I think having a toilet and sink plumbed in is a must have, even for a back yard business as clients do need them on a regular basis. It is worth the extra investment.

Hey! I have just came across your channel and your cabin is beautiful! My partner and I are just getting bits and bobs together ready to build my very own cabin too😊 I used to be a mobile therapist but up here in Scotland restrictions are pretty strict about going into peoples homes etc so thought now is the time haha! I have always wanted my very own cabin and hope to document it too x
Thanks so much for watching and your kind words! Wishing you all the best and every success! It was the best thing I did, I love it💜 I absolutely love Scotland, I visit every year. I'll be keeping a look out for your video!x
@@jashands aww you’re very welcome😊 and thank you! That’s brilliant, hopefully you’ll get to visit up here again in the future! I’ll be posting about it on my insta (@loromassageandbeauty) which you follow me on, my cabin is arriving on Wednesday I’m super excited! Hope you are feeling better soon,
Lauren x
I’m about to transform my shed into a studio myself! So excited!! Happy to have found this video! All the best, Jordan Toronto (host of Discover Me TV on RUclips)
Good luck! I'm so glad this was useful for you!
@@jashands I’m on my way! In probably another few weeks, the transformation of my shed into studio will be ready to reveal! So excited!!!!

This is a great idea
Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing this. There's definitely not much info on this process around. Love how it's turned out!xx
Thanks so much! I actually have an updated video coming soon!x
@@jashands I look forward to it!xx
I am doing this in September this was so helpful thank you !!
I'm so sorry for my late reply! Thank you for watching, I'm glad it was useful. Please do subscribe, I have a cabin update coming soon. Wishing you all the best with yours!!xo
Wonderful! Such a good idea and perfectly executed. Mega props to partner for doing loads too. What a superstar. I was wondering how it was in winter? Well tbf the temperature all year round, that's my biggest worry for my own nail shed ideas...
Thanks so much!! Its still chilly in the winter so I keep an oil radiator on in there on low all day, stops my gel going glupy etc, made sure no damp could get in and took the edge off. Summer it was warm but not unbearable as it was built in a place that wasn’t in direct light all day. Spring and autumn it’s perfect in there.
Brilliant
This is so useful!! I’ve been looking at doing something like this but every time I’ve looked at sheds, they’re much more expensive than this. It’s put things into perspective and made it seem much more affordable
I’m so glad it was useful! I felt exactly the same, waterproof sealer and silicone will be your best friend if you go for a cheaper option! Good luck with it x
Wish you the best!
thank you!
Thank you soooo much for sharing your beautiful salon and your building experience! My hubby is also an electrician and we are getting ideas on how I want my salon in a couple of years. 🙏🏻🥰 I looove the sink idea because I wasn’t going to be able to add pluming either!
How is your business going so far
Inspirational. Wishing you success always. Donna L
Thank you so much❤️
Hi Jas. thanks for the video. It is so inspirational. I have bought a summerhouse but unsure where you got your handles from. We just can’t seem to find ones that fit the doors 😢
So sorry for not responding, only just seen this! My handle was from B&Q, we had to do some work on the door for it to fit x
Do you have a lavatory? It’s a must in Pennsylvania
Very nice cabin, how tall is that ceiling at the lowest point ?
heyy,, i got an 8x8 one and i don’t know if it will be big enough is yours big enough ? x
Soooo freakin cute
pixie nails thank you so much💜
Hi,
The water pump link not working can you please provide me with the brand name or the power .
Thanks
Hello. I’m really love this idea and I’ve been got the same idea as well. But i wonder about the paper work for your home base nail salon. Can you help me for some more information?
Hiya, thanks so much! Documents and paperwork will vary depending on your local council/state. Best to check in with them to make sure you get all the right information x
Hi love!! What did you use for a good heating source in the winter? I have a small shed I use for a portrait studio and right now we are using a dynaglow blue flame propane heater and it’s killing me with condensation on the walls and windows!! Any advice on a good heating source
Hiya, thanks for watching and commenting! I currently use an oil radiator that I keep on a very low heat all day and night and it just takes the edge off. It's been a bit colder in there during the evenings but I just put a jacket on or turn the heater up. Seems to do the job perfectly! Having it insulated has helped a huge amount. You can pick the oil radiators up fairly cheap on amazon x
@@jashands Hi love and thank you so much for this info 🤗 I’m going on Amazon now to search for them. I have such a cute little blue flame propane heater in my little shed and it’s causing so much condensation when the building is super cold. I do photography so right now I’m not out there a lot but when I do go out there and turn the heat on it makes the walls and windows swear bad and I hate that! I’m afraid it will cause mold in my new studio shed 🙁 I’m so glad I found your channel and I look forward to watching some nail videos and I hope to see you my way sometime too. I love getting to meet new friends here on RUclips. I do beauty related vids and hope to do some cute nail vids in the future but lately I’ve been documenting my breast cancer journey. I’m behind on sharing new vids with updates but I will get to this this week plus I have two months worth of beauty subscription boxes I need to share so please overlook that I’m behind on getting vids up and I still hope we can comment. I’m from a very small rural town in the mountains of southeast Kentucky. Living Right in the middle of nature so we have coyotes and bears often in our yards 😳
im going to make a spa place😛😳💅
Hey , this is gorgeous just was wondering what type of sink that is and where’d you get it ?🥰
Thank you! My sink is just from B&Q, but you can find similar online or in the DIY stores💜
This is lovely! Your video was so helpful, what plasterboard from b&q did you use exactly?
Thank you, glad it was helpful! I can't remember the exact name of it but we got one of the largest sheets/thickness. It was about £7.50 per piece if that helps?x
@@jashands thank you💕
Nice 👍 like
hey hun where did you get the plaque to go on the outside of the cabin?
jaycee tomlinson it’s from The Brand Stylist on Instagram x
How were you able to install a functional sink
I do go over it in the video but it’s a sink unit, with an electric heated tap and pump with separate tubs for clean and waste water to go into in the cabinet
Hey I was wondering how much everything was for building it . I'm planning on building something similar and wanted to see how much I will be spending
I do go into rough costs in the video, but have probably spent about £3,500 in total. Had a few issues with the weather getting wet and horrid so had to do some repairs. Good luck! Feel free to ask any questions if you have them x
Hi im new to youre chanell just wondering were you got youre sink
Hello, thanks for watching! It's from B&Q!
Hi what type of lighting is behind you? The string light
It’s just a net of LED lights from Amazon☺️
Thank you so much
What kind of wood is the outside area
Outside is just the wood the manufacturer provided, I believe it's 11/18mm thick. I then waterproof treated it.
Hi looks so gorgeous! 😍 did you have to have planning permission?
I didn’t but it will depend on your local authority😊
Bonsoir quelle est la superficie?
Thanks for sharing! Would you happen to remember the name of facebook group that you joined that gave you ideas?
Jessica Parker no problem! It’s Beautiful Sheds ☺️x
How long did it take you?
Around three months as I was doing it on weekends and the evenings☺️
Hey where’s your nail sign from
M M the brand stylist on Instagram☺️
Where would they use the bathroom if they needed to go just wondering ....
They can use the facilities in my house if needed, although no clients ever have and I pre warn them of the situation☺️
@@jashands that’s good. It doesn’t effect your business or anything? Thanks for answering back by the way !
@@deecee3174 never been an issues so far! I’m very open and honest with all clients including potential new ones. They also respect that I work from home and things are different than a “normal” salon. You can’t please everyone and that’s also ok! No problem at all☺️
@@jashands that’s good. And thanks again!! I plan to start my own small business soon in a shed lol a nail salon. So I was just wondering how to go about with the bathroom issue... and how the customers might look at it from their P.O.V. But thanks for the tip, I’ll be sure to let them know in advance and of course if they really needed too I’ll let them use it in my house. But due to covid I just want it to be safe for everything that’s mainly another reason why I asked... thank you again I appreciate the tips. 😇🙏🏼
Can I just borrow your dad and like just pay him to do this for me at my home in Georgia 😂
Does the door have a key on it? If not you should really replace that door knob for one with a key, people can easily get into a backyard and nail stuff is expensive so ofc someone would want to steal anything and everything they find.
Thanks for your comment but it was one of the first things I bought once the cabin was built☺️
Do you need to get planning permission and is it legal? :)
All depends on your local council if you are in the UK. Some have certain requirements, others don't☺
Where is the sign from again 🙈
The Brand Stylist on Instagram☺️
did you need planning permission for this
I didn't but it can vary due to the local council
Check mine out on my page! I love yours! How big is it?
Would be nice if you ironed your shirt and did your hair, really consider wearing clothes that are well presented, otherwise people may question your quality of nails and attention to detail in you business, YOU are a representitive of your salon quality. Otherwise I loved watching the process of the build...
Hi Roslyn, thanks for watching and your feedback. I’d just like to say this whole video and build was done in the first lockdown where I wasn’t seeing anyone but my boyfriend who lived with me and then my dad was restrictions were relaxed. This was a very messy process and wearing my normal uniform was not appropriate. I ensure that when I see my clients I am very well presented. My appearance and professionalism has never been questioned by any of my clients and my aesthetic, salon and personal, is one of the reasons my clients come to me. Thank you again for watching☺️
Oh shut up, Karen. No one is going to do their hair or wear a freshly ironed shirt to build anything.
I love what you have done looks Amazing 🥰 must say I found nothing wrong with what you wore in the video - considering it was lockdown as well. Clients will come back to you as long as your work is amazing - if all honestly if they judge you by what you wear then they are the clients you don't need ❤ all the best xoxo
What a way to be a karen! Mind your own business lady and stop worry about everyone else! This isn’t the dark ages! Things and people have relaxed. Try lifting other women up not tearing em down!! But would a man have that same issue🙄🙄🙄
