It's incredible how she seemed to express such deep emotions at such an early age. She actually recorded "All Alone Am I" when she was only 14 or 15. Her unreal vocal technique still brings tears to my eyes. She is an American Treasure, in my opinion.
@@mrjohnwayne72paha I understand however, a little bit of mistakes here and there is good sometimes, it keeps the special sound and emotion of a song I think
The disbelief, the despair, the loss, the grief. Such universal feelings that feel ao alone when we experience them. She expressed them all in this SO POWERFULLY.
Way back, when I was just out of high school, I was eating at a place when Brenda Lee and her entourage came in and had dinner......I got to talk to her!! I didn't sleep for a week!!
As young as she was then, she took this song & performed it with total authority & the ownership of believability. So true to life. She earned her "icon" status. This is superb proof of how moving her lovelorn songs were for audiences. You are allowed to take it personally, if it helps. She makes this so very universal.
Brenda I am 77 years old. You were my favorite singer. I adored you and your beautiful voice. There isn't one song (ok maybe one lol)that I don't know all the words to..Ny favorite is "That's all you Gotta do"..Thank you so much for being so talented and and a big part of my teenage life..Loved you then...love you still❤
I actually had the ENORMOUS pleasure of going to see Brenda Lee in Manchester with my late Mum. Over 30 yrs ago and boy!!! Little Miss Dynamite is a well deserved name. She sang just as Great Live as she did on record! And watching her on RUclips now in her 70s she is STILL a powerhouse. Thanks Mum for making me listen to her and the rest of your rock n roll era after our Sunday tea. Those were the days. Thank you Little Miss Dynamite for blessing our ears with your ENORMOUS talent ❤
This is my favorite Brenda Lee song, and the first time a performance on the Ed Sullivan show made me cry. I didn't expect that, but "Losing You" is such a moving and emotional song and Brenda sings it as if she feels every word. Thank you very much for uploading this video which touched me very deeply.

Tears are streaming down my face...she pours her little heart out in this great song! A nice sized hit for her...she was a doll, who thrilled millions with her voice and talent. BRENDA LEE HAS SUCH A PURE AND MAGNIFICENT VOICE. SHE IS ONE OF THE GREATEST SINGERS IN MY LIFETIME. THAT IS WHY THEY CALL HER LITTLE MISS DYNOMITE. SHE IS THE EPITOME OF THE BABY BOOM GENERATION.
One of the Best ones 😁😎 I'll agree with Ed and most of the world by placing the crown on 👑Connie Francis. Connie got the 1st #1 hit right before Brenda got hers. Connie helped the solo women get to the #1 spots occasionally. No one cared for years that much on solo female artists until Connie Francis. She's the Best by her voice, being able to do multiple realistic emotions for whatever the mood is of a song, as in believable.. Most singers back then sounded kareoke since they all did the same songs. You can tell who was talented just on that alone.. The full package is what I mean by that. It's not just about singing a song... Same goes for how anyone can paint a picture after practicing... It's much more than that when it comes to the songs. Brenda does a great job. She's very talented. Connie for me is at a much higher level with what all she has done. Brenda is lucky for having her great songs, perfect marriage of 58 years, keeping her voice, not getting a nose job, not getting raped and no one murdered in her family that I know of. Connie has been through HELL. If she didn't get the nose job and went through the Hell I mentioned then her 1970s and later albums would have been way better and she would still be singing today. It's very sad. I'm happy for Brenda. When you compare talent, what they both did in their prime and level of work they did well Connie deserves the title as The Best Solo Female artist of all time in my opinion. ❤
