Pau Gasol was a Power Forward and Center who played for the Los Angeles Lakers for 7 seasons from 2008 to 2014. Pau Gasol was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers from the Memphis Grizzlies on February 1, 2008. Pau Gasol is also known as "The Spaniard" who can dominate inside the paint and can shoot the mid-range jump shots well. Pau Gasol career as a Laker has managed to help the team to appear in 3 NBA Finals and won 2 NBA Championships. In July 2014, Pau Gasol, who is a free agent, has decided to join the Chicago Bulls. Here in Spain we're very proud of Pau. Not only about the great player he is. He is very humble. Twenty years ago no one in Spain could believe a spanish guy could win a ring. Pau did it with hard work.

Prime Pau was something to behold. It was a pleasure to watch him play on the Lakers. He has awesome hands, high bbiq. great handles, and screams like an ostrich when he battled down low. He's super smart, respectful of other players, modest, and just all around good guy. Lakers were so lucky to have him, and it was unfortunate that they had dumb coaches that didn't know how to use him and turned him into a spot up corner shooter. PAU rocks.
He seemed to scream more like a llama to me but ostrich is debatable for sure. Damn what an awesome PF.

Pau Gasol is one of the most skilled big men to ever play in the NBA.there was a time that he was one of the top 3 power forwards in the league. HE carried the Grizzlies for a handful of years. He was a perfect second option for the Lakers.
some people have the idea that pau was just a good role player, that’s false. Pau Gasol was a star player, not kobe level, but he was the number 2 option when the lakers won both of those championships and deserves to have his number retired

You know.....he plays alot like kevin mchale. Even a celtics man, respect to pau, best spanish player ever and a hall of famer!
I totally agree, Mc Hale and him have a lot in common. Tall lanky guys that look softy but are real warriors, with a ton of skills and a lot more athletic than you would think. Mc Hale was a better defender, Pau more talented on offense.

Gasol and Spurs, a match made in heaven.
One of the most underrated guys, like Divac. Unselfish, smart, nice hands, ok he wasn't of the same caliber as Ewing, Olajuwon, Robinson, but in my opinion he was more a power forward than a real center (and that's the position which he played a lot in Memphis, 4). Such a nice and humble guy. I was more rooting for the Celtics but I was happy for Gasol as an Iberian :).
That Pau and Nick moment at the end was adorable. Not big on Nick Young but just the joy of having that teammate energy. I loved that a lot.

I don’t know it’s maybe i am in quarantine for months now but this is bringing me to tears.
He complimented Kobe so well. They were both extremely skilled at their position and both have topnotch basketball IQ. hat's why the transition to be teammates were seamless. They executed plays on the fly just picking up on each others movement. The series vs Spurs 2008 showcased that.

Gahhhh makes me miss seeing him in his prime in purple and gold. Watching him and Kobe together, pure art. They were so in tune with each other as well as Odom before his downfall. They did some great things together. His brother Marc is a great big as well.
Gasol is one of the best centers ever produced by Lakers. He blends well with Kobe and the whole team. Winning 2 championships with the Lakers is amazing!

Pau is very underrated in my opinion . One the best Lakers ever. I get tired of hearing people talk about what he didn’t do. Look at at what he did do. Kobe was be the first to say the Lakers wouldn’t have won those last 2 titles with out him. Under the teamwork of Kobe and Gasol they won the western conference champion 3 years in a row and 2 back to back NBA championships. Not to mention he was an all star every years this time.

In 2010 NBA Finals, Gasol was their support too! When his team was doing good, he let them know! He would think “Let’s go guys! We got this!” With that powerful emotion. When he gives you that 2 hand clap and hugs your whole teams heads that made everyone feel good
