    It's very good. I lost my $120 for voice over job because I used Irig mic cast. My client knew that's mobile phone. I planned to buy AT 2020, but I think this cheaper one is not too bad compared to AT 2020. Thanks for the review.

    Is this microphone good in handling background noise? Actually typing sound was being heard.. Is it true unidirectional mic? Please reply...

    • @AudioHotline
      @AudioHotline  5 лет назад +4

      This wouldn’t be the mic that I recommend for background noise rejection. It is cardioid mic, but condenser mics like this tend to struggle a little more than dynamic mics when it comes to background noise rejection. I would go with the Q2U or ATR2100, if you need to reject sound and want a USB mic. If you decide to go with an XLR mic and interface, just look for a dynamic mic. that will be your best bet, or even a handheld condenser mic like the AT2010!
      Inexpensive XLR dynamic mics that I like:
      Behringer XM8500 ($20)
      Shure SM48 ($40ish)
      Tonor Dynamic mic ($20)
      ISK ICDM ($30, with promo offer in description of my review for the ICDM, usually $60)
      Hope this helps!

    Hey, you probably aren’t looking at comments on this video anymore. But if you see this, can you explain to me the differences between the k669b and the k670? I don’t really care about build quality for the stand and such, as i’m going to have it on a boom arm. As for sound though, I want to know the different qualities of each. Thanks for your time :D

    • @AudioHotline
      @AudioHotline  5 лет назад +3

      As far as sound, they are extremely similar, if not identical. The nice features on the K670 are the direct input monitoring headphone jack, and the removable USB cable. If neither of those matter to you though, then the k669b will work and sound great for you. I personally love those features and would pay the extra $18 for them.

    • @AudioHotline
      @AudioHotline  5 лет назад +1

      Also, I am doing a giveaway, if you haven’t seen it. I will actually be giving away a FiFine K669b and a Tonor Dynamic mic. If you watch my most recent post it will give you the instructions on how to enter! But basically, it just requires a sub and a comment on that newest video!

    • @relic1706
      @relic1706 5 лет назад +1

      Wow, that was quick. What exactly does the headphone jack do? Sorry I’m new to this stuff.

    • @AudioHotline
      @AudioHotline  5 лет назад +2

      Brim no probably at all! The headphone jack on the K670 allows you to listen to what your microphone is picking up while you have your headphones plugged into the mic, whether you are recording or not. You can still make this possible by setting up your computers inputs and outputs correctly so that your input is the USB mic and the output is your computer headphone jack... but the reason the headphone jack is nice on the microphone itself, is due to the fact that it is zero latency... Which just means it doesn’t lag the audio that is playing back in the headphones. Sometimes when you use your computer’s headphone jack to listen to the audio while you’re recording it can have a lag, which can really throw you off sometimes. The headphone jack on the K670 eliminates that issue! Having headphone monitoring while recording is a must have, that way you know that the audio sounds good, and if anything corrupts or ruins the audio, you will know.

      I see, i want to upgrade to a better microphone maybe in a year or so from the microphone i buy now. Do you think that the extra $18 will be worth only using it for a year?

    It does pickup too much noise? I'm planning to buy one but there's a lot noise in my surrounding like fans/ac or vehicle passing by, I really want a clean raw voice for my stream, appreciate your reply

    • @AudioHotline
      @AudioHotline  3 года назад

      I would recommend a dynamic mic since there will be a lot of noise around. The Samson Q2U is reasonably priced if you are wanting a USB mic. It will reject noise way better than a mic like this. If you decided to go with this, I would recommend trying to hang up a couple moving blankets.

    Do you think this would be good for singing melodies?

    • @AudioHotline
      @AudioHotline  5 лет назад +2

      Arkines Yes, it can definitely handle singing. Of course it would just depend on the style and the singer. If you, or whoever you are recording, are a loud raspy (aggressive) singer, I would maybe choose a different mic. But it would definitely do a good job on a majority of singing applications, and it would sound good! Just make sure your levels are right and you will be good to go! Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!

      @@AudioHotline thanks for the reply! Do you have any recomendations for A usb mic

    • @AudioHotline
      @AudioHotline  5 лет назад +2

      Arkines there is the FiFine K670, which is basically just a heavy duty version of this mic, and it comes with a headphone port, so you can have latency free monitoring in your headphones! That one costs $48 on amazon. I am actually going to be reviewing it very soon. Other than that, I am a big fan of the Samson Q2U, but it is a little over that budget, I believe it is $57 on amazon. I am big on buying used, in good condition, microphones though. So you may be able to find the Q2U used, in good condition for under $50. If you have never used the app “Reverb” I would highly recommend downloading it, it has a ton of great gear options, used and new. The Samson is a dynamic mic and the FiFine is a condenser, I don’t know if you have a preference on which one you like more, but both of them are very good mics, the Samson is a tiny bit more versatile, in my opinion, but the Fifine has that nice full condenser sound! Hope this helped! Thanks!

      myreal 2ndchannel to me, it just sounds like those people don’t know how to use a DAW and select the proper input and output in their settings. I actually talked to a FiFine rep a while back and they told me that is one of the biggest issues that they run into, people not understanding how to connect and set up the mic. People were essentially looking for a driver that did exist because the mic doesn’t need one. I actually think they have a video on their RUclips channel that can walk people through set up. That’s a common issue with all USB mics, people not reading the documentation on how to set it up. If you decide to get this mic or a different USB mic and you have a problem setting it up, just let me know and I can walk you through it.

      Noice is audible ... like that muano mic with type c u reviewed

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE 5 лет назад +4

      Hi there, hissing is usually related to self noise level of a mic, so-called equivalent noise. If we're honest, K669B is not the quietest mic but also not the noisy one. Apart from the defective reason, the problem you experienced is most likely caused by I/O volume settings.
      First off, it's crucial to control input signal. The last thing you want to have is over-boosted signal with noise. And FIFINE mics are rather sensitive, so specific to K669B, the dial should be at around 50% to get started with. Next, you may need to set computer input and output level at around 70%. If you think the noise is still not acceptable, it's possible because of poor or defective connection or interference from other electronics. So just test it with another USB port and without other device plugged into the port right next it.
      If it doesn't help, just let us know the test result, it would be better if you can send us the recording with you speaking and are silent. You can contact us at our Facebook page: facebook.com/FifineStore/
