Just traded in my FN 509 for the HK VP9 Match. I’m so excited for range day. I carry a G34 and it’s like a Toyota…reliable and no frills. This is like the Lexus upgrade.

normally my trigger finger is so far on the fingertip that any further and it would fall off. i did go back and look at it and there were a few times that i was up to the first bend. but that is why i do prefer a flat trigger as it suits me better. ak

this is a match pistol and some competitors do not wish to obscure the target with the front post. combat is a different story though. many of us have noticed that when we shoot competitions we develop different habits that are inconsistant with self defense shooting. ak
yes but i typically have issues with firearms that have their slide release further back on the frame or the slide release itself is extended type. those two situations force me to adjust my grip. ak

Having trouble finding a holster for the VP9 Match -B OR that I just bought. What are you using with the one in this test? Find holsters for VP9L but match slide is 1/2" longer.
@@5280Armory Thanks. HK suggested that I try Craft Holsters. HK Parts suggested Odin but they haven't developed one yet. Not sure what the bug deal is if they already have one for VP9L, just add 1/2" more for barrel.
I now have a VP9 with the HK Parts Comp and it's about the same length as the Match pistol. It would seem that the Odin holster for the VP9 with comp would fit both.
for me it is a combination of low pressure target ammo and my grip. when i change my grip i am less likely to inadvertently hit that extended slide release. ak

Nice! I didn't want to deck out my carry pistol (little stock P365) as its just a point and shoot, break contact pistol. Have a few KAC and LMT rifles with all the best but haven't been getting out for rifles enough. Been thinking about a target pistol for fun. Work on my groups, pistol is the most challenging and maintains a challenge which is exciting. Rifle can get a little boring if you don't go to classes, ie you can't miss haha. Thanks for the review!

More like my Silver Wraith II. I prefer my VP9 Match over my many other HKs. (I have 7).
Slide doesn't stay back at all?
I also override the slide catch on the VP9.

I held one today in my lgs and I think I’m going to go back on Tuesday and buy it. Really a nice feeling pistol.

typically i will use my blackhawk serpa holsters for hk but i dont think that is what your looking for as the barrel will stick out the bottom. ak

How does the VP9 Match compare to the USP Expert?
i have the expert and like it very well but the hk vp9 match gets my vote with better ergonomics, striker fired and 20rd mags. thanks ak
