can you talk about how NOT to let the hips sink? i mean i know its about CORE engagement, but HOW? i can't keep my stomach contracted the entire time? it completely destroys my flow i feel like... but if i let loose to much, i feel like a potbelly pig 🥲

Head Flat to chest and eyes look to Pool ground below the head that helps.

You must not contract the the core muscles unnaturally hard, just tighten them up gently. Practice not to allow those abdominal muscles to completely relax any time, but when you are at rest, so it becomes a natural habbit. Do dryland exercises to strengthen those muscles and then do streamline gliding, before gradually adding body rotation and arms pulls. It will all come together with practice and you'll be flying through the water in no time, just don't overthink it and enjoy the process. Best of luck :-)

Keeping your legs & hips up comes down to 2 things -
      1. Head position, if your head is too high your legs will immediately start to sink
      2. Your kick, if you are not kicking your legs correctly, this will also lead to your legs & hips sinking very quickly.
      Hope this helps 😊

stretch your body. Feel body like a paper and then you float.
Later, move your hips to move your legs, do not move to much your ankle.
Hands must S position when pulling the water. This will automatically cause your head to tilt little up. If you don't do your hand position S when pulling, your head will tilt more, causing your lower body to sink.

It is physically impossible for your hand to break the water before your elbow.
