    Just found your channel and so happy I did! I've watched a couple your vids so far, and I'm hooked! What a refresher to find someone in the more mature crowd who is not trying to push everything after a 2 minute review. Appreciate your sharing your experiences and giving us a full close-up demo and walk-through of the lines, with thorough pros and cons of the products. We also get to see what the products look like on someone besides the youngsters! I'm subscribing right now, as I know I'll get honest reviews and a good look at what's on offer. Will save us all alot of money and navigation time!

    Hi Lisa. Great video! I really think the Haus Labs looked the best on you! I’m not just saying this because I’m a huge Gaga fan and I have not yet tried her cosmetics but this video makes me want to try her foundation at the very least! It’s a bonus that it’s the least expensive of the 4 you demonstrated!

      I do really like that one! i do suggest going to Sephora to make sure you get a good shade match for you - being able to try it on in the store before buying is a real plus!

    Hello. I love the Lisa Eldridge on you. However, on my own skin (prone to oily t zone), it breaks up in only some areas. I didn’t purchase a full bottle. Love her lip products.
    I have Chantecaille Future Skin in porcelain. It looks great on my 60+ complexion. I just wish it could be in a different (more hygienic) container. I have Chantecaille’s cushion, too, but it dries out before I can use it up. It is better for our hot and humid Louisiana summers.
    My favorites for everyday use are Sisley Phyto Hydra Teint, EltaMD Tinted SPF 41, or Dr. Sam Bunting’s Gossamer Tinted Sunscreen.
    I have fair, sensitive, reactive rosacea skin, so it’s a constant struggle. I use very many of Dr. Sam Bunting’s products. Recently, I discovered her Revival Mask, a 10 minute treatment (or you can sleep with it). I had no idea how much I needed the hydration.
    Thanks for your informative video. I was amazed at how many companies are owned by L’Oréal!!

    I will watch video in full but need to comment in case I forget. The Lisa Eldridge was awful on me and very drying. I still use by mixing with my night time serum. I will not repurchase as I don't like that extra step. The other foundations I have tried, apart from lady ga ga's. I enjoy them and will purchase haus labs soon

      That is interesting that the Lisa Eldridge one was so bad on you and how individual foundation performance seems to be. There are some foundations that I have hated so much that I can't see how anyone else could like them, even though they really seem to. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

      I forgot to mention aloud in the video that the Lisa Eldridge foundation contains bamboo powder, and so I wonder if that is why you found it to be drying. I'm surprised that it hasn't been a problem for me since a lot of foundations that are on the drying side do not work for me at all.

    Excellent and informative. Foundation is so personal - my skin seems similar to yours by I am a few years older. The LE looked awful on me, the PM was nice but I could only wear it for a couple of hours before my skin started tingling and I would have to take it off. The Chantecaille future skin used to be one of my favourites. The HL was lovely but again I got a reaction after a short time.

      That's very interesting to hear these experiences with the other foundations - thanks for that.
      I have a bottle of the Nars Light Reflecting Foundation and mentioned in the Laura Mercier video that i thought it was similar to the new LM foundation. Especially since it does not include silicone, I do think it looks really nice. Nars actually has been releasing a lot of cleaner products that i have done okay with over the past year or so - I should do a video about that soon. ❤

    Your videos are wonderful. If I were younger and didn't have so many wrinkles, I would definitely try foundations that you demonstrate. The best I have found for my budget is Cover Girl in Ivory, which I apply with a generous helping of Boom Silk.

      That is interesting that you have done well with the Cover Girl. I will look into that. I wonder how many people have tried that one. ❤

    Very informative video and love the comparison videos. It really helps to see what works best with texture, colour, etc. Thank you! The Chantecaille looked gorgeous on you - the warm colour helped I think and everything looked smooth. 2nd best was the Haus Labs. Have you tried corrector for under your eyes? That might work better with the foundation and maybe you won't need concealer. I need both but your under eyes are not very dark.

      Thanks for kind comment. I really like the Jones Road Face Pencil #6 or the Bobbi Brown Corrector Stick in Light Bisque for use under my eyes, and do use one of those almost every day. I didn't use a corrector in this video but do think that it has made a big difference for me. Probably I should make a video on color correctors and so would be really interested in hearing which products have worked well for you. Thanks for sharing yuor thoughts!

      Sometimes people to do say that a foundation color that is a little warmer and darker than the natural skin tone works well for women who are getting older. So that is interesting that you think that the Chantecaille worked well for me. :)

      @@lisapetrison-beautyreviews I would love to see a corrector comparison. I have the BB pan corrector in bisque and most others on the market minus the jones road. Which do you prefer out of JR & BB?

    • @lisapetrison-beautyreviews
      @lisapetrison-beautyreviews  Год назад +1

      @@DarkCircleBagLady I used the older BB corrector for quite a while and feel that it did a good job covering my dark circles but that the formula seemed to emphasize my wrinkles and also to feel a little sticky. I have felt that the JR #6 and the BB corrector stick in Light Bisque have been pretty similar for me in performance. The BB one is a little more expensive on a per-gram basis (I figured that out in my last video on concealers) but that not having to sharpen it has been a positive. I have not been irritated by either and feel both fo them just disappear into my undereye area. I felt the Exa corrector was a little irritating to me. I have a Live Tinted Huestick that I want to try, as well as the corrector shades in the MAC professional palette that I mentioned in the last video. I'm interested in the Fitglow corrector but haven't tried that. I wonder if there are others that I might want to try?

  • @pulidobl

    Haus Labs is okay, and you think with 55 shades I could find a perfect match…NOPE. Their shade range is very very confusing, too…she needed to add a few olive tones in the fair and light ranges…

    • @lisapetrison-beautyreviews
      @lisapetrison-beautyreviews  Год назад

      That is too bad that they don't have a good shade for you! There do seem to be a lot of people with light olive skin that have a hard time of it. I often watch Hannah Louise Poston's videos and she seems to struggle with this a lot, for instance. ❤

  • @pulidobl
    @pulidobl Год назад +1

    I owned all of them at one time…Lisa Eldridge #9 has the best color match for me forever…I have a bottle on hand. Formula is okay. Path McGrath’s foundation runs peachy (imo) didn’t find a very good color match. I don’t buy PML any more. Customer service lacking, and company has resorted to cash grabs (Star Wars palette). Armani Luminous Silk is a big no…skin reacts to it. Chantecaille FS is lovely but has gotten ridiculously expensive, and their shade range is dismal.

    • @lisapetrison-beautyreviews

      Lisa Eldridge really does seem to understand color. I am glad that you found a match in that one.
