- Noosa - where do you go to get away from the crowds? Noosa is ever-increasingly growing as a tourism destination. Now that the borders are open, the crowds have returned during the high season. We ❤️ Noosa, but as a Sunshine Coast local, where do we go to also experience Noosa when it's busy - but without always having a crowd around? We have a handful of suggestions of places we like to go to in the peak Summer holiday season....and we want to share them with you......after all, there's nothing like having a piece of Noosa all to yourself is there?!
NEXT WEEK WE ARE DOING AN "ASK US ANYTHING"....just write your questions in this week's comments and we will do our best to answer them for you! 🤗 🤗

Hi, we're Beth & Paul from Brisbane, Australia and we love to travel!
Paul retired on 28th February 2020 and on the 1st March 2020, we set out on a 6-month adventure around South East Asia. This was a well-planned once-in-a-lifetime travel experience! It was our intention to show you how you can have a great time travelling without spending a fortune.
Our timing wasn't great - with the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus and subsequent global turmoil less than a month into our trip.
Until it is safe to travel internationally again, we turn our focus on travelling around Queensland and sharing everything our beautiful State has to offer!
Our videos are posted weekly 😊 (we aim for Thursdays).

Thanks Steve 🤗 We love Noosa too!
........ because it's in ...... Cooroy. You are right - great spot to get away.
Ha ha yes Maria 🤗 thanks for watching! You’re right, Cooroy is a great little town!
That was a lovely little video 😍. I felt I was there. I especially loved seeing the little family having their fish and chips on the jetty. Poor old Queensland 💕, in for another hammering. I hope there's no flooding this time 😭. You all need a break and the people need to get their lives and homes back 💗☺️💗. Take care 💝 my dears and see you both next week 🤠. Happy Mother's Day 💐🌴💐 Beth 😍.
Happy Mothers Day to you too Carol ❤️ We're so happy you liked this video! Yes, we're bracing ourselves for huge amounts of rain this week. It's been a tough year for a lot of people and we also really hope that there's minimal flooding. Our next video should be fun...our viewers have sent in some great questions...so far, not one question has been repeated from our first Q & A a year ago 😲
Hi Beth and Paul , we’ve just had a marvellous holiday in the Sunshine Coast and we planned lots of our day trips on tips we got from your videos , really enjoy your videos and planning already for another trip to the Sunshine Coast

Hi @v0mitpod 🤗 Yes, we did a video on Sanctuary Cove last year and filmed out the front of George’s! Whilst we haven’t dined at George’s Paragon on Hope Island, we have dined at George’s Paragon Eagle St, Brisbane 😋 Thanks for watching!
New subscriber here, love the videos and these spots🥰
Awesome! 🤗 Thanks Rebecca & enjoy the rest of your weekend

Thanks Ramesh 🤗 We ❤️ your enthusiasm!!!
A very beautiful place to spend a day. How far is it from Brisbane?
Hi Oscar, it’s around 150kms and takes approximately 2 hours to drive to Noosa from Brisbane. Thanks for watching 🤗
Beautiful
Thanks Mehmet 🤗
Thank you again Beth and Paul for showing us Noosa Botanical Gardens. We had no idea it was there and visited it on our holidays last week what a great morning out we had. We certainly built up an appetite for lunch after walking the garden. 😀
Hi Michelle 🤗 That’s great to hear! We’re really happy you checked out Noosa’s Botanical Gardens…they’re our ‘go to’ spot when Noosa is busy and we want to get away from the crowds. It sounds like you had a great holiday 😉
Thank you for another lovely video. We are planning our move from UK to brisbane and love seeing all the nice places you visit x
Hi Annemarie 😊 Thank you! We're really pleased you enjoyed this video! You have sooooo much to look forward to! We hope our videos give you some idea of what to expect and lots of places to look forward to visiting ☀️
New to your channel! I love what you do! You're a source of inspiration !
Hi @TravelandTellno1 🤗 Thank you for your kind comments and for watching our videos!
Thank you for this lovely video.
Thanks so much Usman 😊 We hope you had a great weekend!
Thank you Beth and Paul for sharing this beautiful hidden garden. We bypassed Cooroy on our way to Kabi Golf, when our children were still kids, almost 20 years ago. Now there is a reason to stop there in future.
Hi Sidek, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 🤗 Cooroy is a pretty little town and definitely worth a visit! It was a very cute little town 20 years ago!
Thanks for another great video, Noosa is definitely on my list. After a 2 year pandemic delay, we’ve finally booked a holiday to Brisbane in October. I’m so excited! I’ve got 15 days to convince my husband and 15yr old that this is the place we should move to (from Switzerland)!!! What would be your best tips to convince them that Brisbane is the best place to live? 😀😀😀 I’ve got 4 nights in Caloundra and 11 in South Brisbane. Thank you.
Hi Vanessa, we ❤️ Switzerland and have been lucky to have visited there a couple of times 🤗 You must be very excited about your holiday in October….you’ve chosen a great month because the weather in October is usually sunny, warm enough to swim but not too hot ☀️
15 days is great amount of time to have a good look around Sth East Qld. We think your 15 yr old might like a visit to the Gold Coast…it’s only around an hour’s drive from Brisbane. Of course there’s plenty to see and do around Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast too….we hope our videos can give you some inspiration 😊 Just make sure you take a city cat ferry on Brisbane river one evening….Brisbane looks spectacular from the river! Oh, and a swim In Southbank’s lagoon pool (day or night) is fun on a warm day 😉 We hope you have the best holiday….who knows? They might just fall in ❤️ with Brisbane ☀️ without too much effort!
Hi Vanessa...we just remembered.....Eat St!!! You must take your 15 year old there 😮 they are guaranteed to ❤️ it!
Thank you for answering, some top ideas! I’m sure they’ll fall in love with Brisbane. P.s loving the chooks, I think you’re going to have to do a special episode dedicated to them 🤣🤣
Wonderful. Noosa was best travel destination when I visited last summer 🌊 🏝 🛥 🏄♀️
Hi TenYang 🤗 Thank you for your kind feedback! Noosa is great isn’t it?! We hope our video brought back some happy holiday memories for you! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 😊
Those places look amazing. Those botanic gardens look peaceful and quiet. Love the hidden spots. Love the Autumn trees at the moment.
Question: if you could choose between beach and forrest/bush what would you chose and why?
Have you been camping before?
Thanks Imogen ❤️ Great question! (we'll answer it in this weeks video) 😉
Yep, enjoyed the video. Another travel tour in a very nice tranquil spot. When it is raining , it would be interesting to have a composite of how it was over the few days. Just to give us an idea of how it was at your place. Thanks again and take care.
Thanks @Entropy Spin 🤗 That's a great idea, we'll try and get little snippets this week and show you in our next video. Hopefully, it won't be as bad as they are saying....
For the Q and A - are you planning to resume your overseas trip originally planned before the pandemic?
Hi Lucy, thanks for your question 🤗 We will definitely answer it in our next video 😉
We have ben going to Noosa for over 40 years , staying at one establishment -cheaper than most , but they had new owners who spoilt the Unit with hard furniture on a Bali style, we are a bit older and can't get up on large stools on the breakfast table , nor like the hard lounge suites, so will be looking for accom in probably Noosavile , 3 bdr and no stairs, opposite the river , Peg just loved this video as after 40+ years we did not know about the Noosa Botanical gardens, what about the Sunday Roast at Apolonian Hotel in Boreen Point out past Tewantin. Keep up the great work Philltheflyer and Peg
Hi Phil and Peg 🤗 Wow! You both must know Noosa very well! Noosaville is beautiful isn't it? Things are quiet there off-season at the moment, so you should be able to easily find a unit or townhouse perfect for your needs 😊 Yes, we have been to the Apollonian Hotel in Boreen Point and we included it in our 'Boreen Point' video last year. The food is absolutely delicious there!
Lovely spots!
Thank you for sharing those Noosa "nooks and crannies". ---- While you were there, did you meet any crooks and nannies? :)
Terrific camera work and musical selections again.
Ha ha ‘nooks & crannies’, thanks David, we left home late on Thursday afternoon to make this video because we heard it would be our last sunny day for a while (we’re expecting lots of rain this week). Noosa is very familiar to us and we love going there. We’re always trying to improve the quality of our videos even though we use basic equipment etc. So it’s nice to get positive feedback like this 🤗
Those hidden areas look great. Thanks for sharing. Is your pool finished? 😍
Thanks Lynn, we hope you're still enjoying your holiday ❤️ A couple of people have asked about our pool, so we'll talk about it and show you the progress in our Q & A later this week 🤗
Love the chicken 😍
Can’t wait to visit the Sunshine Coast later in the year
Really looking forward to bush walks in Noosa national park
Which one is the best? I see photos of one that looks like a huge rock pool at end
Hi @ Sammie Bear 🤗 We ❤️ our chickens too!!! Noosa National Park is a sensational place and we've walked all over it! It sounds like you're talking about the lesser-known Fairy Pools...The Fairy Pools are two natural tidal pools lying low between the basalt rocks at the eastern end of Granite Bay, near Noosa. It takes around 30 minutes to walk there from the Noosa National Park car park. Our tip is to go there on a weekday (less people around) and in the morning when the tide is not high and the water is not rough 😉 Oh, and don't forget to take water and plenty of sun protection ☀️
@@BethandPaultravel ohh Thankyou so much !! I’ve been watching all your day trips to get ideas💖 I love them!! Thankyou
Hi Beth and Paul 👋. Lovely video as always, these are some beautiful places 😍! We had a question (hope it's not too late 😬) we've been watching a lot of videos of people taking a lap around Australia and we lovvveee that idea, so our question is:
Have you ever travelled all over Australia in a van or something? If not would you do it someday?
Hope the rain isn't so bad this time!! Let us know how it was. Stay safe!
Love Ghada and Shahd ❤️
Hello Ghada and Shahd 😊😊 No! You're not too late!!! Great Question...we'll add it to our list for this week's video 🤗 Yes, it has been raining all week...and tomorrow looks to be the worst day as far as heavy rain goes....finger crossed there is minimal flooding. Thanks as always for thinking of us ❤️
How is your pool build going? Could we have an update and see the progress.
Would you ever attempt to do your overseas trip again?
Love your videos 🙂
Hi @It's ME! Molly Emily 🤗 These are great questions...we'll answer them in our Q & A video later this week! We're so happy you're enjoying our videos ❤️
Fabolous and beautiful as always, was wondering money aside including your own place where would either of you choose to live on the sunshine coast and why?
Hi Finlay 😊 Great question...we're looking forward to answering this one in our Q & A later in the week.....
Thank you that was a lovely video & the Botanic Gardens look stunning! Stay safe in all the rain - we really hope there’s no flooding again! 🥰🤗
Our question would be: Generally speaking which 2 months of the year would you say were the best for visiting Brisbane and south-east Queensland? (For blue skies and bright sunny days) Thanks and take care 😊
Thanks so much Julie 🤗 yes, we’re keeping our collective fingers and toes crossed that there will be minimal flooding this time. Great question! We’ll answer it in this weeks video for you 😊
🥰thank you!
Hi Beth & Paul. Lovely video again, thanks. We are thinking of doing a long holiday in Vietnam for our 'big' birthdays in a couple of years and were enjoying watching your earlier videos for inspiration. We were just wondering if you have any plans to go back to Vietnam and continue your travel plans any time in the near future.
Hi @Rob and Ali's Big Days Out 😊 Thank you, we're happy you enjoyed this video. Vietnam is an AMAZING place and a great place for a holiday! That's a great question and several viewers have asked exactly the same thing for this week's Q & A...so we will definitely answer it later this week in our next video 😉
@@BethandPaultravel Looking forward to it. Take care
Nossa, so beautiful , a stunning botanical garden well maintained with a nice shoreline . a place to relax and simply breath. In your upcoming Q & A Harriet and I would like to ask are there any
plans to travel internationally now that things are open? Would you ever consider touring with another couple to a destination that you and another couple could agree?. You're ideal travel
destination outside Australia? Sending you lots of love💖💖 Harriet , Jim and Yuki. Richmond. Va.
Hi Harriet, Jim & Yuki ❤️ Yes, Noosa is very beautiful...such a special place! These are great questions...we'll save them for our Q & A later this week 😊 until then, take care 🤗
Q and A - Who edits the videos? They are always so well done.
Another great question!!! We'll answer it in our Q & A this week 🤗 (We think you'll be surprised with the answer!)
Hi B&P.. Thanks for another fab video 👍🏻Now our question is.. with travels opening up will you be going back to Vietnam to finish your trip? Enjoy take it easy Jacklyn & Chris …Tetbury U.K. 👍🏻🥰xx
Hi Jacklyn & Chris 🤗 we’re happy you enjoyed this one. Aaaaah that’s a really good question and we will answer it on this weeks video for you! On the meantime, have a great week ❤️
Hi Beth and Paul!
My partner Andrew and I have been bingeing your videos for a few weeks now and love your adventures!
Andrew is originally from QLD but we’re living in WA at the moment and heading to QLD next week
We’re doing a few days on the Sunny Coast, what would be your must-see’s on a short trip?
Hi Elodie and Andrew 🤗 thank you for your message. Unfortunately, next week has a rainy forecast. Make sure you keep an eye on the weather reports so that you keep safe at all times. Even so, the Sunny Coast covers a huge area so the weather can be different depending on where you are! Don’t worry 😉 you can still have a great time 😊 The waterfalls on the Sunshine Coast look spectacular during and after the rain. Gardners Falls are flat and a very short distance from the carpark. They are near Maleny. Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, also in Maleny, has a great, flat, bushwalk and if the rain is not heavy, the trees give some protection, they also have an interactive display and a great cafe with delicious food and scenic views. Kondalilla Falls are also fantastic! Walking around the very quaint town of Montville can also be done in the rain…there are lots of interesting shops and some great cafes and restaurants there! The Sunshine Coast also has plenty of breweries that offer craft beers, there are also day spas, wineries and galleries that are not weather dependent. The pretty Noosa Hinterland town of Pomona has a Gin Distillery and serves great food. Awesome sea views can still be enjoyed at any of the waterfront restaurants or surf life saving clubs. Driving through the Noosa Hinterland or driving along David Low Way are favourites of ours and the scenery is spectacular. Mooloolaba wharf shops and restaurants are worth a wander and you’ll get the freshest of seafood from the Mooloolaba Spit 😋 We really hope you have an awesome holiday despite the rain ❤️ Feel free to ask us questions 🤗
Hi there from Thailand lovely beach perfect weather and I have a question for ya. If I plan going to Australia as a foreigner what should I bring and shouldn't ?
Hi @TK AKA the meatball 😊 Thanks for watching our videos from Thailand ❤️ Good Question! We will include it in our Q & A video later this week 😉
That was such another lovely video. I really love watching your tours anywhere around Queensland. I am from the Philippines planning to move in Brisbane. My question would be, which suburb do you think is cheaper to live in? And how is the culture in the office when working with Australians? Any tips and do's & don'ts? Thank you so much~! More powers to you both~!!!
Hi Ivy 🤗 thanks so much, we’re really pleased you’re enjoying our videos. They’re great questions! We will answer them in our next video for you 😊
@@BethandPaultravel Yay! I can't wait. Thank you so much!
The fairy pools use to be a little hideaway the locals would.swim at , it was full of sea creatures like star fish corals and anemones, then it started being plastered all over social media , now you go there and it's full of garbage and empty beer cans and cigarette butts and not a sea creature to be seen anywhere.
Hi Geoff, that’s really sad. It’s been over 25 years since we went there…and it was beautiful ❤️
How has the Sunshine Coast change since before the height of the pandemic?
Have you experienced any negatives from sharing on RUclips and if so how have you dealt with that?
How did you first start sharing on RUclips - I have lots of content but so nervous about starting.
Hi @Intrepid Nurse 🤗 These are awesome questions! We will answer them this week 😉 Thanks (as always) for watching ❤️
Hey Beth and Paul,
What made you move from Brisbane to the Hinterland since it looked like you enjoy the city and towns around? How far is your next town? Did you rent the house you live in or did you buy it?
Cheers, Werner
Hey Werner 🤗 These are great questions, we'll answer them in our Q & A video later this week!
Thankyou for showing us this beautiful spot. The gardens are beautiful. Dear chooky sitting on your arm. She’s gorgeous..Hoping you don’t get too affected by the downpour..🤞❤️
Hi @4evaCavaliers 🤗 Yes, we really ❤️ our chickens and they are happiest when they are foraging around our garden but can hear our voices inside the house...they just like to know we're nearby. When we walk out onto the balcony, they hear our wire door and come running up to greet us (very cute 😉 ). Thank you - we're keeping our collective fingers and toes crossed that the downpour is not as bad as they are saying it will be.....
I'm thinking of moving to brisbane for university next year. I'm an australian living overseas but never been to brisbane. What would you say is the best and worst part of living in brisbane? Thanks for another great video.
Hi Allie 🤗 This is a great question...we'll answer it in our Q & A video later this week!
Hi Beth and Paul, we are coming to Sunshine Coast on this Thursday but the weather seems not in our favour. What can we do at Sunshine Coast when is wet.? We will be at Sunshine Coast for 4days. Thank you. Ying
Hi Ying, thank you for your message. Unfortunately, this week has a rainy forecast. Make sure you keep an eye on the weather reports so that you keep safe at all times. Walking around the very quaint town of Montville can also be done in the rain…there are lots of interesting shops and some great cafes and restaurants there! For some retail therapy, Sunshine Plaza is great - it is the largest shopping centre on the Sunshine Coast and has a river flowing through it. There’s a cinema there too. Sealife in Mooloolaba gives you a glimpse of underwater life and you could easily spend a couple of hours there. The Sunshine Coast also has plenty of breweries that offer craft beers, there are also day spas, wineries and galleries to enjoy 😊 Buderim Ginger Factory can also be enjoyed on a rainy day…and it’s free entry! (Their warm scones with ginger jam and cream are to die for!). Great sea views can still be enjoyed at any of the waterfront restaurants or Surf Clubs along the Sunshine Coast. Maroochydore has Holey Moley with indoor mini golf, ten pin bowling and food/drinks. The Big Boing IndoorTrampoline Park is at Birtinya and Caloundra has the fantastic Queensland Aviation Museum with over 80 historic military and civilian planes on display. The Big Kart Track in Landsborough offers all weather racing! They are open in almost all weather conditions. We hope you have an awesome holiday despite the rain ❤️
@@BethandPaultravel thank you.
I love all the places. Please don't promote this pretty good spots and make crowds 😆
Hi @The Travel Junkie 🤗 We love all these places too! Like many areas, the tourism numbers in Queensland have decreased significantly through the pandemic....it will probably be a long time until those tourist numbers return to anywhere near pre-pandemic times. As we travel around, we see businesses closing or struggling and we really hope things return to normal soon ❤️
Do chickens attract snakes and has this been an issue for you?
Hi Tinky 🤗 No, we have seen snakes in our backyard and they leave us alone if we leave them alone. Snakes would prefer the chickens eggs more than the chickens 🐔 we take the eggs out of their nests everyday and we keep their chook house clean and tidy. So far, our chickens have not been harmed because they have not attracted the attention of snakes. However, we have had straying cats try to hunt them and this has been more of an issue for us. In the entire Sunshine Coast region, it is illegal to let your cats roam outside…..because they cause issues for local livestock, wildlife and birds 🦘🦜🦆
What’s ya chickens name?
Hi Nick, there’s Katsu, Floppy (she has a floppy crown), Layla and Stella 🐓🐓🐓🐓
