- Do you ever wonder what it would be like to live in Queensland? People always tell us that we live an idyllic life…but do we? In this video, we give you an insight into what our life is like living in Queensland - in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland area.
It’s currently Autumn and that means we’re enjoying mild days, occasional rain, and cooler overnight temperatures. Join us as we give you a sneak peek into our lifestyle…

Hi, we're Beth & Paul from Brisbane, Australia and we love to travel!
Paul retired on 28th February 2020 and on the 1st March 2020, we set out on a 6-month adventure around South East Asia. This was a well-planned once-in-a-lifetime travel experience! It was our intention to show you how you can have a great time travelling without spending a fortune.
Our timing wasn't great - with the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus and subsequent global turmoil less than a month into our trip.
We returned to Australia and turned our focus on making little videos about the beautiful region we live in.... South East Queensland.....and sharing everything our beautiful State has to offer!
We do our best to post our videos fortnightly 😊

Great "Hinterland Life" incentive! Donna and I are visiting Australia right now! Donna's sister and husband have driven us down from their Brisbane home to Canberra for a good look around and we are presently in Sydney for a few more days, Next we'll meander back to Brisbane and a bit later, we'll be up in your Sunshine Coast and Hinterland areas. We’re so happy that you enjoyed it! Ha ha yes, the chook door is great….it lets them out at the time we set and locks them up 10 minutes after sunset when they’re all back in their coop 🤗

Hi Sandra, we used to live in Brisbane, but we moved 90 minutes away 3 years ago. We love where we live and yes, we’re very lucky that we’re the best of friends ❤️

I've loved seeing this video. I was eating ice cream for dessert while watching yous eat breakfast. Those fish and chips look delicous. Autumn is so beautiful in Toowoomba also. Beautiful sunny days. Not liking the cold. I often take the dog for his walk at 4:30 in he afternoon. Just before the sun sets really. Always plenty of people out walking. What a lovely Friday night tradition you guys have.

Thanks Juke. We hope you and Steve are going well. It’s getting cooler here now 22-25c in the day and 15c overnight. We don’t mind the cooler weather though…it’s nice to have the wood fire going in a month or so 😊

I love watching your videos. Il be staying with my sister in Peregian Springs next march for 6 weeks. It's so beautiful all around there. I came in 2022 from England. We're going to melbourne this time and up to hervey Bay. I love coolum and noosa. Thanks for your videos xx
Wow, it sounds like you’re going to have an amazing trip! Autumn is the best time to visit Melbourne….make sure you wander through the botanical, exhibition or treasury gardens, take a tram to South Melbourne market on a Saturday morning and enjoy one of their famous South Melbourne market dim sins for breakfast and have a lobster tail (pastry) and cappuccino at Brunetti’s in Carlton….these are some of our favourite things to do whenever we visit Melbourne ❤️

We are packing up to come to bris from uk. We were talking about our lounge wall whether to change the colour and lo and behold you are painting your room the exact same colour. Duck egg. Think we will leave it. 😄
Hi Jemima, thanks for your message. The colour you saw on the video looks different in normal light and it’s not duck egg. It’s called ‘Footpath’ and is more of a sage colour. Good Luck with your packing!

Show us more about the bee house you have there. What system you have? I saw one called " Hive Flow " , super fantastic system but cost arm and a leg😢😢
Hi Jules, thank you, we’re so pleased you enjoyed our video 🤗 Yes, we have Flow Hives, they are an Australian invention made by a father and son who are passionate about bee-keeping. They do cost a lot more but we knew nothing about bee-keeping when we started and the Flow Hives make it simple for beginners. The purchase of the hive includes a very simple series of bee-keeping video lessons and ongoing support. The Flow Hive takes all the hard work out of extracting the honey and there’s no mess! We did a video called ‘Our Hinterland Summer’ which shows us extracting our first lot of honey 🍯 we think you might enjoy watching that 🐝 it is possible to buy Flow Hives from the company which are not 100% perfect and may need an extra couple of screw holes, etc but nothing major wrong with them. We did this when we bought our 2nd hive and saved a lot of money 🤗
