I do impressions! Jimmy Stewart, Richard Nixon, Tom Bodett, and Peter Lorre, just to name a few! LOL!!! Seriously, that looks like a great little sprayer! Thanks Pete! Love your videos! You are a master!!
Thanks for the clear informative review. At least you get credit for replies. But..... it's sad to see so many asking questions of what I heard you already clearly state in the video. 👍
Great video. No doubt with practice an excellent result can br achieved. Specially if using a single stage paint. Cut and buff and you'll look like Rembrandt !👌
Wait what?? This exists?? I’m planning on getting a wide body kit for my car and repainting and I’m looking at air compressor tanks. But they have electric painters?!
I was thinking of getting a Wagner wired electric HVLP sprayer. Pete have you tried the wired 120v versions and are they the same in functionality. Did you use a hardner with the electric sprayer.
keep in mind , for 100 you only get the tool , got to spend another 100 for battery and charger. I wonder what other batteries brands will work with this tool ?
When measuring paint amount how do you gage how much to make I refurbish coke machines and would like to do my own metal work and paint as an example if my surface area to be painted is 3' × 4' 12 Sq ft of course is there a formula per se example 1qt per square ft
Thanks Pete. I actually decided to purchase one of these spray guns. The only question I have is do you think the 40 volt version offers much more than the 20 volt version? It appears, based on your video, that the 20 volt version has enough power.
Thanks Bill. I'm not sure what the extra voltage will do, I think the compressor has to spray constant PSI, and it's not like the battery is pushing material. It may last longer, but I have found the 20V is sufficient for the materials I've tried
This one the best video can see it let you now how this works thing can used black metallic for my car dont only thing dont now how to do it how you do the pain and the clear to paint the car thad only problem i got dont niw can buy the paint ready and the clear you no got any video how to do it what paint can used with this pistol battery thank dña much let people now
It's a Graco with different colors and they're terrible stay away 😠😠😠 First came out to paint your fences then your house and it looks like crap in the clogs every other second stay away 😠😠😠
@Dan Deen Looked at the Graco site. Not one of their guns corded or cordless is the same. The battery of this gun looks similar to a Milwaukee. The pictures shown at the Graco site show a Dewalt battery being utilized. Those batteries don't enterchange with out an adapter. There may be similarities. Yet this gun Pete is showing not the same.
@@davidsawyer1599 painting the car is a daunting task to begin with painting a car with crap tools is a disaster waiting to happen. I've been a general contractor for almost 40 years I've been through a lot of tools and I've restored my fair share of cars. This guy's a good engine builder I'm surprised to see him way in on something that's a cheap piece of crap. It's up to you good luck
@@BKMDano17 Your first sentence states that it is a specific brand just with different badging. In no way do I imply that this spray gun is the same as what the pros use. I believe the takeaway is if one is on a very limited budget this is an option.
@@davidsawyer1599 hey David I also am just trying to warn people who think that this is going to do the job. Unless you're using what is called an HVLP it takes a lot of pressure to push color and it takes more pressure to push clear. Save up some money buy a compressor and a decent gun. Even with the right tools it's hard
This is an HVLP gun. The cup does not need to be on top. I did say in the video if you are doing a 1 time job or need the flexibility, this was a decent option for $99. I've tried it quite a bit and like any tool, if you use it correctly and take care of it, it will last. I have been painting cars for 35 years and use high quality guns, but not everyone can afford it. I am simply showing an option.
The best AD plug I have ever seen on You Tube. Absolutely amazing and seamless
It's not an ad plug, I am transparent up front, I tell everyone companies send me thigs to try, and I give an honest review.
Sold! Thanks - the ONLY video I've found that answers this question directly - I'm getting one.
I'm glad I could help!
Wow great review! Just what I needed to learn about the sprayer. Bluetooth speaker looks cool too.
Thank you my friend. I have used both quite a bit and there are great
Thank you for the video. Great price for the person not wanting to wait for skilled labor to do the painting.
Very true!

Great point!

People are quick to shoot it down, but I have to say it does lay down the material fairly well.
Can you spray truck bed liner with it??
I would say yes
Absolutely would not spray bed liner
The bed liner would need thinning
Do you think this would work good for epoxy and high build primers?
It does come with some pretty large tips so I imagine it would
Wait what?? This exists?? I’m planning on getting a wide body kit for my car and repainting and I’m looking at air compressor tanks. But they have electric painters?!
The do work well
I was thinking of getting a Wagner wired electric HVLP sprayer. Pete have you tried the wired 120v versions and are they the same in functionality. Did you use a hardner with the electric sprayer.
They do work very similar. If you do use hardener, clean the gun thoroughly
Did u needed to mix a paint thinner to the paint before putting the paint inside the container?
Yes
keep in mind , for 100 you only get the tool , got to spend another 100 for battery and charger.
I wonder what other batteries brands will work with this tool ?
It comes with the battery and charger
Orange peal whit this gun?
It wasn't too bad really, with some practice I'm sure it could be made smooth
I have a 1.0 tip on my spray gun. It sprays finer then the 1.5 you used. I use it
Intersting
What is the shielding like on that thing? Depending on what you were spraying, wouldn't ignition of some paint vapor be exciting?
I don't think it's an issue if you keep the area well ventilated.
Very well done video!
Thank you very much!

Always follow the manufacturers recommendations for thinning. I always spray a test panel to check.
Can this gun use de Walt 20v battrries?
I don't have one to try
Fellow fans, don't forget to share on other social media!
Thanks my friend
great video bud!
Thanks!
Do you think it would be good to spray furniture with?
Absolutely, I did a few pieces with it

Hi Pete;could you please help us test our products that works with dewalt 20v batteries?
Send me an email
hm the smal 2 second clip you show of the finish result is not good. is thsat the best it can do or was your boot lid just not peppered good?
Yes, I didn't expect it to look like glass. I wanted to see how it laid down the material and it did a good job.
How does this tool compare to a compressor driven paint gun 🔫.
It is very similar, but I wouldn't be spraying expensive paints through it.
@@PetesGarage You wouldn't spray expensive paints? Metallic for instance which do you think would be better, this electric sprayer or a rattle can?

Now we can paint our cars some where else. Think it would lay down metallics ok?
I use to paint outside all the time. I think it would do ok, I'll have to try.
So for a car bumper you don't recommend??
It would work fine
Where do you suggest doing the job without leaving paint everywhere, or is the close range spraying not leave a mess
You can do it in a garage, just use plastic to cover things up
@Pete's Garage so I have to worry about the ceiling getting paint ? Sorry just don't want a huge mess in process of selling house
Will the paint hit me ceiling I can cover things up but that idk
Hello did you have to strain the paint?
I always strain all paint
White tip would be the best way to go?
Depends on the viscosity
@@PetesGarage it's a laquer paint I'll be using
Strain it and try it
Im lokking for somsrhing dor small projects like car bumpers etc. would this be good for such jobs?
It will work
