I’m from Sydney- I always thought Brisbane would be boring, but came here in 2016 and never left 😊
Best city in Australia easily.
I live in Brisbane and really take for granted living here but this was so refreshing to watch it through new eyes you really made it look beautiful. I’m determined to go out and be a tourist in my own city again. Hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday xx
💯 we are very lucky. Most people do take it for granted and don't see the beauty and peace they have right in front of them.
Hi sir Apde A VA Alg Alg Australia na brisbane city na Alg Alg video Tama mane rooj RUclips ma mane moklta reju ne sir
So true we take it for granted how lucky we are I guess it's time for me to explore the city to appreciate it more
Can’t wait to go to Brisbane and the Goldcoast!!! Loving these Australia vlogs!
We can’t wait for you to experience it as well! Happy that you are enjoying the videos ❤️ thanks for watching!
And SUNSHINE COAST!!
The beauty of Australia is that most people are friendly & and welcoming, but each state has its individuality and own vibe.. but I also must say that Tasmania is an often overlooked gem 💎. It is steeped in history and SO much natural beauty like no other state
We completely agree, Australians are some of the most friendly & kind people we’ve ever encountered in our travels
Welcome to my city!!! ❤ Hope you enjoy it. You guys gotta check out Eat Street while you're here, there's also an amazing ice cream/gelato shop in West End (vintage, op-shoppy area) called Anita Gelato. There is always a huge line but it is so worth it!
Ahhh we wanted to check out Eat Street so badly but didn't end up getting around to it during our short visit. Will definitely be back for that!! And oh my gosh we actually had Anita Gelato on our first night in Brisbane and LOVED it.. we went back every single night after that hahaha
I did three stints in Brisbane, between 1973 and 1996. My daughter still lives in Brisbane. So I have seen Brisbane develop over the years, and what you see today is not what I saw in 1973, trust me. Nevertheless, today it's my favourite city in Australia. What they have done in the past three decades or so is nothing less than phenomenal. I was there when they first introduced the river ferries. I didn't think they'd last, but they proved me wrong. They've been around for close to 30 years now, I think. The trick was that they're not in fact ferries, but more like a river-borne bus service!
Brisbane in the 70s & 80s was a backwards s'hole run by corrupt police, religious bigots & evil politicians. Much more chill now.
wow as a Brisbanite i’m so impressed by what you chose to do- you really had a day like a local !
you have to see the Gold Coast and go up to the Great Barrier Reef while youre here- you can get there from Cairns which is beautiful as well.
enjoy guys! x
We are happy to know that we gravitated towards the more local activities / spots ❤️ we do lots of research to see what will match our vibe best when visiting places
We're Brisbaner's not Brisbanite's.
Welcome to Brissie! So much to see & do in the greater Brisbane area. Lots of contrasts. True, many people generally go the Gold or Sunshine Coasts for beautiful surf beaches, but we have islands (check out North Stradbroke "Straddie" or Moreton (Tangalooma Resort) for laid back beach vibes & gorgeous sandy beaches). Also Bribie Island. Different suburbs have very different characteristics - some old & quaint, some new, some seaside (eg. Manly, Wynnum, Sandgate, Shorncliffe, Redcliffe - all great in their own way). Heaps of parks & gardens. Southbank is s must-do, & Mt Coot-tha. Then there are the surrounding rural towns, lakes, waterfalls etc in the hinterland - eg Montville, Maleny.
You two have a beautiful outlook on life - I know you will love it here.
How long are you staying? - more than happy to show you around a bit if you are here for a while.
Cheers! (Try a shandy! - I'm not really a beer drinker either, but it's pretty good on a "stinking hot day"! 😊🍻
Your videos are my comfort place and I would like to thank you so much for every single one!! Also I can't wait for you to start your podcast again! Much love
This means the world to us ❤️ thank you so much for the support! And as for the podcast, we promise that it is coming back - and when it does come back, it will never be stopping again haha
So nice to see you in my city!!! you picked things that I would definitely tell a first-timer to check out :) was so surprised you went to the Milton markets!! a lot smaller than most, but always make for a nice Sunday. Hope you enjoyed your trip!
Haha yess Milton Markets was somewhat small but we really enjoyed it, and loved the more intimate & local vibe to it. We absolutely loved our time in Brisbane, and hope to come back soon 😍
@@juanmarcelandrhylancan I suggest the West End Markets on Saturday morning at Davies Park for your next time. Great people watching under beautiful fig trees next to the river and great for picnics.
Hello! Welcome to Brisbane! I moved here from Sydney about 8 years ago and I'm never leaving. I love the laid back, small city feel. I'm an easy walk from some of the places you visited and feel very grateful that I get to enjoy it all the time.
I'm going to share your video with some of my friends from the USA (they want to visit Australia).
I love that you loved my home town, there’s something for everyone with the most charming, laid back vibe for a city. Such a perfect place to just wander and enjoy our great, local hospitality ❤
I am from Germany
Australien is my Tream❤
this vlog made me so happy. your guys vibe is so completely your own- wow i love traveling this made me excited to go to australia! i’m about to go and binge all your vlogs!
People who says it's a boring city never lived in a truly boring ones. Very beautiful city 😍
Agreed!!
There's enough greenery to make it not boring.
Loved this so much as usual!!!
Glad you are having a good time here !!
The tipsy part made me laugh 😂
Brisbane is a great place. Awesome people & awesome weather. I lived there for 3 months and had nothing at all negative to say about my experience 🙂
Hahaha she definitely had a bit of a placebo effect or something.. there is just NO way that little sip got her tipsy 😂 and we are so happy you loved your time there as well - it was such a lovely city, and we are so grateful that we got to experience it!
Love when people give Brisbane a chance and appreciate it for the beautiful city it is.
I used to live in Brisbane, you guys will love Southbank, so many cute restaurants
what yall do for living is literally my life’s dream
They’re models
We are beyond grateful for the life that we live ❤️ you can totally do it too! We believe in you.
You should do a day trip to Moreton Island or K’Gari Island while in Brisbane.
Thanks so much for the suggestions!!
I enjoy your vlogs so much and especially this one! I´m thinking of doing my abroad semester in Brisbane and this video just made me fall in love with this idea even more!🙈💓
Thank you so much ❤️ and oh my goshhh you would absolutely love it, you have to go for it 😍
Now you've done it. Brisbane my home town and so much to see. Even things i have not done yet. Keep it up guys.
Should be nice as the weather is starting to cool down. 😊
Finally!! Don’t make me wait again xx 😭😭😭 loveeeee watching you both smile so much
Haha you’re so sweet for noticing we posted this one later than usual 🥹 thank you! ❤️❤️
A good compromise for beer is an alcoholic ginger beer. That may convert Rhylan.
Appreciate you alls sharing ❤
Thank you for watching ❤️
Perfect timing - just checked the weather in Brissie this week and it looks like 6 days of rain. Still, even that would beat the heat and humidity that Queenslanders have to deal with in Jan-Feb. Happy trails.
The greek restaurant close to FELONS is THE BEST restaurant in Brisbane - Greca Restaurant!
Yum so good. Spent new year there and was back again a few weeks ago. Outstanding food, service and views both times!
We saw that place and almost stopped & ate there! Dang.. we will have to come back for it haha
@@juanmarcelandrhylan do it next time. You won’t regret it!
yesssss, totally worthy coming back!!@@juanmarcelandrhylan
Omg this is my city! so glad you guys enjoyed it here, it's always nice to see a place from your eyes through these vlogs. Take care on your travels and come back soon!
Great video. We love Brisbane!
Yaaay New city!!!! Cant wait!
🥹❤️❤️
From Sydney glad you liked our city, Brisbane is a beautiful city, it has a similar feel to Sydney just a bit more laid back, enjoy your time there, if you can get out to see things like Glasshouse Mountains and Moreton Island you will be blow away.
An I love the video! U guys always make my day sm better ❤
You are so kind! Thanks for watching ❤️❤️
your vlogs always make my day better, i adore you angels!
You are the sweetest 🥹 thank you so much ❤️❤️
@@juanmarcelandrhylan ❤️❤️❤️
With the beer, you can order a 'Shandy' it's beer mixed with lemonade and makes it much more tolerable to drink. You can also order a 'Lemon Lime & Bitters' which is super refreshing and 'basically' non alcoholic. It has such a small amount of alcohol that kids and pregnant women drink it no problem.
Great suggestion! Thank you so much 🤍
you guys are the sweetest couple, ever,, wish you amore happiness, joy, love & fulfillment ,,
LOVE & LIGHT
💙💜💜💙💙💙💕💕💕
I go through phases with beer. But what got me back into it was adding coke to it. It makes it soooooo much easier to drink. Like incredibly easier. You add to taste, so add maybe half a cup first, taste it and add more if you need.
It honestly helped me find my love for beer again. And now I can drink it without the coke 😊
Wow the headphone movie thing is really cool!
Just another amazing vlog ❤
Also 9:31 this should be the thumbnail! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much 🥹❤️
you guys are so lovely! i love watching it. Such a harmonic beautiful couple ! i feel so peaceful watching it! Specially in Australia, which it one of my favorite country
So happy to hear that you enjoy our videos ❤️ thank you for the support! 🥰
peaceful
Great vlog, but you might want to check out South Brisbane and South Bank! I live in the area, never get bored of walks in southbann, and walking my dog over the Goodwill Bridge to the Botanic Gardens is always a highlight. Don't forget about Mount Coot-tha for a romantic sunrise and the beautiful Roma Street Parklands.
Very nice thank you for sharing 🇦🇺
Thanks for watching ❤️
Just wait until you head up to Mount Tamborine.
There are a bunch of beautiful German and Irish pubs and restaurants, and they have some of the best fudge shops up there.
The views and hikes are incredible!
Assuming they've recovered since the recent floods...
yall are angelic
Wow, sweetest comment 🥹❤️
Not for when y’all are in Oz, but maybe when you get back home have Rhylan try a very cold Blue Moon with a slice of orange or an ice cold Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy. Both are solid options for non-beer drinkers. Light and fruity just don’t let them get too warm!!! Can’t guarantee either will be her “go to” beverage choice, but they will give her options when you want to have a beer together! Cheers 🍻
Blue moon with an orange slice is one of my all time favs! I’ll definitely have her try that when we are back in the states, thanks for the reminder haha
No daylight savings in Brisbane it gets enough natural sun for months and the best part in summer for me when the humidy is high is when the sun goes down.
Great northern light would be my suggestion. It's what got me into beer. And I was a hard no to beer
Stone and wood pacific pale is a delicious beer. I like a good xxxx sumer lime. Im a sweet tooth and i work in the Brisbane sun and i love a beer in summer. So glad you had a good time. When the vid ended i wanted to ser more and i have spent 50 years living between Brisbane and the good coast. It was easy sub to your channel. Warm welcome to Australia 😊😊
Milton markets are such a little local find haha next time I would recommend west end markets too! my fav by the river xx
We almost did west end markets, but ended up liking what we saw in reviews/pictures for Milton better 🤍 next time we’ll try out West End for sure!
Next time you come to Australia you should come to Canberra the capital of Australia there are so many fun things to do such as the Royal Australian Mint, Questacon, National Arboretum, National Gallery of Australia, and the National Museum of Australia and so much more. both the gallery and museum are free entry. And for cafes i suggest On-Lake Cafe, Maple + Clove, and Močan & Green Grout hope you come visit Canberra soon!
I love that you watched Priscilla, when its leading actor, Jacob Elordi, was born in Brisbane!
Loved your video of Brisbane. My home town. A great refreshing beer is a ginger beer, there are non alcoholic and alcoholic ones, some really great ones to try. Cheers 🍻
Welcome to Qld!!
Thank you so much!
Green Beacon Wayfarer converted me to a beer drinker- also brissy brewery!
So cool
Thank you!!
The little red ferry is free! It’s called the city hopper!
There's a bakery there with pink boxes that does giant biscuits....please try it
Brisbane is so beautiful city, so very green, I love it so mach❤
We loveddd it! So beautiful!
im waiting for the gold coast vlog 😌❤️
Hopefully you enjoyed it 🤍
Great video, You should definitely check out the Gold Coast and if you can you should go to Nimbin it’s a 2hr drive from the Gold Coast also the Sunshine Coast is nice too
Gold coast is next week's vlog!! So excited to share it with you :)
Oh Rhylan, I don't like beer either. The solution is to ask for a "shandy". It's a mixture of beer and lemonade and I think you'll love it 😊
Btw loved the book review. I'm definitely going to take the recommendation.
Thanks for another awesome post guys 🌿🌻🌴🌻🌿
I was going to say the same thing! 😊
Thank you so much for the suggestion!! Happy you liked the video, and my book review haha ❤️❤️
Another great video! It'll be interesting to see your next video in the Gold Coast -- I've only been there once (more than a decade ago), and the most memorable part of it was the big outlet shopping centre and buying Adidas Sambas on sale! I should probably make better memories, but TBH I just didn't love the GC as it struck me as being really tacky. A lot of people just go for the amusement parks and meter maids I think. I definitely prefer Sydney and Brisbane, but that's just me.
We were pretty nervous about visiting the Gold Coast, especially after seeing that the main highlight appeared to be the theme parks.. but as you'll see in next week's vlog we absolutely LOVED it!! We ended up finding a ton of special things to do that are more our vibe, and we're super excited to share it with you 😍
I was also not a beer drinker but in Germany we have a beer called Radler. Basically its beer with a bit a Sprite, its super light and not bitter she should try it its amazing and refreshing
Mountain Culture won best beer 2 years in a row! They came from the Blue Mountains outside of Sydney.
My husband loves it and it’s the only one that I can have a sip of and don’t hate!! Try it out!!!
Rhylan should try Balter XPA beer! It’s brewed on the Gold Coast if you’re heading down that way.
I have a suggestion for getting Rhylan into drinking beer….try a Japanese beer like Asahi because it’s brewed with rice. I didn’t drink beer until I went to Japan and discovered this was more palatable because it’s sweeter. From there I started branching out into other beers eventually! I love Brisbane. Enjoy!!
Japanese beers are amazinggg, I tried to get her into those as well but she wasn’t feeling them either 😭 hahaha
asahi dry is a pretty decent beer that wont upset your stomach
If you don’t like beer but like ciders. Sour beers or beers with a fruit element or shandys are a good start and are the types of beer I now like to drink 😊
❤ I love you both 🍀🪴🌻
We love u too 🥹🤍
It would be interesting to see you guys spending a day apart abroad like what would the other spend their day doing….idk I think it would be interesting to see!
This is a cool idea, we’ll think about this one! Thanks
I used to not like beer. Get Rhylan to try 1664 Blanc, fruli
No daylight savings in Queensland. We're an hour behind all eastern states of Australia
this is a bit late but she should try a pale ale mixed as a shandi (half lemonade and half beer). It's a perfect drink for the ladies
Welcome to QLD and thank you the correct of pronunciation of 'Bris-bin' instead of how most Americans say it "Bris-bane". Glad you loved our city and I can't wait to hear what you think of the GC in comparison.
Happy to hear that we nailed the pronunciation haha. As for our impression of GC vs Brisbane - Brisbane is still more of our vibe, but we loved both a lot!!
Brisbane is absolutely beautiful
It definitely is! So green & sunny 💓
put lime cordial in it- lime and lager is what got me drinking beer
Did you ride the Brisbane eye at Southbank?
You seem like a realy cute couple glad your liked Queensland.
I also dislike beer Rhylan! But in Spain we have something called "una clara" that is basically a beer with some lemon added in it and it tastes way nicer. There's also an actual brand (Amstel) that makes a beer called Radler and is also like a "clara", I think you should definitely try it some time! Love your vlogs guys! 💕
This sounds so nice! Will have to try it out next time we are in Spain! Thanks so much for watching ❤️❤️
@@juanmarcelandrhylan, you don't have to be in Spain. Keep your eyes peeled for "Radler". Wikipedia: "Radler
Radler (German: [ˈʁaːdlɐ] ⓘ, German for "cyclist") has a long history in German-speaking regions. It commonly consists of a 50:50 mixture of beer and a lemon-flavoured soft drink.[2]
The term Radler originates with a drink called Radlermass ("cyclist litre") that was created by innkeeper Franz Kugler in the small town of Deisenhofen, just outside Munich. During the great cycling boom of the Roaring Twenties, Kugler created a bicycle trail from Munich through the woods that led directly to his drinking establishment.[citation needed]
While the term Radler has been widely attributed to Kugler, the combination of beer and soft drink is documented in texts dating from 1912.[3] Radler is consumed not only in Bavaria, but also in Germany, Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Italy, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Poland, Portugal, Netherlands, Norway, Bulgaria, the United States, Canada, and Romania.
In northern Germany, a half-and-half mix of Pilsner beer and soft drink is known as an Alster (short for Alsterwasser, German: [ˈalstɐˌvasɐ] ⓘ, German for "Water from the Alster", a river in Hamburg). Regionally the Radler and Alster may refer to shandies made with either citrus or orange flavoured softdrinks, with the two terms either contrasting or referring to the same drink. In Austria, a saure Radler is a mix of lager and soda water.[4]
In Austria, it is common to use Almdudler instead of lemonade for the Radler.
Radler is very popular during the summer months due to its low alchohol content and reputation for being a 'thirst-quencher.'[5]
In New Zealand, the word "radler" was trademarked by DB Breweries for their "Monteith's Radler" beer, which is a citrus-flavoured, full-strength (5%) beer.[6] This has led to some brewers to use the names "reldar" (Radler spelled backwards) and "Cyclist" (the literal meaning of Radler).[7]
In the Netherlands, shandy and Radler are largely seen as two different drinks, shandy being a 0,5% alcohol drink popular as a children's drink during the 70s, as not >0.5% was officially seen as non-alcoholic.[citation needed] The classic Radler, known from Germany, and since a decade or so[when?] also sold as pre-mixed drinks in increasing popularity by most large Dutch beer brewers in increasing variants.
Darn, need to get back over to Brisbane. Been to long between xxxx beer and Bundy redlabel and walks in Southbank.
Try Matso Mango beer. I don’t like beer either but will happily drink mango beer. It’s from WA so you may have to search for it.
Jubel Beer! I don't like beer at all but this is so nice. It is cut with peach or elderflower. A light and sweet beer drink!
Ooh see that sounds so nice!! Okay writing this one down.. thank you!!
❤❤
I just moved away from Brisbane after living there for 5 years. This is going to be my new comfort video 🥹
Oh and for the beer, try drinking a “sour” (fruity beer)! That’s the only kind of beer I like.
❤I love you
I’m exactly the same as Rhylan re beer. Never tasted one that I wanted to try a second sip.
Ryan could try one of the craft beers infused with Mango or lime etc. Only beer I drink any more.
Sorry I meant Rhylan, it's auto spelcheck
You have to go up to noosa
start rhylan out with a hefeweizen beer. its citrusy. shocktop or blue moon are good ones to start with.
I also don’t enjoy 🍺 but I like sour beer, maybe give that a try!
You should come to Copenhagen Denmark in the Summer, I'm pretty sure you would love it.
We are trying to plan an interrailing trip starting up in Copenhagen and working our way down via train to Portugal. Top bucket list trip for us next after all this!
I’m English student I’ve learned and enjoyed a lot with yours videos 🫶
We love that! Thanks so much for watching, and good luck with your English learning journey ❤️
Welcome to my home, it always will be
Try Stone & wood pacific ale
Also Wild Yak pacific ale is nice
Please share ur lipstick collectio💄plz plz plz ❤
Personally i don't usually like pure beer that much but if its mixed for example the brand Becks lemonade or in Germany there is a beer called Alsterwasser its beer mixed with sprite (LEMONADE) , I luv drinking that in Summer. Rhylan u should try that.
Ooh this sounds nice, I’ll give it a try sometime!
Try a non-alcoholic ginger beer specifically Bundaberg Ginger Beer.
Love Bundaberg!! Hahaha
