Gasol was at one point considered the most skilled big man in the NBA - and this is a time where Duncan, KG, Dirk, Yao, and Amare played. He held his own, him and Kobe were a great pair.
You don’t see bigs like this anymore. He’s long, ambidextrous and he can go either right or left with beautiful hook shots. If you give him baseline, he either can drop pass to a cutter or reverse dunk on ya. Just a super fluid post-up game which has inspired people like me who grew up in that period.
Gasol so underrated , he should be up there with Dirk as best European player. Such a beast in the Post, Anthony Davis needs to learn some moves from Gasol
Gasol in laker championship years 19 ppg on 13 shots per game! That’s efficiency right there. Give him 5 more shots a game (like most stars get). He’s around 25 a game!
He was a very good player and I think any other team would do it because he'd probably be their best big man ever, but it's really hard to justify him in the same company as Wilt, Kareem, and Shaq.
Best part about Pau Gasol was his chemistry with Kobe Bryant, who would pass to Gasol at the RIGHT ELBOW/ High Post = 2-Man Game off Pinch Post 😄😄😄😄. I loved Gasol's fundamentals & footwork on the LEFT BLOCK even though he is right-handed.
He was tough as nails. He went to an all out war against dogs like Wallace and KG in the 2010 finals and he got the best of them. And he totally dominated prime Howard in the '09 finals. You don't do anything of the sorts if you're not tough as hell.
Boozer was strong, but he just too small for Gasol. When you have a legit 7fter with a huge wingspan, IQ, feel for the game and a variety of post moves, they will always be a handful.
What of he played in the 60's & 70's Really tho???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? He can Battle. Hes smart and clever.

One of the most skilled bigs in history.Underrated

Facts AD ain’t got shit on pau post game
Yeah pau is a world champion an a 2 nba champion
I would take pau gasol over ad all day

Because Pau is an unselfish player, and the best post ever
One of the best low post touch for a big man. The guys baby hook is money.
The best ever
The Gasolution, his Post moves are crazy!
true and very pretty to watch those up and under plus those hook shot, wish this type of plays will return someday instead of just taking 3s
I think the Lakers should retire his #16 jersey. He was instrumental for their ‘08-‘10 Finals appearances.
Eric L I think they are
He was a very good player and I think any other team would do it because he'd probably be their best big man ever, but it's really hard to justify him in the same company as Wilt, Kareem, and Shaq.
Nah It will be like Kevin Garnett.
HES GETTING HIS JERSEY RETIRED WITH LA, LETS GOOOOO
From vision to reality.

unbelievable player. I have never seen a right handed center that could finish it wth the left as well as he does.
He was a beast in the low post, and it was fun watching him work his magic in a Lakers jersey.
PAU GASOL #16 HALL OF FAMER 🏆🏆
Pretty to watch 😍😍😍
I’m from chicago and I say Pau was the best center we ever had

best power forward pau gasol respect
The post master
2010 FINALS MVP
I love his baseline dropstep spin!
Gasol is the most dominating, elegant and unselfish power forward ever. Simply the best!
Supertalented!!! Maybe he is not as tough as people would like, but who cares when you are so skilled.

@@ramjb He ate Howard and Gortat alive. And should have been the 2010 Finals MVP, perhaps. 18.5 ppg and 11.5 rpg against the rock solid Celtics.
His post game was sick 👌👌👌😂 players today need too hit him up 👌
Absolutly suberb 💪💪
Pau and Lamar were monsters and beasts in the interior.
Gasol played good in lakers.
👏👏👏
That left hook was so unfair.
Womp womp
Too much class
He was playing fabulous with the grizzlies and the Lakers. I was glad he helped kobe get 2 rings in 09 and 10.
bro he and kobe developed that little spin move on the baseline together. where you spin and kinda use your off arm to shield. veteran moves
All people here need to watch the 40 points game vs france in the eurobasket
Kobe knew he would get titles when they got gasol. It did worked with 2 championships.
that’s a video for the defensive lowlights of Carlos Boozer
Boozer was strong, but he just too small for Gasol. When you have a legit 7fter with a huge wingspan, IQ, feel for the game and a variety of post moves, they will always be a handful.
When Kobe fans say Pau was never double teamed, they should watch this video...or just remember the games when they happened.
No one says that
AD must watch this.
3:30 i thought gasol was part of the 2000 lakers
Soft hands great touch 15 feet in. His shots rarely hit rim, most were all net.
Sou seu fã. Felipe Bandeira aqui do Brasil
6:57 good
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Kobe & Paul are best duo of the Lakers next to Earvin & Kareem.
Imagine if AD had pau post game
AD is already better than Pau. Wth u smoking
@@socalbeauty1516 you're a casual. stick to table tennis dude
@@jasonrosete1144 laker fan since u were in diapers kid
@@socalbeauty1516 highly doubt that. You haven't even seen Pau play if you're saying Davis is better
@@jasonrosete1144 I've been a die hard laker fan since the days of nick the quick and Eddie jones m them boys. Sit down kid
If it wasn't for Pau, Kobe would had never got out of the first round again after Shaq left him.
Why does he scream like a Llama on every shot?Is he ok?
I am here because this is what Anthony Davis need to be doing with the rockets
He’s tall
He wasn't going to win championships, if he was still playing for the Grizzles. It was great, he got traded to the Lakers.
What of he played in the 60's & 70's
Really tho???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? He can Battle. Hes smart and clever.
This is what Embiid should be doing
HOF
pau needs to train AD how to play in the post
Dribble Entry with an empty wing/corner = Weak-side Triangle 😄😄😄. 2018 basketball is not this fundamentally sound.
Reminds me of Rony Seikaly
Much better
If it wasn't for Pau, Kobe would had never got out of the first round again after Shaq left him.
