known thrash/speed metal bands...if you were into death or black metal you could basically forget about it; I, personally, waited years to see a King Diamond on the Ball haha). And even when you got lucky and found music you liked, there was a very good chance that the production quality would be less-than-ideal (to put it politely). One of the things I most enjoy about the internet is the endless access to music that didn't exist when I was young. I can't imagine being a beginning musician and having such a resource for learning the craft. Since we're both drummers, here are some videos you might enjoy: Alex Rudinger ~ Xenochrist by The Faceless drum playthrough David Diepold ~ Kingborn by Fleshgod Apocalypse drum cover Matt McGuire ~ Dubstep Mix 7 First Fragment ~ Le Serment de Tsion drum playthrough Chris Turner ~ Escapist by Oceans Ate Alaska drum playthrough
do the whole arise album, you will not be disappointed. my fave album!! I lived with a few mates when I was in my early 20s in the mid-90s and we use to call this album "the cleaning album", you could clean the whole house in no time cranking this album. was always on full blast before the rental inspection. hahah
This is from the era when musicians actually cared what they were doing. All these switch-ups you were mentioning, are nothing but the musical part of the narrative to put you right in the zone, the music is almost cinematic. Listen to Hungry by Sepultura, I don't like how the production mixed the sound of the drums but this song it's amazing. Album Beneath the Remains
I guess the main reason, why these people are reacting to an old version with no actually live record and no Eloy is because they just looking what is popular to react, copying the title and just do it, without even notice that the versions are quite different and originally what bring this song to the light is Eloy Casagrande :D I think that's one of the main reason why some channels suddenly choose to react the old version, even drummers, when it's literally no drumcam in here, cause it's the wrong version (the old one i mean).
Dude this is original metal! That’s why it’s FIRE. Welcome to REAL METAL. lol you got along way to go before you have a true understanding of this thing. Keep doing sepultura.
Kriegsmaschine- Residual Blight. Drummer is Darkside (Maciej Kowalski) he and the guitar/vocalist are in another band who are a little more popular and one of my favorites called mgla. They’re from Poland and it’s pronounced mgwa which means fog. Or try Cattle Decapitation-Pacific Grim Drummer is Dave McGraw
Bad Drumer, please react to another Brazilian heavy metal band called Angra. They are from early 90's and still on with some members change. Great band with lots of masterpieces. Start from the music "Temple of hate" or "Carry on". You will never regret.
Desperate Cry… A fckin masterpiece, along with the entire album “Arise”
The Best song of arise Is dead embryonic cells
Totally agree with you, and the best album is beneath the remains. Old Sepultura is a gift of Satan
@@claudioferraro1652 Mass Hypnosis, Stronger than Hate and Lobotomy 🤘 Pure Thrash
I think it's altered state
Subtraction, Murder, Under Siege are killer on this album as well.
Every song on arise is the best
This album is amazing. I used to listen to tons of Sepultura. I got to see Max Cavalera with Soulfly touring the "Dark Ages" album in a venue of probably 100 people. So sick.
Sepultura is amazing lowkey. Arise and dead embryonic cells are absolute bangers
Under siege tour 1991
not lowkey
Death-Lack of Comprehension. You'll love this band.
Fuck ya bro chuck was a master n will be missed r.i.p.chuck!!!
I've had the pleasure of seeing thIs original line up. This was my progression from grunge to metal then THRASH. Still makes the hairs on my neck stand up. Yeahh
In portuguese is pronounced like this: seh-pool-too-rah which means "grave".
my 2 fav metal bands metallica and sepultura , best riffs ever
*Sepultura is superior. Admit it. Come on, I know it's hard, but you feel better after all.*
metallica the pattern so bored
Nah, sepultura is like 1000x heavier
This whole album is a drum masterpiece. On "Meaningless Movements" the drumming kills.
Hell yeah, great Album
it's fun to watch millennial's react to the stuff I was into when I was in high school.
See "Inner Self" live in Barcelona.
Very good

Aguante Sepultura!
I fucking love Sepultura and happy to watch a new fan enjoy the madness... I first saw them back in 93 😊 🤘
sepultura have lots of great songs should react to more
I always have the same reaction listening to this song : my head starts banging of its own volition. Totally out of control headbanging.
Yes sir, another underrated band, should have been in the big 4 with Megadeth and Metallica.

Got to see Max and Iggor perform this last summer, along with most of the rest of this album and Beneath the Remains
More Sepultura react \m/
React SEPULTURA - Dead ENBRYONIC cells 🙏🙏🙏
Arise is the best song of the album
Altered State is my fav. Nobody ever mentions that song...
Whole album is my favorite sepultura album but schizophrenia was great.
undert8er especially that awesome guitar part a little toward the end of the song , it's so wicked
When this album first came out I was blown away.
Classic thrash metal from Brasil.
Boy, this song is huge. One of the best thrash metal song ever thrashed. :)
Love to see kids this days discovering the good stuff.

It's crazy that you had to drive that far just to get some metal to touch your ears. Thanks for the story and the support.

Inner SELF was my first metal song good old times :)
TLDR: Fire.
Check out Eloy Casagrande (their new drummer) live version of this song. Is just mindblowing
