This album is highly underrated because of the mix. There is not one filler on it and it has a Justice/ Black Album feel to it. It could easily fit right after Justice and before the Black Album. Please do the 4 songs on Beyond Magnetic after the Death Magnetic album..
Personally, this is my favorite song of the unforgiven trilogy. It's certainly different from the unforgiven 1 and 2, but that's probably why I like it so much (not saying that the previous two songs are bad or anything, I like the entire trilogy).
It had to be an Unforgiven 3 to complete the cycle. In the first he was angry with society, in the second with the person closes to him. And here he actually realises he is just angry with himself and the rest is an outward projection.
Structurally, this song is actually pretty similar to the first unforgiven. (clean intro, heavy verses, power chords and a descending line before a clean chorus, clean ending) One thing: In 2014 they wrote the song "Lords of Summer" for the live shows, but didn't do a proper studio recording. A version with slight changes (lyrics, some parts cut) is on the deluxe edition of the 2016 hardwired album, there's even a music video. The song is absolutely worth listening to, so either just see it as the last song on hardwired, or if you want the original version I recommend the one from munich 2015, as that has been remastered as part of the metallica mondays.
Great album, opening song "That was Just Your Life" is just so good. This album definitely stands out in positive way from their whole repertoire since 1990
Amazing album. Such a way to make up for st. Anger,,,ughhh,,,, but yes they come back with a vengeance. Im suuuuper stoked for cyanide, suicide and redemption, and ALL NIGHTMARES LONG. This is a fantastic album
If I had to choose one of them, I'm near to choose The unforgiven III. But in general, I prefer to not choose anyone. The three Unforgiven built a great trilogy that describes perfectly one issue James went through a big part of his life. 🤘🏼🎶
that sound is a undistorted guitar, it's not the bass, but it's true that you CAN hear the bass in this album. production isnt the best, compression is high. although the riffs and the solos, and the singing on top of that would put the best of thrashers to shame.
That piano you are hearing in the beginning, that’s James playing. He used to play the piano as a kid before he got to the guitar.

I love dm, it almost feels like a second justice to me with the weird production but fuckin amazing songs. cant wait for the album reaction dude!
Kirk goes crazy on this album
I like their instrumental on this album. Suicide and Redemption.
The back to back solos from James and Kirk are so cool
Your reactions are very good man. You are learning music and giving us a show at the same time 🙂

Been waiting for this!
bro you have to check out more Meshuggah! Dancers to a Discordant System is the grooviest song I’ve heard in a LONG time.

Please react to Nemophila - 'Adabana'🤘
I respect everyone has their own unique opinion but I dont know why St. Anger gets such a bad rep.
lars drumming is a bit lazy
