I've found alot of these brands lean towards yellow which is not that flattering on me, imo but I look for 'pink' tones. As the day wears on I look so nice. In a pink tone - lol, yes I'm saying that about myself, well confidence is a good thing and that's what wearing makeup does for me 😊

I do think that there a lot of brands out there where most of the choices do lean decidedly yellow and where the pinkest shade is the one that works best for me. And my skin is pretty neutral, in my assessment. ❤

Chantecaille does have cool, neutral, and cool foundations. I am neutral with lots of pink. Yellow foundations look ghastly on me, as if I smeared mustard on my face, lol!

I have never tried this brand. I guess cause its very expensive... I love how you give us the history of the companies you review & thorough pleasant review...no screaming in my ear...lol. Keep'em coming Lisa...great job.

Thank you for your very nice reviews. I especially like the ingredients discussions. I'm a HUGE fan of this brand. I agree with you that the chamomile Future Skin is too yellow on you. If i may suggest this: i think you should try alabaster with some vanilla mixed in, or even alabaster with ivory mixed in.

I really enjoy how you go into the history of the brand - it provides a lot of insight into goals of the line and how the individual items will probably perform. And the business aspects are really interesting too.
Your discussion of ingredients is also very interesting.

I like your blue eyeshadow looks, especially the one with the yellow! Very cute! Thank you for sharing and explaining about the Mold illness and certain ingredients. I am a survivor of mold illness, too, and it helps me very much to know to avoid those ingredients or at least be very cognizant if I decide to try something that contains them. Thank you!!❤😊
I haven’t tried any Chantecaille products. They’re very alluring, but they would have to be really really special for me to pay that much money! Sounds like a couple of their products have been very special for you, so that makes it worth it. Hannah Louise Poston has said she really adores their single eyeshadow, I believe she has the elephant color. Those eyeshadows in the mustang packaging are very tempting!
I wonder if you could find a similar cushion foundation in a K or J Beauty product that would have more appropriate ingredients but might be similar in performance?

Mold illness does lead to sensitivities to all kinds of things, unfortunately. $58 for a single eyeshadow is awfully pricey, but I think that the Chantecaille sale is usually in August and so maybe I should think about buying one of those shadows then since they do look pretty and the ingredient list seems like it probably will be okay. Hopefully they have them at Blue Mercury so that I can try them out. I'm really interested in other cushion foundations now, but the only ones that I have seen have had fragrance or other problematic ingredients in them. I'm open to suggestions! ❤

I was lucky enough to be gifted the rose water spray but I haven't bought their foundations. Because of the price point I find these videos so helpful and the fact we're very similar in skin tone and age, so your opinion resignates with me and I value your thoughts and always take them into consideration when making a purchase. I never mind paying if it's quality and works for me. I also enjoy the mini history docu style on the brand, in fact I'm hoping one day you maybe do a full length videos on high end brands with photos etc, just a thought but I suppose you have 101 things going on but maybe next year? 😊

Great video. I bought the Chantecaille cushion foundation when it first came out. I loved it but no refills is shocking and I refused to buy another especially as the price then went up. I also love the gel foundation and the tinted moisturiser but am going to try your tip of mixing the Chanel concealer in the pot with a moisturiser 😀

That is absolutely true that they should be selling those replacement cushions individually, without forcing people to buy that container again. For environmental reasons especially, in addition to being considerate of their customers! That is just crazy that they are not. Please let me know how using that Chanel Sublimage concealer works out for you as a foundation then! ❤

Hi Lisa, this is one I've been looking forward to! Even though the skin tint has same ingredients as the cushion, did it have the same effect of irritating your skin? These products look great on you, by the way but maybe the Bader product is also evening out the skin tone. Thanks again for all your hard work on these videos!

No, I have used the Future Skin Gel Foundation many times over the past couple of. years and have never found it to be irritating. It actually continues to be a surprise to me! And then it was even more of a surprise that the Cusion Foundation was so irritating. I guess it could be that the amount of the preservatives was higher in the Cusion Foundation (because it is a more watery product), but I am still just suspecting contamination of the algae.
I do think that the Augustinus Bader cream has been a good thing for my skin. At the moment I am also being tempted by the Chanel Sublimage La Creme Yeux, which is $290 but does appear that it might be lovely. I'd like to hear some reports on that! ❤

Just wondering if the Chanel correcteur was fragrant or has any ingredients that puffed eyes ?
Also pleased to hear Chantecaille may be changing as I have like many of the colours of their product, but they look ' bubblegummie' on me. Being too youngish. Think it may be the sheen or an over glossy look. 😊

    • @lisapetrison-beautyreviews

I think the Chanel Sublimage Le Correcteur Yeux is only sold on the Chanel website and that they are not currently supplying the full ingredient list. So I copied it from the box. I am not seeing any fragrance except for real vanilla water and a cedar extract, and there are not any silicones. I feel like my face in general does really well with this, mixed with moisturizer. The main drawback is that the container is pretty messy, and so I tend to do a lot better if I transfer a small amount of it into a small jar for regular usage of it.
Ingredient List: Water, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Octyldodecyl Myristate, Undecane, Dextrin Isostearate, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Tridecane, Cellulose, C8-12 Acid Triglyceride, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Glyceryl Behenate/Eicosadioate, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, PEG-30 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Sodium Chloride, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Water, Cedrus Atlantica Bark Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Propylene Carbonate, Caprylyl Glycol, Magnesium Stearate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Isostearic Acid, Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate, Aluminum Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Lysine, Magnesium Chloride, Pentylene Glycol, Chlorphenesin, Tocopherol, Sunflower Seed Oil. May contain: Ultramarines, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide, Mica.
I do think that a lot of the Chantecaille products are pretty shimmery, and so those who do not like that kind of look may not do well with this line.
